This simply isnt true. You talk to people on these Venezuelan and african caravans of all men and they even say there were people in that group they were scared of. There are people coming over who wish us harm and hate and blame us for their situation. His take is socialism. As a photographer that concentrates mostly on very vulnerable people with dementia, what Louis said about the media showing up to mass shootings, really has me reflecting on what is the purpose of media exposure and documenting reality that clearly has a great deal of suffering in it. I can say that I do totally agree with the idea that we allow people to breathe, and take time out of respect when there is a crisis situation before we jump into it looking for interviews. Always leave people better than how u found them. If u live by this it's hard to do wrong. Do u exploit the people you photograph, take their picture and run? Or do u have a special way to enrich each person you photograph? That would be the difference. War photographers and journalists who document famines get heat for "exploiting starving people" etc, but the question is, do thy also bring aid and succor behind the camera
Joe Rogan talking on a deep level about comedy with great comedians is hilarious. Cause Louis will say things about building comedy and working through the material with the crowd as if him and Joe are the same, but Joe is a straight up stool humper of a comedian.
@oscar3611 I don't understand these kind of comments. Rogan isn't on Louie's level - we all know that. But if you've watched his specials and watched that Schaub special then you know Rogan is 10 levels above Schaub. Come on.
1:52:25-1:52:35 Louis showing a quick "OH YEAH?!" that was basically saying "that's great but shut the hell up because I'm trying to tell a story right now".
there's about a 99.9% chance that he is a dickhead in real life, just based on the first-hand accounts of interactions with him. IE-him snitching to Pete Davidsons boss at the time on SNL about him "smoking too much weed" because it made him uncomfortable.
Wow, I'll be honest I never thought Louis was so thoughtful and intelligent. I mean I knew he was smart, because his comedy is genius, but I guess I just never saw him speak so naturally before. Great to hear about his deeper thoughts about the world, gives a new depth to his jokes.
Just watched this, and it is my new favorite podcast episode. 2 comics of the same age, from the same region just talking about it all. Loved this episode so much.
Louie explaining how he does stand up from scratch should cost money, but it doesn't, it's free and on top of that he takes time to go step by step, like we're in real comedy school, wow! and that's why he's one of the best, thanks man!
Louie (his TV show) is excellent, too. You can get all of his stuff on his website directly from him. All of his stand up is great, too. The newer, the better. He's a master at what he's passionate about, and his work shows his excellence. Top comic alive 100%.
everything he's talking about at around 1:47:30 is why he is the GOAT. It's also why you must search "louis ck nyc" and watch the first result. It's one of the greatest 10 minutes of stand up ever done, and it's played to like 16 people.

