This little guy is about as stable and easy to fly as a micro FPV drone can be. I actually intended to buy the Mobula 6 for indoor flying while in home lock down but it wasn't in stock, so I ended up with this instead, and I couldn't be happier. Very cool review, I really appreciate the close up shots and your insights, really helps make an informed decision since I never get to see one in person before I spend that 💰!
This is the quad I started with and still fly today. I have crashed it into so many things and it does not look like it has ever crashed. I found that the props like to pop off too easily so now I add just a tiny drop of blue Loctite to the motor shaft and I have not lost a prop since. And since they are protected by the frame, they have not gotten any damage to them as well. This quad is so much fun for beginners to the pros that just want to have a little safe fun once in a while. Great video Justin! 👍
Bought my first drone Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle and a bunch of batteries. Been getting pretty good at some drone sims. Can't wait to start learning with the real thing.
Dude, love your stuff. Do Not bind the Tinyhawk 2 in D16. It constantly failsafes and drops to the ground while the RSSI value shows high. In D8 it works fine.
My THs is my main slow exploration craft. So smooth and steady on 1s. I can crawl through gaps I can't do with my 65 mm whoops. Love the upgrades on this one. Thanks for the video!
I recent got the Tinyhawk 2 RTF kit as my first drone (if you don’t count the Propel Star Wars one I got a few months back). I’m loving it. My only “regret” is that the controller and goggles are proprietary. I wish now I’d purchased those separately so they can grow with me as I progress. Also, the goggles are poorly (IMHO) designed in how they fit. Not affected much by the light leakage, but it sits on my nose in a way that I have to actually pull it down over my nose, so the tip of my nose is actually in the goggles, otherwise I can’t see the whole screen. Thanks for the amazing video(s)!
Really nice flying. I got a EZ Pilot this week and on day 3 the motor gave out. So sure I will get an exchange but before that even happened I ordered a TH2 with enough battery to give me 35 mins of practice a day. Hopefully I can do that tree stuff. I did not realize how hard flying is til I handled one. You have good control.
Love the slow crawls.. so much control.. perfect for exploring tight places. Also for me it said "justin davis and drunk am talk " these youtube generated subs...
Justin I love your reviews and have purchased many quads based on your recommendations, and you’ve been right on every time. I absolutely love the TinyHawk 2 so much I bought 2, it is theee smoothest and easiest micro quad to fly for sure, it blows the Mobula out of the water👍👍🤟🏻
FYI - The warning card for PIDS is wrong..... in Betaflight it is set up to AUTOMATICALLY change profiles based on Battery Voltage. The Pilot does not need to worry... plug in pack and RIP. No changes needed.
Merry Christmas Justin! Hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday. Just an FYI regarding the Tinyhawk 2. The throttle control in Profile 2 has sudden burst at the low end. I reset the Throttle Expo to "0" in BF. Seemed to really smooth things out. Also lowered the Minimum and Warning Cell Voltages slightly (3.1 and 3.2). Helped with the Low Battery Warnings. End result was an even better flight experience. I did get a little more time on the 2S pack. Can't stop flying it indoors and outdoors. Thanks for all you do. Happy Whoop-Year!
I’ll try that with mine. Thanks for the tip Joseph. I lowered my batt voltage warning to almost off. ;) I’ll try throttle expo. Happy Holidays and new year!
Picked up BetaFPV start kit, jerry rigged 2s batt & smoked the video. Oh well, waitng for replacement(s)ordered 3. Also just added you to 2nd acct. Keep up the good work Thanks
Got the Tinyhawk S about a week & a 1/2 before Christmas. Now goin to have to get this one to add to the collection. Excellent review / flight Justin!!
you pretty much just sold me on this drone. I want to fly around my house front to back yard and my larva x is too fast for me to control in such close proximity. I'm pretty sure this drone is perfect for backyard flying :D thanks for the review!
Just flew mine for the first time today. Flies imo much better than the original TH. Although the 2 screws holding down the camera fell out during the flight. Yes, I love this quad. Perfect for learning. Like I said, I'd been flying the 'original' TH and I think it was much harder to learn with. I crashed so so many times...couldn't seem to get a 'feel' for its flight characteristics...however, with this one...it was much smooth and more predictable even in acro mode...I came away thinking I can actually/eventually get the hang of this sport.
