Saw them in the rain in front of 80,000 Irish when they opened for U2 in Dublin in 2005. This song is hypnotic. Top 5 21st century song for me. Incredible. Great album too.
To a performer or a band this must be the equivalence of thousands of people singing “We love you 😍” at them. I wish I could experience something like that just once.
I lived in Ireland at the time, and that concert was broadcast live on the radio. My wife and I drove home in our car, and during that song, my wife actually pulled over and stopped, because THIS stopped us in our tracks, literally. Irish crowds are one of a kind. the great Garth Brooks, who sold out 5 shows at 80-thousand people each in Ireland in September 2022 in a bit over 3 hours - Yes, he sold 400K tickets in a bit over 3 hours! - said during one of the shows: "A Sunday night in Ireland kicks the shit out of a Saturday night everywhere else!" that says it all about Irish crowds. Overwhelming! FunFact: Front man Gary's parents were there for the first time at one of their son's band's concerts. Imagine the pride of his parents hearing the crowd singing along to their son's music. I would be in tears all the way through.
There's no better place to be than amongst thousands of fellow music fans with you all singing away to songs you love with the artists on stage in front of you
Musically this is such a simple song but probably the best song of the year, imo. Sometimes uncomplicated and straightforward is so much more satisfying. The words are brilliant, the band is tight, and Gary's clearly having the time of his life up there. Loved this performance and loved this reaction.
I have loved Snow Patrol for years and years, but had never seen this video! Everybody singing like that absolutely made me bawl like a baby! Definitely love your reactions!!
@roguerxyce seeing a very beautiful and intelligent woman have such a great and varied taste in music makes me happy and proud that despite your youth, you can appreciate music from any era......luv u darlin and love your happiness and warmth from a scotsman with similar eclectic audio adorations
Yes, they wrote a song that touched hundreds of thousands of people enough to learn the words, abandon inhibitions and sing along in a big field. Then they led the singing with grace, humour and love. No big deal…
I was working at it “roll on, roll off crew”, there’s a 15 minute window to break down the previous band’s equipment and set the next band up at festivals. I was standing to the right of the picture, but the camera never pans. Approx. 80,000 ppl at that show possibly more. Quarter of a million at the whole festival over 7 stages over 3 days.
RR it's never too late to go to a festival, peace, and love from Scotland, keep those reactions coming out like a conveyer belt you rock x. Try M83 - Intro, the most inspirational song ever.
This one hits home for me. Very personal, very emotional. I don't care the genre, the band, the 'reputation' (stupid concept IMO), if music moves you - even to tears - it's done its job - and if you're lucky enough to really get it on the receiving end, pure joy. And you're better off for having experienced it.
Not being a knob Jason, but what were the criticisms of SP? reputation? genre? I know I'm as old as God's dog and all that, but wtf was that about? (Plz respond, as during the time it took me to post my comment I had to listen to a multi level marketing prat of a woman with plums in her mouth try to plug me her 'wOnDeRfuL oPpOrTuNiTy', despite me not even being fat! Have mercy!) XOXO
when I first heard this I was blown away, loved it so much I made copies on CDs that looked liked vinyl and gave to my close friends. One friend called me a few days later a bit upset, this song is about his partner dying of cancer, in a hospital bed...I still love the track, maybe even more because of where the emotion comes from. Hope you can get to a UK concert Rxyce :)
I love your reactions .. so real and genuine .. the love of music radiates your entire being everytime I watch!!! Big fan! Only one of these channels I've ever even considerd doing the patreon thing lol Just because I would love to hear some of your reactions to The Unbelievable music I can hip u too
I would imagine having that many thousands of people sing your song back to you would make every single hardship you went through to get to that stage just ***poof*** disappear into thin air. What it must feel like!!!
I saw snow patrol at a small festival about a month after their first album and hit. Lead singer obviously nervous, said he was touched that the audience knew the words already. He said it made him feel less anxious. One of the earlier shows at the festival was Lily Allen at her very first festival. Her mum was on the side of the stage watching and encouraging her.
Snow Patrol are fantastic. Gary, the vocalist was also in another band called Tired Pony along with a few other famous musicians. You should definitely check out their song Get On The Road. It was featured on a particularly emotional episode of Shameless and my eyes leaked....a lot!!
'Fix You' by Coldplay, the official video. It's the song I'd LOVE to watch you react to. If Snow Patrol s' 'Run' gets you going, trust me 'Fix You' is going to do it for you too.
Snow Patrol are a brilliant band, one song and band that I highly recomend checking out is a Scottish Band called Run Rig with there song Loch Lomond live on the banks of Loch Lomond.
@@hod2116 No such thing as British, just English, Scottish or Welsh. Scottish independence will see to that. Meanwhile, the north of Ireland comes back to where it should never have left. It'll be some party. Might get Snow Patrol to play Run for our loyalist brethren
You must have had a blast. County Kildare? That makes me think of the Pogues song. A Man You Don't Meet Every Day. I live in Boston and have spent many a summer with kids from Ireland on J-1 visas working for the summer over the years here. They got me into the Pogues. Great times. Great people to drink with as well.
If you like live performances like this then try and check out the band Elbow who are amazing live. For some strange reason there are hardly any reaction videos to them even though they are one of the most respected festival bands of the last 20 years.
I think the group-sing can be experienced on Sundays at church. My mother could not sing. At all. At mass though, she would warble it out loudly. You only noticed if you were next to her. If you were 2 people away, she blended in. Thankfully.
Love your reactions... just listening to a song on the radio that I haven't heard fir years.. "Dreams by The Cranberries "... I think you would love the uniqueness and emotion of this song
Kia ora from New Zealand.....liking ur reaction please react to Stand Walkers cover of ultralight beam .......we have some great music from NZ so I encourage you u take this journey and you will truly enjoy our music from our shores
I was watching your Oasis Don’t look back in anger reaction and was going toRecommend this. Florence and the Machine Cosmic love is another Oxegen crowd reaction. Ah the Boom years of the Celtic Tiger, how miss those days. Dermot Kennedy is well worth a listen too. Start with his NPR tiny desk concert or Moments Passed, the Colors perforce and go from there. You won’t regret it
I lost my wife to cancer two years ago, and this was our song at our wedding.. Made me well up big time..
My condolences brother, I cannot imagine what you're going through but in any case, I wish you happiness for the rest of your days.
Wish you well… keep her memory close to your heart and remember how lucky you were to share the time with her.