When this aired last year I agreed with Louis about the cold plunge thing. I was 235 pounds and had some money. I've lost my job since then, but decided to take care of my body. I box, lift, do yoga, cycle and take cold showers since an ice bath is a bit out of my means (Being Canadian, I can achieve cold shock in the back yard for free 4-5 months a year so that helps.) I'm now 190, and have no stress whatsoever, all the extra dopamine and energy has made providing for my wife and son easier EVEN WITHOUT A JOB. The idea that you have to "drag your body over glass" to get by and that life is too hard to take an hour a day to care for your body and yourself is really just a bad mentality. Just my experience but in the last year I've completely come to agree with Joe on this topic. Turns out his bazillionaire status isn't why its easy for him to do all those things for his health.
Man, Louis is just always so hilarious! Even while just explaining how he goes about his technique! And seeing Joe laughing so hard, these are good times! I'm been laughing out loud several times and I'm only 17 minutes in.
4 minutes in and I'm commenting. I'm an FOH audio engineer who has certainly done my fair share of concerts. Between 200 and 500 shows a year for the last 40 years. I still get nervous before every show. I used to get nauseous, fortunately that has eased up. But just prior to the show I sit there in the middle of the room, surrounded by the audience, and I think things like, "Everybody here took time that they could be doing anything else but they chose to be here because they know it's going to be special. Some saved for months. Some planned for months. Some came from the farthest side of the earth. Just to be here and witness a group of people doing something awesome. Every one of them deserves awesome. The last thing they need is some sound guy getting in between them and and the beauty that is about to take place in the room." Then the first note hits and I'm instantly in my element. It's what I do. I deliver the artist to the seats. I'm perfectly calm every minute the artist is on stage. (Well... most days... ;-))
Bruh I've run sound too. What is the 'i deliver the artist' bullshit and being nervous tripe. Literally run your lines and double check your levels. I've performed as well and the nerves between the two are NOTHING alike.
@@royaltoadclub8322 "Deliver the artist to the seats" bullshit is literally the only job of the audio engineer. It is the prime directive. Running lines and checking levels is in direct service to that goal. I have also performed as well. I didn't get nervous preshow. And now that I think about it, I wonder if it's because I didn't take performing as seriously. I know full well that I've never written a song that people will remember. But when I'm doing sound I'm working for people that have written songs that are dear to people. I don't want to be the guy that keeps the audience from getting the most appropriate representation of what the artist is laying down.
@@royaltoadclub8322 Delivering the artist to the seats is the sole responsibility of the audio engineer. It's the prime directive. Running lines and checking levels is the second step in a long list of actions necessary to accomplish that goal. If you've ever been to a show that sounds bad, one or more of the things in that list have been compromised by whatever means. I too, have performed. I rarely got nervous. Now that I think about it, I wonder if it's because I just don't take it as seriously. I know full well that I have never written a song that people want to hear again. There's no pressure in being background noise. But some of the artists I do sound for have written songs that are special to people. I get nervous because I want everyone to get what they came for. The systems I use are complex and any failure on my part could interrupt the enjoyment of hundreds and thousands of people. Bruh
Delivering the artist to the seats is audio engineers sole responsibility. The prime directive. Running lines and checking levels is the second task in a long list of actions necessary to achieve that goal. If you've ever heard a bad sounding show it's because one or more of those actions has been compromised in some way. I too, have performed in front of audiences. For some reason I rarely got nervous. Thinking on it now, I suspect it's because I didn't take it as seriously. I know full well that I've never written a song that people have wanted to hear a second time. There is no pressure in being the background noise. On the other hand, some of the people I do sound for have written songs that the people of the world do want to hear again. And who am I to stand between them and that which they came to hear? Well... I'm the sound guy. Not only do I not have the right to deny each and every seat the experience they paid for, I would be derelict to do so. I believe my nervousness was explained clearly in the lines in quotes in my original message. Have you never driven to work thinking, "Shit, did I leave the oven on?" But really, the point I was trying to make is probably more apparent in context to what Louis was saying around the 4 minute mark - the three sentences surrounding the bit of the statement that you found so offensive.

I'm glad he said that because I think we have numbed ourselves as a society and don't always respect people's privacy. It is very much an entitlement to people's misery and loss.
@LetsTalkAboutPrepping Well said.
Louis is the man!!! What a guy, he’s so smooth in convo like butter
Louis is the best guest for any interviewer. Best Rogan podcast ever.
Hard working comedians. That's why he's the best.
This is a Master Class of the psychology and mechanics of comedy.
This felt so natural and intimate. So good.
Joe Rogan talking on a deep level about comedy with great comedians is hilarious. Cause Louis will say things about building comedy and working through the material with the crowd as if him and Joe are the same, but Joe is a straight up stool humper of a comedian.
it's hard to watch. Rogans standup is schaub-like
@oscar3611 I don't understand these kind of comments. Rogan isn't on Louie's level - we all know that.
But if you've watched his specials and watched that Schaub special then you know Rogan is 10 levels above Schaub. Come on.
I thought the same shyt, I never thought Rogan was funny 🤷
if youre reading this, go listen to old clips of Louie on opie and anthony. the absolute greatest
I think Louis CK will always be my favorite comedian. Every one of his podcast appearances are great too.
If you come across this, please send your prayers and positive energy. I’ve been battling health issues for years.
Hope you are doing well..stay positive
Wow, I'll be honest I never thought Louis was so thoughtful and intelligent. I mean I knew he was smart, because his comedy is genius, but I guess I just never saw him speak so naturally before. Great to hear about his deeper thoughts about the world, gives a new depth to his jokes.
thank you jamie for postin these

