I think that taking it more easy through T4 to open up T5 is important, and the throttling is counterproductive under breaking in this case. You could go quicker with less drama.
Absolutely you do you buddy. I only post my laps and what works for me, looking at the fastest race laps so far, I’m on pace but everyone will have their own preferred lines and inputs.
When downshifting, I see that you use the clutch. but this car already slows down just by going down the gears and stepping on the accelerator (blip), without the clutch. Do you use the clutch when downshifting to save time? I downshift just by stepping on the accelerator (blip), I'd like to know if I'm wasting any time doing this without the clutch, thanks.
For me, I find that downshifting early and engine braking just adds an extra layer of complexity into the corner. By downshifting late, you're not running the risk of locking a rear wheel and can focus on braking and sterring into an apex then drop to the correct gear as you are ready to get back on the accelerator. The Vee and FF1600 are very similar in that regard (where the car is so small and balance is very important) when compared with F3 or SFl or Sports Cars.
Thanks again Sam! Optimal is in the 15s now, hoping to get there consistently.
Well done mate! That’s fast.
Turn 4 and 5 are going to ruin a lot of races for people lol
Right now my fastest lap in a race is a 1.16.6 on an Xbox controller, I’ll definitely use this video to see where I can gain a few tenths.

@@Sambo_iRacing i just mentioned it because I did the same as you and I adjusted after a lesson. and it was faster and more consistent :)
Name looked familiar.. Thanks for sharing on Garage 61! If I get close to Sam I often add in your lap.

clutch increases efficiency generally yes
@@OneSubstanceTTV Thanks for the answer.
Just so I can understand the car. Why do you change gears so late in braking? Do I waste time changing gears while braking?

brake bias 58%?
I think I mention it in my video buddy but apologies if I didn't, it 53% here for me.
