I miss your streams man, nice play and explain as always
You played at a really high level this session, kudos!
I noticed big improvements since your last P&E’s. How have you been studying lately? Drills, HHs review?
Always improving mate ;)
I liked how you played the AK. I was like 10% riv!!! And you actually did it!
If it’s leki approved it must be printing 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Great content!!I have a question on the hand in minute 34 where you called the squeeze with aks hh and i hope It doesn t sound result oriented.I would have shoved preflop because even if we assume the you have and edge post flop against your opponents, are you really realize this edge out of position against 2 players? . I ask because if you decided to call there obviously something i m missing( im Just a 50nl reg)
I had some history with this recreational, saw him do some spewy stuff before so figured keeping him in was better than getting it in 140bb deep vs the regular.
At 100bb I think just getting it in is better and maybe then I would like to trap AA instead which I wouldn't trap right now.
But these things are hard to quantify of course, getting it in is perfectly fine as well
@@MechanicsOfPoker thank you fou the answer!
42s hand vs QQ - is 1/3 of the deck really a good reason for not x/ring the turn vs the fish?(spade/4 straight rivers) or is it that, combined with them folding to the turn x/r, that makes you prefer call then lead better?
its possible since his range is relatively faceup, we could even x/r small, and then block river. builds pot a bit more, and 2/3 of rivers we can still value bet
Yeah when i looked back at this hand i think just raising turn is better. The more accurate you range him, the more we can raise, the less accurate, the more we should call and lead rivers. And i think recreational, pot, half pot on the K, very very likely he has what he had, so then all the "shit" rivers are not shit anymore as they don't hit him at all.
It seems like you play liberally OTR vs recs right I mean on sizing scheme perspective
Great video! Min 37:30 you said higher pairs are better to call ott facing the barrel. Whats the difference between 66 and 99 here?
Btw your opp is Yolan Cohen, how would you change your strategy in this hand vs an aggro reg?
Equity vs the barreling range, lets say he has 78cc or A7cc, 88 just does slightly better vs his air then 66. As for villain being Yolan, he is a great player from what i saw, but don't know anything about his specific tendencies for me to play that hand differently then i did in-game.
@@MechanicsOfPoker Ah yes that makes sense. I was just wondering if it's better to fold these static bluff catchers ott already if we expect more barrels both ott and otr or even call down all the way vs aggro regs.
I'm curious about the thin value bets, like betting 1 third or quarter pot on river. Even when betting thinly these aren't sizing's I've been using. My thinking is when you get raised either as a bluff or value you're often put in a tough spot and your hand becomes a bluff catcher, I think the small sizing doesn't really make it worth the risk, so i like at least half pot even when betting thinly. Like if you calculate how often you get c/r I think betting small for thin value can quickly become close to break even or even loosing in some spots, so i prefer going larger or checking. These are just my thoughts however, obviously you're very successful so perhaps it is fine.
i really like the play and explains so please keep them coming, and I'm a big fan of the podcast, they've been very useful to me.
What about that K9o hand (10:00 minute) , whats the purpose for that jam? and what hands are you targeting there? Thanks
I am not targeting anything in particular, i just think i always have the best hand as better then myn would likely just jam it self
The editing with GTO wiz is a nice touch but so many of the spots you just show a totally different size from what is actually used on flops/turn. And rivers you sometimes show strat with only 1 size (the one Whacko used) even if it's OOP stab where there should be like 5 sizes.
Right now it also seems to be used to show "look how good Whacko is" showing it whenever the solver agrees, and when we get very OOL (e.g. J8s spew xr vs. HJ on K76r 24:15) it's left out. We already know Whacko is good so instead I think it should be used with an actual educational purpose in mind
17:55 think we can throw out a litlte 10p betski still vs. the polar range and put all his ass in a tough spot, force him to think about it with K-high. JJ not really doing great as a bluffcatcher here either in XC river so rather stab that and XC with weaker board pairs instead
At what point is a favorite hand too strong? Like is TT too strong? How about KJs? Etc
Wayyy to strong mate, need to go lower
@@MechanicsOfPoker I've been a fan for a long time, and this is by far the most revolutionary information I've gotten from your channel 😜
ive never seen a 1/2 zoom video with mikefrombyto in it
betting the river even for 10% with the AKhh seems maybe too thin
I imagined the regular would have raised the turn if he would have a better hand then me (maybe his exact combo as an exception but even that one i would just raise). The recreational has a bunch of worse Ax in his range he can call with, so i think i should have even gone bigger in hindsight ;)
WAKKO DON'T DO IT!!!!
Oops, i did it again!
I'm making this comment in a vacuum.
I'v liked your comment, in a vacuum :D
