This is precious!! and raising kids with the cooking skills and their history ❤❤ The foods of our ancestors shouldn't be forgotten (that goes for language, too). We have Mexican/Cuban/Russian in our family and those foods have all been shared with my children and their appreciation for food is amazing.

At home in UK we've always pronounced the sauce as 'wuster' sauce, most people drop the 'shire'. Easier for all to say esp kids. Great food and happy family by the way, more recipes please...

It is great that you are teaching your children about their culture and showing them how to cook as they may need it later in life to feed themselves. My grandmother began teaching me how to cook food and my mother taught me some also and after getting into the Air Force I learned even more from the chefs who worked in the food service facilities where I was stationed at.
