Love all the little details that this shows besides your great drumming. Just a small glimpse of the inside view looking out. I put my headphones on to listen. Man, it was like being there live. Awesome sound!
@George Kamil No reason to be rude to anyone on here. Listening through headphones gives some people, a more personal experience. I hope that answers your question.
@@FabioOrlando I did not see your comment when it posted. Your right. And listing to Jonathan and seeing this was and is a good way to celebrate Michael. And now we have it to watch anytime we want and celebrate his talent and those who worked with him any time we want to.:-)
@George Kamiland why do you feel the need to be rude to him and me? The comment was not directed to you in the first place. Yes, it has nothing to do with my statement or the video, Yet that does not give you the right to be rude by calling anyone an idiot or to be insulting. Clearly, you seem to be intelligent enough to get your point across without having to add an insult to get attention. Enough said. This should be a place to celebrate the music of Michael Jackson and the talent of the people who supported his vision by working with him. And Michael having faith in their talents in order to bring his message to life and share it with his fans in person. I for one celebrate the fact we have this platform to see his performance from a view that only those in the industry get to see and the graciousness of Sugarfoot to share it with us. That is what we should be talking about.
at 4:30 you can see Michael come close to Sugarfoot to grab a drink. To get a view of Michael like this is just unprecedented and it must have been amazing to be so close to him when he does his magic. Thank you for this content Mr Moffett
Close my eyes, travel back in time & there I am again front row watching HIStory happen in front of my eyes... SO GRATEFUL , thank you for being an amazing part of forever!!!
There are drummers who are tight. There are metronomes. And then there's a lot of nothing. Then comes Sugarfoot, the chosen one. Playing with MJ alone is insane but that man also played with Madonna. What an absolute unit.
Absolutely the best! Those drumstick twirling and poses you do when the music breaks are absolutely wonderful and amazing. I see why Michael loved to have you as his drummer. Happy birthday today to the greatest to ever touch the stage Michael Jackson. And thank you Jonathan for keeping his music in his legacy alive and always being a real friend to Michael.
The professionalism is insane. Michael trusts this musicians 100%--the never mess up.It's like watching a drum machine. Perfecting. Only one word Wow From Bangladesh salute to boss 🇧🇩🤘👌🇧🇩😍
Remember seeing this concert on VHS as my sister recorded it from the TV live in 1996, I would've never imagined to have the pleasure 20 years later to seeing this recordings, simply amazing! Brings back so much memories 😪 much love! ✌️
I was blessed enough to see Michael preform live, twice! The first time was the Dangerous Tour in 1992 Stockholm, Sweden. The second time was the HIStory Tour in 1997 Göteborg, Sweden. I believe one of the strongest elements that can be heard is the drums. And Michael dances and moves to that specific frequency. And much of Michael´s performance is thanks to Jonathan´s magic. Thank you Jonathan, you are truly an amazing drummer. Wherever you are, i send you love, peace and blessings.
Sir, you have changed the way I listen to Michael Jackson's songs for the rest of my life. It's no longer a MJ song anymore but now it's Michael Jackson & Sugarfoot Songs. I'm tearing up right now... I hope If ever get to heaven to meet you and MJ with our heavenly father. much blessings!
Oh my god finally a 'drummer glory moment' you're fire Jonathan ! And, Michael, the fact that we can see a little of michael moving on the drum's camera sometimes, makes it even more realistic, like someone as incredibly amazing as Michael Jackson really lived, people could touch him, he touched people. Omg omg
Mr. MOFFETT ... you're a MONSTER, Sir ! Calm... slick... fluent... serious or smiling... but yet a MONSTER ! What a performance, Man !!! I can't describe how much I adore your playing !
Jonathan, I think you're the greatest drummer that ever lived. Your precision, concentration, passion and expertise when playing the drums is OUT OF THIS WORLD. So glad I found your channel.
Thank you for sharing with us your beautiful memories with Michael. This is awsome. After 12 years from then you were on stage with him once again,it is truly, truly wonderful. All the best for you.
The voice is mostly studio recording though. you can easily check this by shazaming: your phone will say 'Beat it' when its the recording and 'no result found'when it's a life part. MJ always did some singing and some lip syncing on his tours , especially the major dance numbers, it was not possible to both sing and dance for 2 hours with that intensity. but he would sing the slower ballad when possible. .
in thinking that as a drummer myself i could only imagine the sort of dance he could come up with, if Michael could see the passion and emotion the drummer has put into the beat ohh!! i could only dream of what that man could think of. Thank you Jonathan for providing all the beats the king needed to move the way he did. Like and Angel, Weightlessly!!! God rest your soul Michael Jackson the one and ONLY KING of our Hearts.
Wow! I am absolutely astonished by the level of precision and technique that this man has. Jonathan, coming from a drummer myself, you are up there with the greats. May God bless you.
The Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones collaboration was truly a match of two great musical geniuses. The way these songs were put together and execution for mass appeal was second to none.
You're the greatest ✌😉😄you respect the first partition, the same way you played, recorded before. It's simply incredible. RESPECT MASTER, GOD bless you, Thanks!!!

Imagine...Michael Jackson dancing to the beat of YOUR drums. Unbelievable.
He did, he was his drummer :P

the who? i honestly don’t know why you’re watching this if you think he’s a pedo.
i couldnt imagine the check after the show !
Being a musician for Jackson is a huge responsibility.
Certainly_
One mistake = last mistake
No no no, Michael was his singer haha
And get no credit... they play in the dark and the audience can barely notice they are there. Pretty lame in my opinion.
Gary Harper agree no band = no music.
He does that epic, over the shoulder, blind, double cymbal choke at 1:32 - which is one of the coolest drum ever
1:30
Every beat in the Jackson show was perfectly timed
This is what drumming is and other drummers should watch... The authenticity in the beats he produces are efficient and timed perfectly
Very well said
Yeah no need to be technical like all the new drummers...beat it (the rythm) ;)
Carlos Rivera he doesn’t keep pace he MAKES the pace 🥰🙌
Ninja cymbal choke at 0:55.
Ha.ha..👍
I didn’t realize it was a choke when I first heard it, I thought it was a hihat
Amazing! I had to watch it a couple of times to see it! Best ever.
good eye, I thought it was a hihat also!
Signature move 😁
that cymbal choke at 0:55 is PRICELESS... what a legend

Jennifer Batten on guitar!! She's very underrated!
She is underrated because she can shred guitar but he plays in a pop genre....... She can be famous if she is in a metal band
She is so underrated that she played with the most famous singer of planet earth...
