My "trainer" at the local gym... is NOT teaching anything correctly. He's on his phone while we're exercising... and doesn't even shows properly. Mistrals have been wrong this past year! 🙄

Just wondering - why do I need to use TRX for doing this ? I can do the squat exercises without it
Fair question. If you can squat then great but lots of people can't so they need support and the strap and a good tool to aid in the movement.
