There was 3 planes that looked similar but different. The Boeing’s 367-80, 707 and 720 with different engine mounts, inboard wing. The 720 had a small tail fin under the fuselage, although many 707s later got a similar fin there, too. The 720 only had two separate cabin air systems, and therefore intakes only above engine #2 and 3. The 707 had three systems and intakes above engine #1, 2 and 3 giving them a strange asymmetric look like something missing on engine #4. Even for aviation nerds, telling apart a Boeing 707 and a 720 is tricky. Your best bet is to look at the pylon on the No 4 engine. Some also used Pratt & Witney and some used Rolls Royce engines. Another difference between the 707 and the 720, was that the latter only had two turbocompressors. A turbocompressor is what Boeing used in these aircraft instead of a bleed-air system, for cabin pressurization. This is because turbojet and early low-bypass turbofan engines didn’t generate enough air volume for a bleed-air system to work without robbing the engine of too much power. There was also dimension differences inside and out of all 3 planes determined by the model. The 707 had three turbocompressors, i.e. one on each engine except engine No 1. To simplify the systems of the 720, Boeing only put one turbocompressor on each of the inboard engines. This system has its own air intake on an extension on the front of the engine’s pylon. In other system differences, the 720 didn’t have an APU!

Alternatively, you could just wait a bit, the 707 will be included in the MSFS 2024 Aviator edition.
Yes it resembles the 707 but the accuracy of the modelling in some areas is poor. Like the eyebrow windows, cockpit window geometry - in fact the entire section 41. Few can get this Boeing section 41 done right, whether it's the 727, 737 and now this 707. Captain Sim did a very good job with their 737, as well as IFly and PMDG. I caught a glimpse of the Aerial Simulations version and first impression is that it looks quite good.
It is highly unlikely this will satisfy that need for you. Look back at all of the other official addon's like local legends and famous flyers. They are nice looking representations, but they are designed with the average simmer in mind. Hard to believe, maybe, but most people don't want to deal with full fidelity AC and need to study to fly them. There is nothing wrong with this, in my mind. They are priced appropriately. A ~$20 USD pricetag should tell you the level of quality. There is absolutely a place for these type of AC, and they help bring in more simmers and grow the footprint of the sim, which helps EVERYONE, even the people with the 737 cockpits in the garage.
@@197jmThank you for writing this. It's refreshing to hear someone who actually sees both sides of the coin. Myself, I prefer the airplanes to be as realistic as they can, but I also think that for us to have so many planes represented (to a basic degree of realism) is much better than to never have them at all. Also there have never been so many highly detailed planes developed than there is now, so I think everybody is winning here, and people just have to get rid of the expectation that Microsoft is going to spend all their time and budget on making study level aircraft when so many people actually don't want that.
Bought this on xbox. Not bad for $10 bucks but the plane is broken. Front landing gear turns full left. Autopilot does not work and it would be nice if the cargo versions actually looked like a cargo plane and one of the planes does not want to take off. Full speed brakes with reverse thrusts. @@colourwheel20 Not really. The 707 didn't have a huge amount of flex on those wings and it very noticeable in the trailer that the wings do in fact flex.
I can confirm there was a lot of flex on the aircraft I flew in, more than any other I’ve flown in (I’ve flown in a lot of airliners). I still don’t see any flex in this video, so it seems like we will never agree.
Don't forget that turbulence plays a part in wing flex also.
The very mother of the queen of the skies, the 747.
Im in love with this Boeing 😍
I love the 707, unfortunately this looks like a bit of a rush job 😞
Beautiful soundtrack too!
Great!!!
This thing is so bad and embarrasing for MSFS, lets hope they pull it off the marketplace, refund everybody for that and kick out AH for good.
Looks like comic, and will be a toy, 100% sure! Airlplane Heaven never made a good Plane, especially not an airliner. I would appreciate a B707 von TFDI, PMDG, or Fenix.
Finally this magnificent aircraft!
Shame it's a terrible add on.
@@HulkBogan-lq3vk really? I'll have to watch some reviews...
@@lvwpyits bad 😢
It's terrible
It's Aeroplane Hell😭
I hope they add the E-6 or E-3 to this. Would be a lot of fun
Look how they massacred our boy 😢 the 707 deserved so much better representation in sim.
The soundtrack to this trailer sounds like a John Williams piece.
If i buy the plane does it carry on to MSFS24 ?
Yes, and it has been said many times over the past YEAR.
Yes, it does, like all your Marketplace purchases do, as long as you buy MSFS 2024 at the same store. But if you switch from MS Store to Steam or vice versa, your Marketplace purchase won't carry over.
Swiss001 incoming 🗣️
It's great, but I dont want it to just be a fun plane to fly. I want highly accurate systems too, otherwise I'll go for the upcoming XP12 B707
@@197jm At least I have the FSLabs Concorde to keep me satisfied🔥
@@197jmThank you for writing this. It's refreshing to hear someone who actually sees both sides of the coin. Myself, I prefer the airplanes to be as realistic as they can, but I also think that for us to have so many planes represented (to a basic degree of realism) is much better than to never have them at all. Also there have never been so many highly detailed planes developed than there is now, so I think everybody is winning here, and people just have to get rid of the expectation that Microsoft is going to spend all their time and budget on making study level aircraft when so many people actually don't want that.
@@Azchk Rising tides raise all boats!
Genial, congratulations
Bought this on xbox. Not bad for $10 bucks but the plane is broken. Front landing gear turns full left. Autopilot does not work and it would be nice if the cargo versions actually looked like a cargo plane and one of the planes does not want to take off. Full speed brakes with reverse thrusts. Fix the tweaks please.
now we need a 707 with the f108 engines
where is the grumman ag-cat crop duster
Look this is old school flying if you can't stand the old tech don't enter the cockpit. Would like to see the CIVA in operation though! 0:24
Now if only they would add a additional livery pack. … American Airlines, Continental Airlines, TWA, and Air Force 1, for starters