Just watched this, and it is my new favorite podcast episode. 2 comics of the same age, from the same region just talking about it all. Loved this episode so much.
Hearing Joe explain Bohemian grove to Louis and just hearing Louis go “oh god” “oh Jesus Christ” to the Druid costumes and the owl worshipping 😂
I like Joe alot, but sometimes I have to get off the bus when he goes to strange bus stops.
That had me howling.
And idk if you've ever heard his Nixon story on Matt & Shane Secret Podcast, him going "Nixon was there?!" Made me laugh so fuckin hard
These re ups are confusing tf out of me 😭
Same lol but still pretty dope because I forgot about this upload
I’d love to see a new Louis CK ep, but I’ll watch again to see what I missed.
I’m with you, this episode is not a banned ep right!? I don’t remember listening to it on Spotify.
Why is he reuploading them?
@@crazydov the full vids must not have been on UA-cam
LCK is a master story teller, master of his craft and funny as hell. Love that guy
Heart skipped a beat then I realized I already saw this a year ago

The art and science of stand up comedy creation explained by one of the best in the field. Masterclass level.
I love Louis CK in every bit. My kind of comedian!
Louie explaining how he does stand up from scratch should cost money, but it doesn't, it's free and on top of that he takes time to go step by step, like we're in real comedy school, wow! and that's why he's one of the best, thanks man!
Louis CK is my fav
Louie (his TV show) is excellent, too. You can get all of his stuff on his website directly from him. All of his stand up is great, too. The newer, the better. He's a master at what he's passionate about, and his work shows his excellence. Top comic alive 100%.
This man is comedy philosopher.
everything he's talking about at around 1:47:30 is why he is the GOAT. It's also why you must search "louis ck nyc" and watch the first result. It's one of the greatest 10 minutes of stand up ever done, and it's played to like 16 people.
I have a special place in my heart for listening to comics talk shop. The best are only focused on honing their skills and they love talking about the process.
Two of my favourite men on the planet. They're both so easy and enjoyable to listen to.
Louis ck is the best stand up comedian of all time
Yes!!!!! I keep saying this
This convo is very alive and crackling!!! Louis ck…. A master conversationalist as well as a master comedian
It’s Joe-week on UA-cam, this should be an annual thing
I am not only so thankful to have had the chance to listen to a great conversation with Louis and Joe, but somewhat surprised, that I was NOT interrupted every 3 minutes by a stupid advertisement.
“Does uh does this fella know?” 1:14:56 😂😂
Louis is king 👑
Yeh😂😂😂
I’ve watched this like 10 times I don’t cannot believe it hasn’t got 10 million views. Not because of Joe because Louis is so interesting to listen to talk
I love his take on Australia. 😂
I love living here too. 👍🇭🇲
I did not know until this week how FANTASTIC and CORRECT this man (Louie) is. My GOSH! ❤🎉
Yeah, he’s a really nice man
I love listening to these two chitchat. They have a great dynamic and the convo flows organically without interruptions or contention, even if they don't agree on a particular topic. Louis CK is great even when he's not telling jokes
Thank goodness for the existence of Louis CK. I am sure he's given many the motivation to keep on living.
this whole episode is a Masterclass on stand up 👏
Saw him live in Atlanta before his MSG special. We were so close my wife and I felt like we were watching an episode of Louie in person 😂 my first live comedy experience and I’ll never ever forget it.
This episode is like that Marky Mark movie "Shooter" I'll watch it 8 times a year and be completely fine with it
For me it's like twice a month
His "patriot" movie about the boston marathon bombing wasn't a bad flick
Read the books the movie is based on.
At the risk of being "that guy" they are sooooo much better!!!
Steven Hunter is the author.
How in the world did you make that comparison, I havent seen why yet.
I learned more processing /life skills from this than a TED Talk. Love it! ❤❤❤
love the greatest hits but, please, drop the original air date in the description
Louis CK is so damn funny. I found myself laughing along with Joe at Louis just talking abut him doing standup.
his "Of Course, but Maybe" is one of the funniest bits I've ever heard
It's perfect. One of my favorite bits ever.
Agreed ! Reminds me of Ricky Gervais : "I should'have stopped there, but yet"
“slavery” is somehow the funniest line in the bit and it’s not even the punch line
Anytime I introduce someone to Louis, that's the bit I show them. That bit encapsulates exactly what Louis is.
@@svnfshmusic my favorite part is how he sets the audience up with the "of course slavery is bad"..as soon as the first groan comes out.."no, no, you just clapped for the kids dying with nut allergies...you're in this with me, you don't get to cherry pick"
This is one of my favorites. Thank you.
Good for joe for shining a light on this up and coming comedian
I love jamies faint little laugh when louis asks if bohemian grove is where alex jones grew up

