@@PhillipRPeck got it on sale for 89.99 and does a great job for my gaming needs. The provided shock mount is not the best quality, the threaded rings pop off with a slight turn. They sent me a replacement
If budget is no issue, which mic would you suggest for a streamer who’s built an audience of 1000+ per stream on the at2020 usb mic? I feel like I’m cheating my audience with my current sound quality. Phenomenal content btw.
Thank you. I personally love the Shure SM7B. But it requires a ton of gain which is why most people end up pairing it with a mic booster in addition to whatever interface they buy
@@SOCOMJOHN first of all I would recommend you not to speak TOO close to the MIC, also if you dont set the MIC really in front of you but a little to the side (still pointing to your mouth) instead it will work much better cuz the air coming out of your mouth wont go directly into the capsule and will reduce the noise about Ps and Bs. About the gain: usually I set the MIC gain knob at something around 60% to 70% (like if the hour pointer of a clock is set between the 7-8 hour) and set the windows gain somewhere between 75-85%, it works really fine for online meetings and calls. to record audio using OBS i use the previous configurations and the OBS gain at 100% + noise reduction effect and a little compression too. its the best USB dynamic MIC I ever tried, for real
Thank you Phillip! I appreciate you sharing your use experience with the K658 mic!
Thank you for this! I bought one a few weeks ago and I couldn’t find much content on it.
No problem. How do you like it?

@@PhillipRPeck I appreciate that. i'm carting the RC pro and fethead now. I must admit the Klark teknik is intriguing
Just picked this up for my gaming Chanel at $70. Excited to see how it performs!
What were the other good options?
USB or XLR microphone? Dynamic or condenser? What's your preference?
XLR dynamic
I'm a XLR Condenser man my self
Do a review on the becan
Thank you, Hobo Lobo R. Peck.

What is it like for a singing voice,, I mean What happens if you do cover song?
because I am cover singer
I'm sorry, I don't sing. I only cover microphones for doing spoken word applications
@@PhillipRPeck it's ok
HI Fantastic Azmain, you can check out this video to see if it meets your requirement for vocals: ua-cam.com/video/vovfW0YYW64/v-deo.html
How much at gain are you using on video?
💯🤙
Does it work with a ps4?
It's supposed to be compatible with PS4/5, but I didn't try it out
So is this not a good 🎤?
Is it me or the K658 has more of the saliva sound?
I think the gain is too high
exactly, if you lower the gain a little bit it becomes perfect
@@fefa0713 what do you set the gain at? What percent do you turn the dial to?
