I got what you were doing all along after I realized the plug to the external battery pack was an add on and not just a recharge feature that came with it. I then realized what the purpose of opening the Ex. Bat. Pack and identifying Pos. and Neg was done for. Good job. (A short typed description would help some people)

Decent vid, you got the point across. You paralleled a pair of 18650's in series with the external batteries and hacked one original battery so the camera would get a legit signal from the battery PCB to make it think it's a valid power source. Good stuff.
Yes. But you can get a dummy battery and connected to a power bank or any supply. But to bee the same voltage if the dummy does not convert the voltage. ⚡👍
@@dannyblondu23 Yes, there's a few other videos on UA-cam showing that as well, but you need a 9V power supply. I have individual 18650 cells with an individual charger, as well as a dual cell 18650 holder with leads, so I'm going to do this version.

But if I connect 18650 3.7v by 2 = 7.4v can it work with the battery BMS with 3 wires as original way then long 3 wire from BMS to 18650 two batteries outside the cam can it work but what output volt will come 7.2v or 7.4v if 7.4 volt comes in output mean point 2 volt extra will it damage BMS or camera pls reply soon for nikon d5500 from india

Hi. The range for external battery it's from 5v-9v. So if you gonna put 7.4v its ok. If you want to have more mAh. Put 4 battery 18650 2S2P. Good luck

Why not just plug in a 7.4v PSU ?
Because when you are out on the park and take time-lapse you need a big battery. You don't have electricity.

I don't want to say your video was horrible. In fact, it may have been good - I couldn't watch it all the way thru because there is no communication.
