I’ve followed your channel for about the last year and I’ve really enjoyed your content. I live in Toronto (born and raised) and am of Italian descent. You are right. Toronto does have the largest population of Italians (people of Italian descent) outside of Italy. It’s a nice city, lots of diversity, clean, safe, with a high standard of living, but it’s not Italy. It doesn’t have the culture and beauty of Italy, but no country does. Italy is a truly special place - the people, food, climate, art, history, landscapes, lifestyle. You can’t beat it. I’ve visited many times and long to go back. I’d also love to live there one day. Anyway, I can show you all the best Italian joints if you do end up Toronto. All the best to you guys. 🇮🇹 🇨🇦

I’m a native Torontonian and many of the posted comments regarding the city are accurate: sure lots of Italian-Canadians here (I’m of Italian and French descent), particularly in the northern suburb known as Woodbridge but only in appearance and presentation given few actually speak Italian, especially second and third generation - you really have to search for “authentic” Italians. House prices and rent here are absolutely insane and we really are just a junior facsimile of the US with a parliament instead of a White House and maybe fewer anti-vaxers. You would be better off returning to New York or even LA. Having said that, you were an inspiration for me to seek Italian citizenship via Jure Sanguinis which is currently underway and I’m considering my options regarding relocating to Italy.

If this covid nightmare will finish Milano could be a good choice because you could easily visit Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, you can go to London and get back daily if you want.
You could have all the Europe at your disposal to choose to visit by car or by plane more easily than Puglia and obviously you are always in Italy and you can continue also the Italian exploration.
A kaleidoscope of opportunity and flavours.
Canada it's near to USA... period.

Wishing you all the best with your move! And if it’s Milan, although most of us do speak English, you’ll find that not to be the case in supermarkets, markets and so on (btw you can easily form the same bonds with market sellers here!). You can definitely keep speaking Italian, especially if you don’t live in the city centre - at the same time we even have American supermarkets so you can always feel at home, whatever home may be on that particular day. Good luck!

The room definitely doesn't look European. You've moved to Canada.

Things I miss. 1. The lifestyle. 2 the food, history but mostly the people.

Non saprei cosa scegliere, Milano è molto europea oramai, forse come metropoli italiana avrei inserito Torino.
Ti auguro il meglio da questa tua nuova avventura: _Comunque vada sarà un successo!_

Can you move your pup with you to London or Toronto? Also, I loved the brief time I spent In Toronto, but the traffic was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Like even worse than Chicago!

Very smart remark... That could be decisive... But I checked and you only need a pet passport and it should be feasable...
...God, do I have too muche spare time? 🤣😃🤣😃

If I were … me (!) I’d go to Toronto, even if I’ve never been there!
Milan is a beautiful city, but I’ve always been there as a tourist, so you get to see only the pros of it.
Well, now we’re curious: where are you going to move to?
    Ciao!

If you want to do another step of your career as chef you gotta move to Milan. Cause we're still in Italy , there are the best high level restaurants, it's a cosmopolitan city so you can meet many people of foreign countries expecially american people, it's the capital of fashion , style and creation and could give you many opportunities. You will not miss America and you could continue to breath italian air. If you want to complete your experience as a chef i really suggest to move to Milan. All the best chef have to make great experience outside the hometown before move to Milan and open own restaurant or activities.

Rome is full of "gelaterie" and Giolitti is a big one which is quite good but not the best anymore (used to be decades ago)....so , at the end, which one was your final choice?
