Love a double mission! Also really like Doctrine's attitude, "Doc, we need answers", he just leaves. The matching tatoos comment was hillarious too! Many thanks for all the super action, Odd!!! Absolutly feasting on the current series you're making! 😁
I wish you were doing two a day. Man, every single day, I come back to see how the Game is progressing. I plan to buy this on DAY ONE. I hope it's a fair-price. Please, keep this series going.
One thing Chris is that you kinda want to keep your supers in close proximity so they can utilize their teamups. Rebound and Mindfire are particularly potent since their movesets compliment one another exceptionally well. He guarantees her backstabs and she moves him around as needed so he can always use focus. Tbh Rebound right now seems like the game's MVP since her teamup is ridiculously overpowered for getting others around. Wouldn't be surprised to see it get nerfed.
Just a little observation growth can be used offensively to get a bit more damage from pushback attacks and also used to prevent opportunity attacks and give Facet or anyone who has to walk past an opportunity attacks space the opportunity to reposition and avoid it while keeping the enemy locked down. It would be a good strategy to control and manipulate the damage Facet receives dangle him to tank a few attacks and use growth to manipulate who gets to attack him (with melee) and who doesn't. Love the content can't wait for this to be out so I can apply some other ideas I thought up watching your vids.
Shift forward, use vulnerable, focus because you didn't move and then use telekinesis. Alternatively, you could have just moved and then used vulnerable and telekinesis.
For the ultimate recharge- you'll likely need to charge it a second time to get the second activation out of it. Probably not really possible at the moment, but maybe later into the game he can charge faster?
The main difference between Shift and regular movement is that you can move without provoking attacks of opportunity, so you could potentially lure someone in your turn with Faucet's crystals blocking one attack on Mindfire, effectively allowing you to use Mindfire to tank 1 single hit, then move away with Shift on the next turn. It can also be used to move further than with your normal movement like when you used Rebound's teleportation to only move without necessarily attacking. Which leads me to also, you can tank 2 hits with Rebound, 1 with Faucet's protection, 1 with her evasion. You could lure 2 enemies to a far-away place and tank 2 hits with Rebound, then teleport her away and make them waste movement and turs in that way. There are many ways to use the different skills in specific contexts, some of them might be more niche than others but maps are very different and allow for different tactics.
Odd, from what I can tell you can only use each action ONCE per turn. AWARENESS gives you 1 extra Action, which lets you use ANY ABILITY or ULTIMATE with said action.
Another great video of a great game, the story is really intriguing, what's the woman up to, what exactly are the villain's programs, etc. I do feel like this reminder may be helpful: Rebound's dedicated disarm action seems quite powerful, it can do up to 3 people in a line, and disarm bars from each. You appear to overlook it in your options for disarming; not that you've really passed it in a situation where it would've been amazing, haven't seen one yet and teleport spin is nice disarm with damage from her too, just wanted to remind it's an option and a pretty strong one if you need to worry about disarming specifically
I like this game so far. Though I wish it had a bit more layers. It's again one of those that doesn't have too much replayability or anything. That's sadly a big deal for me. Hope at least there will be a big cast of heroes, maybe with dlcs and stuff after launch too.
Hey mr,odd sir, in the first episode of capes, you started by talking about a superhero game you played some years back, and i was super curious what game it was, do you mind telling?
@@ChristopherOdd if nobody else is complaining, something weird probably happened on my end. Really enjoying the game and it's always a joy to watch you play.
This game looks like it's going to be fun for a playthrough, but looks pretty linear unfortunately. Wish they could have made a campaign that was more x-com like.

14:04 ....wow what trigger discipline that random thug has..also wow look at him properly hold that pistol right.
impressive.
His hold and stance is actually better than a lot of Hollywood gun-points I’ve seen… good on the animators
Love the game, and 2 missions in one video nice touch

Super looking forward to playing this. Thanks for the playthrough, commander. Wish there were 10 episodes per day.
"super" looking forward to it? I see what you did there :-)
I'm going to assume Sword guy was an unstable clone / reanimated body, possibly what Alpha is working on with all the other Supes.
Watching you figure out Mindfire's Shift action move-set was great. Nice video.

I hope you plan on playing Manor Lords when it’s released 🙌

Yeah, this game is dope. So jelly that it's not available to play until 5-29

strange, my comment was supposed to have a bolded "2" in "disarm 2 bars from each", instead YT seems to have made it disappear
Watching this always makes me want more lol
i m enjoying the game and the tips you're giving in those video hope to see more from you
Ooof. Gangplank is gonna be hard. The base defense only happens after the assaulting the alien base so we're at least safe there.

I think you already have a 2 disarm ability on the teleporting girl.
I do! You'll enjoy next episode!
Finally, I was waiting so hard for this!
Definitely nabbing the King City Edition for my PS5. 😃
No more frostpunk?
i thought you still had stuff you could show?
Freedom Force lets gooooo

I'm on vacation when this game comes out. :(

At 21:50 at time of this comment, the decision not to fill Weathervane's ultimate and take out two enemies was very questionable.
“Company”
Company is such cringe dialogue…
