Unbelievable driving there! No way you should have got 4x for that crash near the end at turn 1. Frustrating when that happens.

Wow, carnage but exciting to watch. I think there's a connection between short races and aggressive driving, with everyone seemingly desperate to snatch any half opportunities

100% agree with this, the standards in the GT4 / LMP3 multiclass event are loads better. I'm convinced it's because the races are double the length!

Holy shadoobie Ben, there were some poor driving standards in that race! Racing is not guesstimating if you’re going to make the pass, or vainly hope that they just teleport out of your way. You did amazingly well considering how insane that race was. Guessing the 4x near the middle was typical netcode error as it looked like you’d made it past cleanly.

Sometimes you just want to sit each driver down in an interview room and ask them "what the actual f was going through your head?" 😂

Literally one of my favourite series on the service but it comes with some shocking standards sometimes. I haven't seen this kind of mayhem in a long time. This track is terrible for it too, just like you said in the video - far too many people trying to stick their nose down gaps that are always going to close, especially climbing that hill and through the esses. Can't count the number of times I've been turned or had to flick out of the way because someone can't wait for turns 6 or 10!
That safety rating got a huge slap. I had something similar, though managed to avoid most and come across the line with 2x only to be greeted with cars that decided to park the moment they crossed the finish line. I do enjoy the GT4 racing though!

It's getting impossible. The only option is to start from the pits and NOT fight for positions. 14 incident points in a 15 minutes race is outrageous.
I've gone back to GT4's from GT3's last season and they are more fun. Road Atlanta is tight and fast which makes it a challenge.
Yeah I really enjoyed the driving experience. And despite the carnage it was good fun! 😅
@Ben_LaBroca working on a fe2 things with trying to rid myself of bad habits so dropping to the slower cars seems to force me to be better.

Dear oh dear oh dear… and I thought I had a rough time of it with this combo! It’s like iRacing took all the reckless drivers from my race, and gave them crack. This was on whole other level of ridiculousness. So P30 to P9? I know you mate 2-3 great overtakes there, but was it like 17-18 freebies? Utter madness 🤣

Crazy race… standard of driving very questionable from the other drivers. You did well to climb back up after being taken out T1.
One thing that I've noticed after having an A license and car open wheel and Even oval now. Whenever you go back to c or lower grade races it become so bad because other guys may be faster than you, but they always think they can just drive through you just because they're going faster. They have no patience to Wait for a gap. I'm usually about 1 to 2 seconds off the pace, but I drive safe and will allow a faster driver to get in front of me when I get a chance but they always just try to drive through you
ive noticed throughout, gt4s have kinda of been very chaotic, most of my races in gt4s end in a either a 7x or a 8x which isnt very optimal
I don't really drive Gt4 but I sometimes drive the Falken tire challenge in lmp3 and it seems fairly clean. Perhaps you should do that series?

Looks similar to my races the past two weeks.
Seems like alot of decent hot lappers have joined the system of late but lack actual racing skills, etiquette and situational awareness.
Hey buddy - yeah the spatial awareness and racecraft was not good! A shame as the combo is great fun!

@@erikj8892 hey Erik! So it’s mainly to cut to the action as soon as possible - YT analytics suggest keeping people watching at the early part of the vid is important for viewership and how widely the video ends up being shared.

To be honest didn't race in iracing since 2 week ( already 4 Years more than 1000 races ) and found people became more and more aggressive
No fair-play no sportsmanship
Some allow them self to do ridiculous divebomb as they never do it in private league or discord league with live stewarding
Aye some of these drivers wouldn’t be invited back to a league I think!!
I never understood why GT4 fixed races have a 30 car limit rather than 20 like GT3 fixed. 20 cars would help with the carnage I think.

To be honest which popular series is not a carnage then? People say about Ferrari GT3 that it's the worst, about F4 and about Super Formula Lights. Doesn't leave much then. Which series do you usually race which is less chaotic? (I only drive GT4 at the moment).
Hey buddy - so I think you’re right that almost all series have the potential to throw up races like this. In my experience (and that’s obv limited) GT3 is generally a bit better but much depends on the split you land in. Longer races can mean everyone is in less of a rush, and the field spreads out a bit meaning less chances for carnage. And of course car and track combos can make an otherwise relatively calm serious into a destruction derby!
@@Ben_LaBroca Nice to hear that GT3 is generally a bit better. Yeah top split also matters because I did some driving as a ghost last week in GT4 Road Atlanta to learn new driving lines and it seemed less chaotic there for sure. Hungary in the rain is going well so far as well!

Jesus, that was bad even for the GT4s. I parked up a GT4 race a few weeks back because the driving was so aggressive.
I hope this isn't a serious comment, but I fear it is.
@@tommo3190 It was an especially bad race. I don't get enough time on track to waste on people who think passing is all about luck.
