Not to get too "I'm a dad!" melodramatic about this, but you guys presented some hesitancy about Ethan continuing his journey once he discovered Rose's situation. If that happened to me and there was even the slightest chance I could undo what went wrong? Hell yeah, I would have gone through everything Ethan did. I totally get it.
As a father of a seven-week old girl, the RE-story hit me surprisingly hard and close to home. And I really thought about this during the game; would I put myself through all this the way Ethan does? And I eventually decided that yes, I for sure would. I would be scared shitless and probably wouldn’t survive but that is beside the point! :D
The Duke did tell Ethan that Rose wasn't dead yet and is more special than anyone thought everybody else kept saying that about Rose so yeah I would have kept going.
Idk if it’s different on hardcore, but the baby was definitely a threat for me. it would catch up to you at the elevator and you had to run in the adjacent room and loop around it or else you would definitely get eaten. maybe I was slow, though, but I died once on that bit.
I don't think the game ends with a time skip. I think Rose ages rapidly, it's kind of alluded to with the flasks she was kept in. The agent in the car seems pretty young too to say Rose is very like Ethan. He wouldn't of known him.
Yeah but she doesnt seem have the mind of a young child in the way that Eveline did despite her rapid aging. I think it's actually a 15 - 20 year jump in time
I don't think Chris is an ass to not have told Ethan. He didn't say after the beginning because he thought mia/Miranda could have infected and controlled Ethan. And then didn't say anything when they meet later near Moreau because he didn't want to have a civilians fighting bioweapons. Which is why in the factory Chris realizes Ethan ain't stopping, so he tells him some of what's going on and gives him the tank. He could have been nicer about it when they meet up the first time (while still being a forceful suggestion of "get out of here Ethan"). But I don't think he's the worst for making the choices he made.
The opening section really worked well for me because I didn't know much about the game other than the vampires. I had no idea lycans were in the game so I had no clue what was hiding out there.
Hey guys, great discussion. Early in the podcast you guys mention why didnt chris tell Ethan why he killed Mia, later in the game they explain that Chris couldnt be sure if Ethan was compromised by Miranda thats why he didnt tell him anything. Im not saying its a great reason but it is explained in the game.
59:25 Kyle's face, I know it was not meant like this but I like to think that Kyle is extremely judgmental of Leo, but he is too nice to say anything lolol
My god, you're right! The whole time I was trying to think who he sounded like. He sounded like a bad impression of someone. I thought maybe it was Billy Bob Thornton, but you're right. It is totally Nicolas Cage.
amazing game but i think by far the biggest design fail was the chris redfield COD sequence. it completely deflated the tension ramp of combat the entire game had spent building. i think that would've been cool as a mercenaries level or something separate from the main game.

Its definitely the kind of thing you dont undestand/feel until you have a child.
Suriel guest host is absolutely wonderful
Suriel did great!
Yes, all the way, give this man more to do on screen.
Ah yes, the deep-ish dive on RE: Village
Yes! Absolutely.
Ha! Deepish-Dive
This was a super dope show. Loved that you guys managed to get the baby expert in too. What a scoop.
Glad he could make the time for us.
I'm usually very busy with babies.
@@KyleHilliard you don't become the baby expert without putting the time in.

I don’t know if it’s intentional. But baby Rose is huge for a new born. Maybe her aging is accelerated and it’s not 14 years later at the end.
That would be sad hopefully she can live for a couple hundred years.

good point!
That agent could easily be old enough

Suriel, I love when you host.
Lovely! Came to UA-cam for exactly a video like this 😁👌
Yay! Thanks for clicking on ours.
Suriel and Leo’s opinions and analysis of this game are right on point. Always enjoy hearing their opinions even when I don’t necessarily agree.

Damn you got the platnium already?!?! How hard is the knife only run??
You can use the lightsaber to make it trivial.
Suriel you look fantastic I have to say home workouts:)
So she was ok living with the mould man? She was ok doing 'stuff' with the mould man? I would her previous mould experiences might have put her off!
Mate, Mia was infected by mold way before Ethan.
@@twodotso yep, for a solid 2 years longer
Do vampires use toilets?
Can we get more Kyle jump scares
...boo!
