Neat temporary interm fix. On the rear window, while the windows held up in place, screw a self tapping screw thru the 'keyhole' shaped hole in the centre vertical runner, into the plastic runner guide, to fix the window in the up position. On the front window, take one of the broken door panel clips ( theres always one that breaks, when ordering the regulator, get clips as well ) hold the window up in place, now push the clips spike into the keyhole shape hole in the runner near the door lock. Done from the correct side ( check ) the clip will clip in and hold the window up in place till its fixed. Without the drivers side panel in place, central locking wont lock that door, but the door key will.
this guy is making the video to show you something that you where obiously interested in and you hating on the man because of his production value? Im at a loss for words
@@SirFixAlotAutos Thanks, I have several to fix & now I'm convinced to just buy the kit, rather than individual parts. Thanks for the quick reply & the excellent video.
There are just more switches in the door panel to deal and most of the functions branch from the driver's side switches. Please note I am referring to left hand drive Audi A4's.

What actually broke in the first place?
The window regulator cable became frayed and one of the cable guides was damaged.

My rear door centre runner leg broke & the front windows wire got tangled up in the winder part, probably caused by something else.
How would it be dearer than driver side?
