I have a tuned F80, they are not fast off the line but roll races they are beastly. It pulls like a freight train. Most people are shocked how fast they are.

Yes the HC is more powerful stock for stock and yes, the M4 is modded (lightly) but you have to consider that the HC has 2 cylinders more and a blower so it has 3 advantages. Things have been evened out here (somewhat) but all of the HC's stock advantages have been evened out here by the F82 when he added DPs, slicks and E85. The HC got smoked 🚬 and it wasn't even close. And for the person who said that he'd rather have an M2 over an M4 because it's not all about going in a straight line.....then I can tell you don't have neither an M4 nor an M2. An M4 is a monster at taking turns at high speeds, it is a track car and one not necessarily built about straight line racing. I have a tuned 2015 m4 as well. I'm guessing this m4 was running e85, because on 93 octane gasoline, with the catalytic convertor removed from downpipes. I'm about ~500whp/553wtq on the dyno. On e85 my car should be about 575whp aka about 650hp at the crank. Still impressed it beat a hellcat like this though, gives me confidence if a hellcat sneaks up on me! haha and the popup info @0:38 is wrong, this generation model m4 has a 7 speed dual clutch, not 8 speed. Great video!
I’ve got a 18’ rs3 FBO on e85. We make about the same power on that juice. You’ll definitely pull away from a lightly modded hellcat, I do it. They are great cars but physics is physics. Hellcats carry serious weight and they need huge power upgrades to balance that handicap.

I was surprised how the M4 walked away in the rolling race! Also, interesting the Hellcat got off the line a little quicker even tho it is hard to hook up. But as an M4 driver, I can tell that once in 2nd gear, the M4 takes OFF! Great video for us BMW fanboys but I do love that Challenger too

That's a tuned m4 but the difference m4 actually has about the same horsepower. I believe they said the. The m4 has 640rwhp and the hellcat has 670rwhp. So with a 700lb weight difference, the result is obvious.
It's not your fault. People forget to factor in that manufacturers use crank hp and any tuned car with known hp number has been on a chassis dyno. You gotta account for drive train loss.

Same.. I honestly looked into buying an M3/M4 but the exhaust sound of the BMW is just not for me. The old V8/V10 cars sounded good but the new turbo 6 thing just isn’t for me and it gets even worse with aftermarket systems.

It doesn't cost 15k to tune the F8x platform. It barely costs maybe 8k for his 650 hp. I'm pushing 530whp and I've spent only 2k. 600 for a bm3 stage 2 tune. Intake downpipes was about 1k.
I think we shouldn't compare them....It's not just a price difference. It is a different style, comfort, ride, handling. I just can't see a german brand buyer cross-shopping for a muscle car

The M4 isn't making 650 at the wheels unless he has hybrids. The stock Turbskis max out at 600hp with all the mods (DPs, Meth, PI, DCIs, Aftermarket Exhaust). If he had Pure Stg 2 Hybrids then he'd be running 700ish to 730 hp or slighly above at the crank and 650-670 or so at the wheels. You guys need to stop with the 🧢 trying to make it sound as though the M4 has nearly the same amount of power as the HC, it's not even close to it. Another thing: for the Casuals that don't realize the following: the M4 and the M3 are the same minus 2 doors on the M3; also the F80/F82 platform here on this car is NOT AWD.....the new G80/G82s can be equipped with AWD. Last thing, the F80/F82 prior to the Inflation taking place on ALL cars could've been bought for as little as $45K

That's a tuned m4 but the difference m4 actually has about the same horsepower. I believe they said the. The m4 has 640rwhp and the hellcat has 670rwhp. So with a 700lb weight difference, the result is obvious.

It's not your fault. People forget to factor in that manufacturers use crank hp and any tuned car with known hp number has been on a chassis dyno. You gotta account for drive train loss.

It doesn't cost 15k to tune the F8x platform. It barely costs maybe 8k for his 650 hp. I'm pushing 530whp and I've spent only 2k. 600 for a bm3 stage 2 tune. Intake downpipes was about 1k.

The problem is their engines lack power on the top end and weight. Their hp (I believe) are overestimated. But If you haven't been behind a hellcat or even a scat, get behind the wheel. The M4 isn't making 650 at the wheels unless he has hybrids.
The stock Turbskis max out at 600hp with all the mods (DPs, Meth, PI, DCIs, Aftermarket Exhaust).
If he had Pure Stg 2 Hybrids then he'd be running 700ish to 730 hp or slighly above at the crank and 650-670 or so at the wheels.
You guys need to stop with the 🧢 trying to make it sound as though the M4 has nearly the same amount of power as the HC, it's not even close to it.
Another thing: for the Casuals that don't realize the following: the M4 and the M3 are the same minus 2 doors on the M3; also the F80/F82 platform here on this car is NOT AWD.....the new G80/G82s can be equipped with AWD.
Last thing, the F80/F82 prior to the Inflation taking place on ALL cars could've been bought for as little as $45K
