Nice one , I'm happy to say that I was once Pete's neighbor when he lived in the Notting hill area of London and would often have a chat with him when we passed each other near our home's and he came across as a very decent guy despite all the media attention that followed him around in the latter part of his life...
RIP Peter.....
Hi Yensabi very interesting. Thank you. It's always so nice when people actually knew the person. Take care
What did you guys speak about?! Tell us!!!! Please
@@Brenda-ny1gw I would like to know the real man :-)
He lived just around the corner from the station in some beautiful Georgian/regency styled Victorian mansions . I met him and his wife Lynn in the late eighties . He hasn't had any surgery yet but had stopped wearing the goth clothes . I heard later about the surgery and realised he's come out .but it was obvious to me all the way back then He was sooo caring and nuturing in the way straight men aren't .
@@sayeedharem4673 Hi! It's so interesting to hear that about Pete because he usually appeared to be all things except caring and nurturing, especially on CBB 😂. By the way, how was his relationship with Lynne? Did they seem to be a couple, or just two buddies that lived together? I'm curious about the way he treated her before the divorce...
People say things about Boy George but he’s a lovely and generous man with a very soft side who didn’t have to pay for the funeral but knew it was the right thing to do so did it. His mum brought him up well.
I thought Pete was a nice man as well. My mum, bless her soul, loved both of these men and their songs and would dance around the room to them. She was always pleased to see them on the television.
Well said, Elaine. I've got it brought. Some nice memories back for you
People say things about Boy George because he is a registered s@× offender, no amount of money spent will change that fact I'm afraid. No hate to you, I just can't support abusers. Some crimes are unforgivable.
Boy George who kept a tent boy chained to a radiator? Yeah, brought up really well.
@@sandersson2813 exactly what I was about to say,he’s just done an interview because boy George is getting paid loads in get me out of here
Tent boy 🤭
I once met a woman who was actually a friend of his. She said he sang in a choir when he was a school boy and had a beautiful voice. He was a good looking boy, definitely a character and it was a shame that he had procedures which caused him much pain. Bless his soul. I liked his acidic one liners. Think Madonna is trying to look like him now.
Definitely madonna is looking like him .same type plastic surgery
Or a cross with a cat
He sang in a choir?! He didn't mention that in Freak Unique!!
How could she look like him, or want to look like him!? He's trash.
I remember when Pete burns in big brother house I cried when he died rest in peace Pete
This is so sobering to see his grave-site, he influenced my life as a teenager so much in 1985, literally changed my life, so grateful for his presence on this earth
Pete Burns was such a sensitive and sweet soul. RIP ❤️
🤣🤣🤣No he was not lol go look at him on BB tearing dwn Tracy Bingham ...horrible man
Well Tracey Bingham is quite pretentious herself
I loved Pete Burns from the moment he appeared in the 80s with Dead or Alive and forever after. "You Spin Me Round" remains one of my all time records and just hearing it spins me round to that entire teenage period of my life. I too adored him in BB6 and I still think that was the best ever year. I used to watch him, George Galloway and Michael Barrymore late into the night chatting to each other and cried with laughter! This was just before it was filtered and boy! were they indiscreet. The Jodie Marsh saga was hilarious and for me, one of the great television moments. I recall when Jimmy Savile came into the house and he called him "an old, revolting cadaver" and wondered why he was so dead set against him. Well, the rest is history. I know George Galloway had to bail him out of jail a few times and remained his friend. What a uniquely individual person he was. The cosmetic surgery was hard to understand, but he seemed to offer no reason for it and I remember him saying to George Galloway he felt all man despite his appearance and wondering why this was. Certainly his death robbed British society of a true eccentric. He lit the world up when he was about and I miss him still. Thanks for doing this tribute and I love your channel, your choices so far and I look forward to many, many more.
Hi Sascha certainly knew a great deal about everybody. It's a great reply you've put and enjoyed reading it. And thank you for subscribing. I'll see you again soon I hope. Take care, Alan
Very nice tribute. 👌
i love love love pete for his wicked tongue
Well he was definitely right about Savile! I could never understand why he had all that surgery, he was gorgeous as he was 😢 RIP Pete.
Well he got that spot on Old revolting cadaver is right.
Saw Pete in Glasgow on the Renfrew ferry back in the day 💗 RIP . What a legend. Gone but never ever forgotten 💓💓
Not all glaswegians are accepting of gender bender pete Burns hat of to you.
This guy was unique and did it his way for better or worse. I always admired him. Thanks for this!
Yes She B it wasn't a gimmick You could see us doing that from school. It was his way of life
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Pete would definitely hate the trans movement because it's gone way to far and it was always going to destroy real homosexuality while undermining us with making heterosexuality worse while mixing it up.
@@derekb4977 Oh, shut up. Take your tragic political posturing elsewhere.

What a lovely tribute to him! I was a fan since the 80s and was very sad about what happened to him.
Pete Burns was such a good-looking person, and he had a belting voice.
He’s plastic so how can you say such things really
you jest, of course.

