A good way to practice aim is spawn camping an entire galleon in gally arena. There’s more than one target, some of their movement is either predictable or unpredictable. Use sniper pistol and practice aiming with those. Also learn how to x-cancel with your reload it will help tremendously in pvp especially on pistol.
I know arena isn’t the most popular way to play however it’s the best place to practice any and all PVP IMO. TDMs in arena have improved my close qtrs ability’s immensely. If you’re intimidated by other unknown players then it’s also very easy to solo que for arena with friends to get into an arena lobby together and practice fighting together with friends to improve. Great videos though HITBO, these guides always help.
I have been trying to fine tune all the different weapons aim down speed for a while. Never thought to max there then fine tune the other sensitivity. Gonna give this a try for sure. Ya never know eh?
Aristocrat and cultured aristocrat skins make great replacements for the ebon Pistol, if your anything like me finding one of those codes is rarer than seeing aliens in HitboTC's streams!!!
Ebon flintlock will be a twitch drop on June 26, which is a week from now, so don't forget to link your SoT account to twitch and watch 20 minutes of any streamer. The wheel and tankard will also be available on June 25 and June 27 respectively.

A great way to have a constant stream of Skelly target practice is to finish or load the last chapter of the first tall-tail. They never stop coming for you, you increase renown and the skellys look really cool!
as someone whos coming back to fps after a long hiatus because of RSI, u got some pretty good advice here, one thing i would recommend to anyone is run gridshot on an aim trainer if you really wanna hit that next level, it mimics the type of aiming you might do in sot relatively well, and it gives you a way to analyze yourself, as well as know when you hit your goal of progression

It would be good to see a guide on how to hit targets from your ship. I've noticed that aiming straight at targets doesn't usually work. You have to aim in front of them or something like that. I've never worked it out. I've seen lots of footage of sniping players ship to ship and always wondered what the rules are and how various streamers always seem to be so accurate.

sometimes if im playing with a friend, we go with pistol and eye of reach and try to hit each other while were dodging. Because that sound effect when you hit someone with a gun plays even when theyre your teammate
what i do is go to arena and pull the double gun out with whatever i wanna practice such as pistol and sniper, and not try to win but just to board people and kill them, you don't need to camp them but practice boarding is a good skill to have

I think that the best way to improve your aim is to join an alliance and ask them if they would want to fight you using only swords/guns (TDM). In my opinion If you do this you will be able to fight off pirates better
Arena isn’t very fun, it definitely can be but it for sure helps with cqc. Always going to be a sweat (me) trying to board so you’ll have plenty of practice defending from boarders and ship combat practice !

Practice does make yourself better and the best way to practice is Arena. Idk y people say it doesn’t make u better. TDMing is the way
TDM, campwars, spawn camping. arena trains you on that stuff and makes your game sense and aim go way up

Best way is PvP. Just shoot everyone and everything you see. Shoot first ask questions later is actually really good advice.
Always remember to lead a bit when the target is moving, especially on land.

Me too! I will try to alternate between the one on the main mast and the one aloft in the crows nest
Wanderers Refuge and Crooked masts are two islands with bells i can think of.

Practising sniping skellies on islands you're passing is super useful for getting the hang of bullet drift at different ranges/speeds.
