I’m a us bricklayer, I love watching you guys across the pond. You do things so different than we do. Bricklaying is still an art over there and not just a job. Live your channel I never miss a video. Someday I’m gonna come across and learn a thing or two from you and the amazing craftsman in Great Britain!!!
You should spend a year or two here, come and see the real country, we all learn off of each other, you'll have a good time, guaranteed!
@@davebloke829 I appreciate you saying that Dave! Us yankee bricklayers owe a lot to the mother land, I was in London years ago and was absolutely amazed at the work! God bless you and your family, and I wish you good luck!
Nice to see 2 genuine blokes having a heart to heart with each other, I'm sure he will remember this conversation for a very long time, you're a very passionate guy Dean, a very talented bloke, I've only been laying bricks timed served for 4 years now and my god I have so much to learn but that's what I get up for every morning, to earn good money and to learn something new because even the smallest thing I've learnt or a tip, could benefit me massively one day, all the best mate and keep doing what you're doing 👍🏻
Nice to see, I started laying bricks at 17, gained full City & Guilds, went on for many years before retraining as an architect, still have a london shape Mashall Town. When drawing any building the first thing I do is make it work for brickwork.
Totally agree Dean, with the breaking down of any goals, stage by stage, pen to paper actually write down what u need to do to achieve each stage, and anything is possible.
Brilliant, I enjoyed that. Dean, you could be the new Fred Dibnah. Making history programmes on the trades, showing your knowledge. Looking at all the old buildings.
Honestly an inspiration you lads. Always got me thinking one step ahead to live the lives like you
I’m 21 just started bricklaying watch some the videos are actually really good advice and helpful thanks Dean Mate keep it up
I'm a new subscriber and totally absorbed by your work ethic plus your love of the history behind the trade. Can I suggest a book you might be interested in? It's called The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressel, its set at the turn of the 20th century and follows the lives of a group of builders/decorators and their unscrupulous employer.
Looking forward to more episodes.
I had to learn bricking to do some restoration work and really enjoyed this video. That was some excellent fatherly advice given at the pub!
Dean , nice to see you didn't make ash feel he was being going to be given a lesson on the tools ,and you appreciated his progress going on his own ,much respect deano
Good video man. Love to see this type of stuff. Hope you keep up the content.

Love what you do mate keep it up 💪👏👏
Brilliant concept for a series.. Gonna love this I'm sure.. Some graft mixed in with some proper conversation. Wont wish you luck as you wont need it.
Cracking video and a great idea to do this, it gives real insight.
Wish I had a share in that café, judging by the bloody door bell lol! ;-)
Legends in the game!
Love the videos can't beat a pint of the black stuff after some graft
My company was formed in 1884, we have a sign above a premises that says our name and date 1884. I've been on the trowel 28 years, trained in London by the boys who rebuilt it after the blitz who are all long dead now, we buy land and build our own luxury new build homes for past 35 years, we had 70 brickies on before lockdown all f#cking useless building for Redrow, Countryside & a few others. Best thing I've ever done is get rid of them all and concentrate on building my own developments with a small gang, making millions of pounds but I still have to be on site every dam day to keep an eye on every c#nt. I admire your enthusiasm mate, nice trowel you are too. Good luck.
Great to see good bricklayers laying not tap tap tapping every brick. 👍. And shorts no shirt and hardhats. Perfect 👍
This stuff is so therapeutic!
Heat you tuber, down to earth, not piney, builds corners instead of profiles, old school banter, ive always li ovef Brickwork Dean, I love the old stocks, admired you work

Getting them down for sure. Waited to see how the two of you met in the middle and bugger me if your perps weren't bang on with no need to jiggle the adjacent bricks. Very impressive!

It’s kinda sad there no UA-cam channels of bricklayers in the US.
Knowledge is power
2 good brikies

Makes me nervous you are driving and videoing on country lanes mate.
Apart from that...brilliant 😊
No profiles 😮
srry to nitpick m8 but the wall u jumped over at the start is not ancient.at least three ziplines and four stone on top of each other in a 4m stretch.
Do u know of any concrete guys from your country, not brick workers
money..money..money
Front foot back foot oi oi
Didn’t last long did it , Ash openly says your an absolute helmet 😂😂😂😂😂 wasn’t you scared away from the fastest trowel thing 😢
Is it just me or does this guy look like tyson fury
Poor labouer
Wot you have to eat
What do you think of the sand up here in Birmingham dean I worked in London in the 80 s and the sand was sharper great video look ing forward to the next one all the best pete mac
Think you’re a top man not a bricklayer but my son is his 22 and really good and a grafter Gona send him this link think he could learn a lot from you 👍
I watch all your videos as I’m an apprentice bricklayer and your videos inspire me however I’m not being funny but you say your a traditional brick layer and you don’t like profiles but why is there a noticeable profile on ash’s side only enquiring as on site we are encouraged not to use profiles.
I hate it when someone just leaves 1 off 2 bricks to bed out just do the whole thing
Great video. But your bond looks way out.
For wire cut bricks never seen anything like it brother ..the contours wore so varied along with the sizes almost like 2nds but good talking points had few DM’s there using same brick nightmare
What the hell did they say ?
