Through the analogy of vampires and the metaphors of horror, The Night Courier explores how our differences pit us against each other, and how our humanity might bring us together.
In a society where vampirism is known and somewhat common, a night courier is hired to feed those who have been turned and are unable to live amongst us. The effects of vampirism occur on a spectrum where some are able to pass as 'normal', while the effects make others so volatile that average life is impossible.
The courier's assignment is to capture the chosen prey and deliver it. When one of those selected victims escapes, a situation that has been meticulously planned slips out of her control.
Forced to deal with the issue, the courier is placed in a scenario that opens her eyes to the oppression of communities around her in an unconventional way.

I really like stories like this. No beginning no ending just a sliver of horror from the middle.
Also I want to say the acting in this was superb. Her who didn't really say anything and conveyed so much and him who said a few things but really did the whole fighting for his life fantastically. I loved the fight scene.

something about a protagonist not speaking a word is so... intense and mystical...
She's the strong and killer type.
She literally speaks multiple times while training her Spanish when she first nabs the guy.
She’s the villain, not protagonist. She kidnapped an innocent black man and killed another innocent black man.
@@Jalbesbe I mean generally... think of movies where the hero was the silent type... their badassery would've been less if they were talkative, in my opinion (like hardcore henry or willy's wonderland)

This would make for a good pilot for a series following The Night Courier and her finding "food" for the vampire. We never get her name. We barely see the vampire. Just her going from place to place getting people and delivering them to the vampire. Maybe she charms them sometimes. Maybe she stalks them. Maybe on some nights she fails to get them but then at the last moment gets someone else. Just her struggling to do her "job."
Well, it just so happens that we wrote a feature script currently in festivals! And we're even considering adapting that into a pilot, so you nailed it on the head!

This was very strange, but very good!! The woman played her part very well. Would love to see more about this. I love vampire stories!!
So what did she do with the guy at the end of the story? He's in the back seat, and the lady doesn't talk or whatever she is. I know she finds people to feed to that other thing that busted out of the crate, but I don't know what she did with the guy from the beginning because she just kept looking at him and then drove away. But other than being confused about that, it was a cool story and I liked it a lot. It was quite entertaining and the plot was intriguing. Thank you for the upload, I appreciate it!
It's a no-beginning, no-ending type of story. Very cool: we get to imagine it all!

This was so interesting and good. So, wait--is the courier a vampire too? Because that stab wound seems to be healing. And the other lady did say, "the sun is coming up soon." I can only guess what happened to the other guy.
Did she actually feel something toward the last victim that had escaped and let him live for now!!
Or the two cops satiated the vampire enough.

Why as soon as he entered the house didn't grab the phone and call 911 ?? Sometimes some scenes in horror movies are just unreal or clichés.....
Reminds me of the other one with the guy his gf and the box . I'm like ok u have proof some creepy ass dude is in a box staring at u. Call 911 say u have someone who broke in ur house and u have them at gun point.

Loved this! The woman was captivating. The guy she captured evoked such visceral feelings. The young police officer was good looking and very compelling even though he died quickly lol. Would love to see more of all of them!

the thing in the box was Jack, the thing that killed the cops and i think is the son of the old guy at the house who locked the other guy in Jack's old room

Also, the woman seemed to be taking notes about different vampires at the end of the film. What if the protagonist was actually a vampire that she'd been hunting in secret?
This was so satisfying I enjoyed it immensely. You can run but you can't hide. Poor guy he tried to escape but he was a good catch. Lol.👍

You really baited me with this. First I thought she was the night courier because she was doing his ex a favour and maybe that's what she did...but it started to dawn when she was collecting blood for something that she had locked in a box that wanted out now and when the baby was no longer containable in the room but "all children must leave the nest". Holy shit the tension of this. The most horrifying part to me though was the police not listening and having no sensitivity training...but the most disturbing parts were when the prey was looking at her like he knew he was done for and she was looking back with remorse in her eyes...like she couldn't help doing this but had no choice. And the book "who are you really?" when I first saw it I answered "well clearly a murderer" about her but when I saw it the second time it was like in a whole new context. Who is she really?

Great film. Loved it. But there is one BIG error thst i unfortunately couldn't see past 😕. Near beggining of the film, when she just drags that MAN that is definitely atLEAST 180LBS. She wouldn't be able to carry him to the car like that, ESPECIALLY when its dead weight. I honestly tried my very best to let it go but my mind unintentionally kept reverting back to this moment😢. It's a small mistake at first but manifests itself into a truly aad mistake.
