The land and history that influenced countless countries and cultures.
My beloved Italy!! I have been to Roma many times, but I cannot have enough of it! That's why I have chosen Florence as my living destination because it's just like a Rome in miniature! Loving it!!
Minus the roman ruins!
It's called Rome in English
This one made me cry…. Mi manca molto la mia amata Italia… I’m so looking forward to the next one in my beloved 2nd homeland of Puglia!
💚🇮🇹❤️ Grazie mille 💛
We love Tivoli! A great town to walk, explore, see ancient and natural beauty.
Those places are unbelievable, I have been there 2 years ago and I was mesmerized.
Ma quanto bello è il mio paese. Ciao Katie! Grazie
katie im originally from south america and im pretty sure 2 or 3 generation ago were italians because i visited italy many times and i always feel im home. italy and japan are my favourite countries in the world because my job is to do business all over the world and been to most of them , now with this virus i must work from home and your videos and others from italy makes a grown man cry on how beautiful that country is and hope to go back there. to show rome for one trip is like showing a glimse of what the world is all about , impossible and im a historic and art freak also .
It is a special place, isn’t it?! (And I love Japan, too! Italy and Japan have to be two of my favorites, too!)
Thank you for your kind words John!
👍
Geez, that awesome waterfall view!
Never heard about that place! Good job.
I feel so excited - I have just found your channel & this is the first video of yours that I have watched. What a great video! Such fun was had by all! Tivoli is on my bucket list for next time I visit. Italy has been my obsession for years & I dream of going back every single day. It's Heaven on Earth to me 🤩🤩
What a dreamy trip 😍
Great video. I've never been to Tivoli so I'll keep it in mind, and thanks for the tips on the Villas and the Landmark Trust.
Adoriamo i tuoi video, così belli, di ottima qualità
I realize entire books have been written about Villa Adriana, but it is worthwhile to learn more about Emperor Hadrian (thus Hadrian's Villa). It took a decade to build, in a period when the Roman Empire was at its peak, extending from what is now Britain into Northern Africa, Egypt, and Turkey. Google Hadrian. (For bonus points, identify Antinoüs).
Animula vagula blandula...
Great chatacter...
Also read Marguerite Yourcenar's "Hadrian's Memoirs", one of the best books ever!
Yes, I wasn’t sure how much background to include! It’s a fascinating history but I wasn’t sure this video was the place to deep dive into that ;) I hope others are intrigued and look into it on their own!
I love this beautiful treasure! Thanks for sharing!
Villa Adriana, la villa dell’imperatore Adriano poco fuori Roma a Tivoli. Un parco archeologico fantastico. E poi le fontane di villa d’Este. Fantastico. Poco conosciuto. La grandezza di Roma fuori Roma.
Tivoli I lov it
Connor you are a hero. I would have pulled that van over, got out and just burst into tears.
Hahaha ME TOO!
Amazing. Davvero stupendo. Che fortuna
Best Wishes Katie wherever you are! 🛵🛵🛵
First of all, curiosity about your removal is itching way more than I would like to admit. Please end it quick! ;D
Nice video, Lazio is the most secret of Italian regions because there's so much to see in Rome... But there are incredible hidden gems, so thank you for putting a spotlight on this!
PS
Monica Vitti just passed, she was immensely beloved and she was quirky!
You might like her as a dramatic and comedy actress a very intelligent humble and independent woman. Also classic Italian comedy even if always sexist and sometimes cringey are a great window to italian society...
👍
Ah thank you, I’ll check out Monica Vitti’s work!
What a great and professional video. Oh well, as usually of course. Thanks for letting me know about Tivoli, wow. Baci da Parma
Prego, con piacere :)
Hi Katie...amazing video...I was born and live in Tivoli...congrats to you
Ahhhh lucky you!!! Che fortuna !
@@TheQKatie yeah😉😌i’m very lucky
The rumor is Katie is moving to Vladivostok, Russia.
:)
Keep it quirkyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
Hey Katie, cool travel video, Tivoli definitely looks like a hidden paradise off season. Since you love to travel, which do you like more for a vacation: Beach, Mountain or depends on which season it is?
Depends on many factors!!
You were in Tivoli, South of Rome, then you should go North and visit Viterbo another beautifull city just outside Rome.
Nice video as always, big smilings and happy face. Amazing you could make your friends enjoy some hidden gems in Italy. Well looks like you guys will be one "sleeve" away (geographical hint).
Bentornati in Italia Katie Connor e Kiro 😍 ci siete mancati 👍
P.s.: Are you watching Sanremo Music Festival on Rai1 ?
Ah dobbiamo farlo!
You will miss this!!!
FYI : Villa Adriana is emperor Hadrian villa, you can read about it in many history books .
That would have been a fun trip to go on!! All the memories!!
dear Katie... but you had been in Hadrian emperor house ....sorry but it seemed you didn't know... at the time of Hadrian was the best of the best house in all western world.... Hadrian's rest and to meet Antinoo ( a wonderfull beauty boy his lover and deified by him after his untimely death.. ) had at his disposal personal theater...thermae...acquarium....square and bibloteque etc etc... all described in " Memorie di Adriano" di Marguerite Yourcenar one of best boooks I read !! ciao e scusa il mio inglese 😁
I loved that book!
👍👍👍
Yes, I know! Thanks for this - I hope others read it so they know, too :)
Just a tip for parking, you must go in whit the back, is much easyer ;)
Great video 😀. I hope it doesn't get demonetized!
Hahaha, thanks :) :)
@@TheQKatie You're welcome :)
Finalmente a Roma… quasi 😂
Katie if you are leaving Italy pls visit Naples before going away!
Sono andata lì! C’è la mia pizzeria preferita - Da Michele!!
Cool channel👍
Mamma mia un furgoncino!
There is so much more in Tivoli than what you showed. What about the 2000 year old temple of Vesta and the gorgeous garden hike with the reuins of an ancient Roman villa and just walking the charming streets of the old town? Too much blah blah. We didn't need the car ride, the parking job, the corn nuts, the cooking the poses etc.
I try to avoid tight parking spaces and streets in my van.
Ha, that’s a good call! We found it nearly impossible to find a more open spot in Rome!
@@TheQKatie last year I had to take my disabled daughter into London, to avoid COVID on the train I drove, it was easy enough to park in the evening, but quite difficult getting out the next day. Anyway my daughter's visit to the Italian consulate was successful and she is also now Italian.
Tell us the truth guys… you are mesmerized by our beautiful incredible country… do you?
Where are you relocating?
Torontooo
@@peggyclio1199 that’s a really big city no?
@@peggyclio1199 could it be Otranto?
Hi katie , I have got onlya question ,what an american think when they see or tour Alberobello.Great video.
no ghosts dragging chains around overnight?
Check out FONDI!!!
I was born in Rome but I live in the Marche region. do you know her? 🙂
Why hidden ?
Many Americans have never heard of Tivoli!
I live in rome if you come around i'm glad offer to you and your husband a coffee
Che gentile :) Grazie!
@@TheQKatie piacere mio
La PUGLIA e come se fosse per voi americani la FLORIDA e la regione piu lunga d'italia.
Penso che Puglia sia un po’ diverso che Florida! ;) Ma sì, vedo le somiglianze :)