I was 18 years old when this song was released. I heard it on the radio while driving the work van. I was blown away by it.
The greatest gift that comes from the audience is when they sing the lyrics for you, at that moment you have succeeded as an artist for eternity
To a performer or a band this must be the equivalence of thousands of people singing “We love you 😍” at them. I wish I could experience something like that just once.
Same!
Lovely sentiments :)
Yeah like when coldplay did fix you live and the crowd sung. Extraordinary vibes.
That first Light Up Light up always gets me. When you sing the song from that point on it just grabs you. Such a masterpiece.

It looks as if all of Ireland must be there! So lovely!!
That has got to be one of the best crowd singing that I have ever heard, along with the crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the Green Day concert
Piano Man live, by Billy Joel.

Maybe best audience participation ever. 100% of audience of 60k singing along in Punchestown, County Kildare, Republic of Ireland. Wow
I have loved Snow Patrol for years and years, but had never seen this video! Everybody singing like that absolutely made me bawl like a baby! Definitely love your reactions!!
One of, if not THE best live songs performance of all time. 10/10+
An artist is assured that they have come up with something that really matters when such a large audience can do that. Pride and validation.
@roguerxyce seeing a very beautiful and intelligent woman have such a great and varied taste in music makes me happy and proud that despite your youth, you can appreciate music from any era......luv u darlin and love your happiness and warmth from a scotsman with similar eclectic audio adorations
Saw them live in Rotterdam....one of the best concerts I`ve ever seen. Just gotta love that smile of Gary *(the singer)*.
You are so precious, angelic in so many ways, thank you for making a hard day a little better 🌺
This song is so amazing..
The lyrics really powerful, and can mean so many different things depending on who and how you listen to them.
I was there in 2009 and it was as amazing as it looked.
They're from my hometown, glad you enjoy them
The man's got some serious lungs. My favourite song of his.
Candy is a tune too along with many others.
Paolo is the man
I love your passion for music. It's such joy to watch you. As much as the joy from the music
I adore Snow Patrol and I'm glad that you're already familiar with them a bit. You should really listen to the song Just Say Yes.
Never heard this song before. Thanks for sharing!
Go and watch the music video that accompanies this song Run by Snowpatrol you will really enjoy it just a most beautiful song.👍
Snow patrol has so many good songs
Can’t beat an Irish crowd. We’re just the best
Scottish is better 😂😂
Irish and Argentinians I'll give you that to be fair. Scots are up there as well

Iconic performance by Snow Patrol and the crowd
Snow Patrol barely did anything

I would love to have been on the outside edge of that crowd. Beautiful performance and great reaction.
Great song.Great reaction. Thanks for getting the day started off in a positive Way..😊🔥
Wow great clip. Snow Patrol are a really good and criminally underrated band. Coldplay nicking some of their light. Awesome.
So happy you covered this one, thank you.
love your enthusiasm on this video and others! You bring a contagious feeling about each video. your gift!!
It's so cool, organic when the artist allows the audience get involved.

It was so good the four UFOs on the top left at 4:03 went completely unnoticed. 🙂
I fell in love with this song after hearing it on The Voice.