Just got mine a couple hours ago. It is way easier to fly than my TH Freestyle 2. Very easy in the house. It feels like it floats in the air more than the Freestyle. Not as fast as the Freestyle but man is it fun to fly. Just started messing with the rates PID settings because it was way too slow for flips. Great for a beginner like me though.
These look like fun little toys but it's more like driving a formula one race car in the rain. Get the best remote control that you can afford. The supplied xbox looking RC in the kit is ok for angle mode but that's about it. The supplied goggles aren't bad and the drone camera is excellent. Just be prepared for a little bit of a let down but don't give up. : )
Hugo Bokhorst can’t stand those cheap wire linear antennas, all I use/own is circular antennas on goggles, do they have a version of diatone 369 4s with a stubby lollipop or micro axii?? Micro axii weighs nothing, every 3inch down to 75mmwhoop should have one...
very beautiful and interesting the drone, I liked it a lot. Say one thing, how did you do to film his fpv screen? Will it sd card? or did you have to do something different to film and put the fpv screen on the video?
Question for you @theRCCave : Since you're flying several of these new EMAX all in one boards (race, freestyle, basic) are you haven't ANY problems with them getting moisture and completely destroying the receiver? Landed in some slightly damp grass, was able to flip my drone (TH2) then lost ALL signal. Ideas?
Beginner question: I just ordered the Tinyhawk 2 RTF to fly indoors/outdoors and learn how to fly. If I want to later buy the standalone Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle to fly more aggressively outdoors, will I be able to bind the stock transmitter to another Emax Quad? THANKS!
Heard it‘s not really for outdoor, where emax drones are more for beginners & indoors. I could imagine flying this in the mall where it‘s congested & using people’s legs as obstacles 🤣🤣🤣 👍 „Drone Wars“ the FPV pilots strike back! 🤣🤣🤣 Next on my list to buy! Thanks for review.
Just got Tinyhawk 2. Flew it on a windy day and it did great. This is one of the most amazing quads I've flown in its class. I have the Tinyhawk 1 and this thing it does it by tenfold. I just bought another five batteries four mine! Justin is correct the control you have over this thing is absolutely fantastic. Hope this helps. Happy New Year.
Hello Mr.Drone Campus so I purchased a Arris Dazzle 5in freestyle/ race drone after getting the flysky fs-i6x transmitter that came with a FS-IA6B receiver..and I don't know how to bind the two together they r both brand new and I have never hooked either one to the computer or to the beta and the owners manual says that the quad it factory tuned and tested before shipped and I have the BNF version of the ARRIS DAZZLE so I figured I clnd just bind and fly with my brand new flysky fs-i6x transmitter with a external FS-IA6B and like I said I have no clue how to bind the 3 things for the drone to fly....CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME !!!!..thank u for ur time ...shane
I know this is a rather old video in the world of Drones. However, would this play nicely with the Radiomaster Zorro Starter set? Either by installing an ELRS EP1 or EP2 receiver OR with the internal multiprotocol that the radio has? I see the FrSky D8 protocol in the radio. I've asked the store, but they claim it does not bind, but another source says it does. If someone has done this and can confirm, it would be very nice to hear about it. :)
I have a very newbie question! When i see that video breakup, is that what you see in your goggles also? Iv never owned anything fpv yet and im interested in getting into it but i feel like it would drive me nuts seeing all the bad video through my goggles. Almost feel like its better to go straight to the dji digital fpv system.

not sure if you’re still replying, but i just got myself one of these, and i’m wondering what your thoughts are about going straight to acro mode as a new pilot in fpv. i spent many hours flying helicopters in battlefield four, where i don’t believe there is any stabilisation, and flying on horizon and level modes feels somewhat awkward. in addition, how would you feel about swapping yaw and roll controls? i always flew with right on yaw and pitch and left on throttle and roll in my battlefield days, and having yaw on the left feels a bit awkward
I've always wanted to learn how to fly fpv I fly a lot of camera quads but my question is can you buy this already bound to a remote controller so we're all I have to do is charge up the batteries and fly

Are there any others that I should be considering? what are some pros and cons of the three I've listed?
