@@CinderSnake I'm afraid I don't recall much, just seeing the names again brought me back to being a kid and constantly making new characters because I was too young to figure out how to do anything in the game, lol. I remember that one Gnoll dungeon outside Qeynos, and the laughing skeletons of course.
I grew up having played the first game in this series (Champions of Norrath) countless times. You could hot-swap in other players with another controller, so I would create alt characters that were max str barbarians to act as item banks. It took until I was in my early 20s to play Champions Return as every time I found it, it was priced extremely high.
Yeah these games are heavily sought after by collectors of both Everquest and PS2, driving the price higher than before. I think its the same with the 2 Dark Alliance games. They are classics though. Me and my Best Friend would play Gauntlet and games like this all day every day.
You just unlocked some incredible childhood memories when I saw the video on my recommended page, both for Champions of Norrath and Return to Arms Also very good video
For the tormentors, you can just do a back shuffle out of block and they take a while to recover, giving you a opening. I love this games difficulty. I have even skipped a difficulty and done a playthrough where i was 25 levels below the recommended.
I had fun playing co-op with my brother when this came out. Even though the game would hard crash occasionally with up to 3 hours between save points... it was more fun than we had playing EverQuest which is actually saying something
@@CinderSnake as someone who regulary plays Everquest i cant tell you to not play unless you have groups 24/7. I mean 3 people with 3 mercenaries or 6 players otherwise you wont be able to do much content at all. Its all about grouping on Everquest. Now on WoW you can solo....
Thanks, I'm playing the first one for the first time. Not nostalgic for me just enjoying old games and seeing what my Samsung can handle. Samsung S22+ running pxsx2 with a gamesir Galileo handles it well.
This Game and its sequel are both childhood classics that wish we got a port and or a remaster of it! 10/10 games a like and a sub from me for covering both of em!
So badly want this game remastered
Will never happen, unfortunately. Since it's tied to the Everquest brand and Daybreak are a bunch of c***s.
😢😢😢😢😢😢noooooooo whyyyyyyyy😢😢😢😢😢
Holy shit you just unearthed an ancient memory.. I used to play this game with my dad when I was a kid
Champion of narrath was a damn good game and if i recall call to arm was like the second one in the series
Man, all these EQ1 god names are really bringing me back. Hadn't thought of Mithaniel Marr or Cazic Thule in a looooong time.
okay Mithaniel is the good guy right? and Cazic the bad guy? anything cool about them lore wise?

I had this game on PS2. I loved it. Great game!
Dude sounds like a bored Viking and I'm all for it, roflmao.
Thank you, I'm not bored though, just very tired.
@@CinderSnake I feel that, brother. Keep up the awesome work.
@@lazydave9761 Thanks man, I will!

Thanks! Do you remember the games being difficult?
@@CinderSnake Probably not, has probably been 12-15 years now since I last played them but I was also around 8 at that time and finished them both

There is two Everquest PS2 games Champions Return To Arms is just one of them.I think the other was called Champions of Norrath.
Yes
Trick vs tormenter is not to run away, it only sprints at you if you run away from it.

It would hard crash on the ps2?
Never played everquest, would you say World of warcraft classic offers a better experience?

Haven't covered champions of norrath yet, might do so in the future.
Natasha is nicer than Firiona Vie to the Player- we went with Natasha.
I rented def jam and I should have kept it😂
Thank you for adding the Burqa to the harlot. Very inclusive.
Just doing my part to save women from video games.
On the evil side you do not have to push the block on the plane of water
and with that Natasla best girl confirmed