CK louis is a philosopher
In order to be a great comedian, you first have to be a philosopher.
Philosophers are constantly asking themselves, "but why?" ...It's in pursuit of the why-is where he discovers the absurdities of the "what is"
In either case, it means lots and lots of time spent inside one's own head
Its like playing blackjack while getting good cards and saying 'See? Im good at playing cards.'
Perfect analogy.
goddamn. This is the best thing since O&A. Do it more, you two. I'll listen every day.
Nobody has ever made SNL funnier than those couple of openers LCK did. Absolute genius.
Well there's Norm
Definitely wasn't chris farley
Seth macfarlane did
Louis finally confronts Joes complete detachment from the way most of the world lives, and I loved every minute of it
I literally just got to that part. “I’m sorry for the guy in that conversation.”
@@simplenough and Joe is always the guy having that conversation 😂
Louis is the best
I saw Louis CK twice in Mobile, AL after the controversy. Still love you Louis! 🖤
So happy you’re back on YT.
Listening to this was such good medicine 💊 I like to make rugged fallout settlements while I listen to the joe 🎉
great conversation; loved the controlled irritation on both sides
Joe trying to keep up with Louis is just adorable to watch lmfao
"Oh, you don't like it? Then here's a bit more of it." Louis CK in a nutshell.
Every single person I've ever talked to in a nut shell.
1:31:05 is like that scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where Rick and Cliff are watching Rick's episode of FBI and they're commentating over it.
all hail king Louie
Oh wow the best stand-up comic in the world! Like like like

I love Louis. Such a GOOD human being. A part from being hilarious.
Louis should create his own podcast and host himself.

Or "WTF are you doing?" with Marc Maron & CK
"somethings making a lip smacking noise" with Bert Kreisher "
"the king and shooting strings" with Theo Von
I was at Louis show in Melbourne, Australia. I don’t know why he thought no one knew who he was. Everyone knew who he was 😂. It was a Louis CK headline show!
Turns out his bazillionaire status isn't why its easy for him to do all those things for his health.
thank you for writing this. i've been in a bit of a slump in my life at the moment. i'll try to do what you've done. thanks man.

I love Louis so much. I loved this entire conversation.
I was sad when Louis CK got “cancelled” he’s one of my favorite comedians 🙌🏼🫶🏻
Oh I need to research this. He's brilliant!❤🎉
Love Louis, thank you Joe for a great conversation 🎉❤❤❤
Have you never driven to work thinking, "Shit, did I leave the oven on?"
But really, the point I was trying to make is probably more apparent in context to what Louis was saying around the 4 minute mark - the three sentences surrounding the bit of the statement that you found so offensive.
Two of the best comedians alive Louis CK and Dave Chapelle!!! 🤘🧡😃
