First, my pet peeve. Just because Taylor makes pork roll doesn't make it Taylor ham. That's just a marketing gimmick. I grew up eating Case pork roll and still prefer its milder flavor. And the quintessential NJ breakfast sandwich is pork roll, egg, and cheese on a kaiser roll. . . with ketchup.
Taylor Pork roll is my favorite. My grand mother used to make it in Spring Lake Heights, NJ when I grew up
BTW I have never in my life cooked pork roll in butter. I usually just spray the pan with a little bit of cooking oil.
That dude misunderstood the results of his own taste test
Wait....they cooked it in butter? What the hell? Why?
taylor best hands down smoky salty best
Case is number one!
Case' Tangy, which is what they use in ShopRite brand, is by far the superior pork roll.
Wow. I've always preferred ShopRite brand Tangy, but Case's was my backup because it tasted the same. Go figure. Lancaster brand is usually what I get from Acme also, I prefer the flavor and thickness to Taylor and Hatfield.
Shoprite makes a good pork roll
Shop Rite Tangy is the best pork roll.
Hard to find the 4 THICK SLICE TANGY VERSION. ONLY CAN FIND THE 6 SLICE TANGY THIN.....
Didn't even notice it till after this video that Stop & Shop sells it own store brand Pork Roll. As well as Taylor's & Alderfer.
Stop & Shop, Foodtown, Shop Rite, Acme store brands are actually Case brand. Check the USDA# on the package. 185 is the Case plant.
Case tangy cannot compare to the mild version. Not a very balanced taste test in that regard. No mention of tangy versus mild.
no trenton brand? what about shoprite tangy?
I think Trenton is made by Taylor and shoprite is Case - although both may be variations. you're right, though. Would've been good to expand to that. Next time.
Tangy is the best way!
You do not cook pork roll in butter. You cook it in it's own fat. This is a fail. Taylor is the best. I can tell the difference .
As soon as I heard butter I thought, "Amateurs...."
If you're not doing Case's you're not doing it right ....
Nice rack!! Always great to have a place to chain your bike up.
the non-tangy Case pork roll (not included!) is what I like. They used the tangy only so to me it's inconclusive.
Agree
Any more reviews featuring lil miss nose ring??? That rack, my god!
blind folded I can tell the difference between Case and Talory's; my preference being Talyor's but I had no idea there was other brands.
Pork roll? Isn't it supposed to be Taylor Ham? LMAO
Just saw on morning news that minor league baseball team, Trenton Thunder, will be changing their name to the Trenton Pork Rolls. I prefer Trenton Taylor Hams better. LOL
Case is in Trenton also.
Halal amd tasty
In the 60's - 80s in New Jersey, Taylor Pork Roll was the GO TO brand. It tasted so good on a poppy seed hard roll with a fried egg and cheese. But today, it tastes disgusting. Cooking Taylor Pork Roll smells like spam or dog food. What the heck happened to this brand? The best is either Shoprite brand or Case's.
the whole arguement is moot. cause its taylor ham!
Taylor is the ONLY real pork roll.
Sorry, but for me and many others, Taylor doesn't hold a candle to Case.
We ONLY bought Taylor Pork Roll in the past. But something changed in their ingredients. It even smells nasty when cooking it.
Lose the neck hair. It's too distracting. How can I follow your recommendation if nobody noticed your grooming flaw.
