Awsome shit dude! Thanks for the tutorial, I will be doing this myself. I winter shit off my SQ5 last week at a all-season carwash and now all the handles don't work, they were already working on and off to begin with. Thanks bro!
So today I was at a convenience store to run in real quick. I left the car running and took the key fob with me and hit lock while the car was still running. When I came back the remote entry didn't work on the door handle so I had to use the unlock button on the key fob to get in the car. Then when I went to open the trunk on my 2018 Audi S5 Sportback, same thing, button on tailgate did didn't open trunk and had to use key fob to open and close trunk. None of the doors worked. I watched this video and thought what a weird coincidence if my door sensor just happened to stop working at that moment so I got out of the car and locked it with the key fob again. Voila, everything started working normally again. Thanks for the video. Very informative. May need that knowledge someday but my fix was even a little easier today fortunately.
Hello, I have the following problem, when I clear the errors on the diagnostics, 2 doors work, but after a while they all stop working the other door 2 does not work at all
That’s very weird because usually if one doesn’t work none of the doors would work, maybe there is an iffy connection somewhere due to some water damage or something along those lines.
For me only front left doors are not opening. Fun fact is that after unplug and plug in acumulator it started working for few days and then dead again. What can it be? Do you thinkg replacing it may actually help?
Honestly that’s an interesting situation, half of me is saying that it’s a issue not related to the door handle sensors and it’s something further up the line in the electronics and half of me is thinking that it would be a sensor. Did you try scanning the car, what fault codes do you get?
You are the Man!!!! I have been searching everywhere for this type of video. Perfect!!!!!

Yeah I bet there is a crack and water got inside like mine, good luck with the install!!
This really did the trick for me. Thnx for the vid.
Thanks for the help! Worked Perfect on 2015 A7
Glad it helped!
Any idea if you confirm this part is the same on Audi A1 2019+ models? There was a facelift that year.
Where did you get the replacement sensor?
Thanks!
Hello. If i have a defect door, left door back dont work, keyless entry dont work?
Most likely yeah. If any of them stop working then keyless entry stops working completely.
@@Gannonvoegtline thanks man. God bless you

Nice video! But doesn't it need coding of some sort to be able to work?
Nope all I had to do was clear the codes after I installed the new one and it worked perfect.

What kind of code scanner do you have?
I have a topdon, it works amazing and can do everything the super expensive ones can do!