He was handsome before he started the surgery but his choice must have made him feel good 😊 he was who he wanted to be just sad it ended his life ❤😊😭
We lost an unbelievable amount of legends in 2016 and Pete was certainly one of them. Great voice and hilarious wit. (Although I would never have wanted to get on his bad side lol)
Believe he was hell in that record shop in Liverpool and people were terrified of him and getting on his wrong side!! Oh, where have all the characters gone?
Pete Burns was a gorgeous looking man before he started all the surgery. Such a shame
Pete was an absolute legend!! He had a sledgehammer wit and a great voice! Loved his music when I was a teenager in the 80's. Great video. 😊😊
Absolutely loved him. Rest in perfect peace dear Pete xxx
He was very straight laced , just said what he felt , he didn't like Jimmy saville , if u watch BB when he was in it , Jimmy saville was the suprise guest , just look at Pete's face when he sees Jimmy , I think he knew something back then 🤔.
Pete was amazing 💙💙
Well noticed Lizz. I'll try and see that again. I remember him going in, but I agree it probably knew rather than an inkling. Thanks for the comment. Alan
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Ur more than welcome , so sad to hear Pete was raped I never knew that , God love him , that probably the reason he's did what he did to himself , such a waste of a handsome man , thank u again hope u & family take care .
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep I was watching the night feed and I heard him refer to Savile as a "cadaver". I recall Barrymore and Galloway agreeing and watching what they said about him, but clearly greatly disliking him. I was puzzled and intrigued by this and it set me wondering. When the truth emerged I immediately thought of his disgust and the fact that he said it. Burns was always frank!
Pete Burns was a good looking guy, talented and a huge personality. I could never understand why he had the plastic surgery.
Well said jan pete was a very handsome guy
There was no need for all the plastic surgery
Such a shame
R i p pete burns 🙏
Body dismorphia I think. He needed help with his mental health not plastic surgery.
I was a big fan of Dead or Alive back in the 80's. And loved Pete Burns look and sound. I had not seen how he'd changed over the years, so this was quite shocking. What a shame that he did so much to change his looks. He was a beautiful man before all that. Thank you for sharing this and taking us to see his final resting place.
Hello Emma, it's always interesting when people actually meet the person in question. Thank you for the great reply. Alan
I've only just found your channel, Alan. I love your heartfelt yet down to earth tributes.
hello Elizabeth, what a wonderful thing to say to me. Thank you ever so much. I appreciate I watch out for you in the future regards Alan
Ahh thank you for this x I always thought his funeral was really not covered by the media as most celebrity funerals are, I did hear Boy George paid for his funeral (wonderful gesture), but apart from that I didn't hear much more. RIP Pete Burns
Pete and I passed each other in Notting Hill once. He was walking with a friend, as was I. I spotted him from a mile off. He looked great in a kimono. I've loved them since the very early DoA days but as we passed I just gave a smile. He's missed.
Pete had a beautiful soul I liked him God Bless you Pete R.I.P.
I used to hang around with his entourage in the 80s , during his nappy period.
I also used to skive off catering college with the drummer Steve Coy, he used to just walk along drumming on everything that would make a sound...
Got a few stories about that crew.
Please share them 🙏 at least the most memorable one
What a lovely video tribute to Pete...WOW...good on you for sharing this. Many decades ago, I worked in a nightclub in Melbourne Australia. DeadOrAlive performed one night and I managed to have the most amazing chat with Pete, prior to him going on stage. We spoke for quite some time, on so many topics and life in general. It was like we were long lost friends. I was blown away by how down to earth he was. I will never forget that night. Loved them from day one and still play his albums today. Once again thank you and health & happiness to you always 💕🤗🙏
I used to see Pete and his wife in Probe Liverpool, he was so good looking ❤
I liked Pete for who he was, he never made excuses but had a great sense of humour, also spoke his mind which I liked. I will never forget his appearance in the House in 2006, he was actually the main reason I watched it. Sad that in the end his body was what destroyed him, and somewhat ironic when you think about it. Sad, he was such a character, God bless you Pete, and thank you Allan again.
hello Annette, it was a shame it's all been done and gone now but maybe this story might put the people having too much cosmetic surgery. At the end of the day. It's their choice, but it certainly I think undermined his health. Thank you for the lovely comment Alan
Pete was a fun guy great outfits
I have to admit he better looking than Katie price

It's so interesting to see these famous people's resting places thanks for sharing Alan x
Hi Catherine :-)
I’m really glad I stumbled across your channel 😊
I find it sad that people only remember him from the BB house, his cosmetic surgery and one big pop hit record, people think he was just another Stock Aitkin and Waterman product, he really wasn't.
Dead or Alive were very much a goth band (early formation featured Wayne Hussey who went on to The sisters of Mercy and The Mission), their music was dark and not commercial that came later after Pete wanted to be pop star, he then slated all of his previous work as rubbish, it really wasn't.
The story about Boy George stealing his image of plaits and top hat is true, there is a video called 'Misty Circles' from a TV show (Razamataz) he dressed like that in the clubs before Boy George knew who he was, he used the plaits and a top hat but But George copied everyone back then including Leigh Bowery. It's ironic that George paid for Pete's funeral, it's almost like getting one over on Pete but I like to think that the two had made up after the bitter feud they had.
you're obviously a great admirer and knowledgeable person on him about your superior knowledge. Thank you for the post. Regards, Alan
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Thanks Alan, loved the video you made. I have visited a few graves of the stars, Jim Morrison in Paris, if you could maybe one day you could get over to Dublin and visit the grave of Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy. It's a great cemetery (St Finian's in Sutton) and the gravestone has been replaced with a new one when his mother passed away. It's a lovely journey from Dublin to Sutton then on to Howth Peninsula, well worth a visit for a couple of days.
Best Wishes.
