You've done such a great job with him. Seems like yesterday he was a little squirt running into fences, now he's a big boy wearing a saddle! 😭
Oh how Banksy has grown up, seems like just last week he was still finding his legs and ran into the fence rail outside with his mom before his second mom. Now he's already wearing a saddle. Thank you for sharing his life with us and allowing us to be a part of his journey. He's quite a stunning young man
How he reacted to this session is purely a testament to you and all the work you have done with him so far.
"Just bring the treats. I'm good."
Is that a racing saddle? It’s a perfect starter saddle. What a good boy!
Yes it’s an exercise saddle! The ones they use in actual races are shockingly even smaller
his little knee marking is the best
I really like his face-markings❤️🐴
To think such a little spitfire of a baby has grown into such a young gentlemen vwv
What a well raised boy.
ive been waiting for this day since he was born
im so excited for when he properly gets started under saddle lmao, its so cool seeing how slow you take it with him as he grows up. I dont own any horses and i have almost no experience with them so its such a treat to watch your videos :)
Where has the time gone? I have a feeling you and he are going to make your mark together. Can't wait to witness it!
So true, it’s like it was yesterday that he was a baby! I’m considering buying a foal and was concerned about the long wait but seeing this makes me feel like it’s not that long!
@@maeva0123456789 all the joy, fun. Love and bond that you form makes the time fly. 🤩🇦🇺
@@lorrainebonell3167 My trainer told me to think about it but damn my heart wants that bond 😍
None of your vids have popped up for me SINCE HE WAS WITH HIS DAM. ADHD and YT have wronged me!! I was actually looking for public domain images for paintings and for some reason, your website popped up deeeep into my Googling. Anyway, something seems different in you and I can't put a finger on it. This sesh just seems so effortless and like you are right where you are meant to be. Proud of you after looking through what you've been through and up to. Your drive and resilience are superhero tier.
Thank you so much! This is so kind of you 💕
Me waiting for the abuse, and starting to early, and if and when your riding him comments😂
He is such a lovely young stallion! You're doing a great job
no way it's been that long... i've been hear way before he's been born and it's amazing to see him grow i can't wait to see him winning in the ring if you show him!
Okay but, let’s take a minute to appreciate the pure beauty of these two!!!
This is so amazing I love this video and he is a star!! Well trained :) Thank you for not being pushy and actually listening to the horse
Great work!
l love how you don't just toss it all on there and just cinch him up like many do.
I love how you just calmly step by step get him used to it.
Sometimes he looks so big and grown and sometimes he looks like the big beautiful baby he is!
I love the way you train, when I get to train horses ill definitely try to use the methods you do
Banksy is such a trooper! 😍
I just can’t believe how be he is and that I’ve been watching your journey for so long.. honestly makes me very emotional lol. Love you guys
Way to go Banksy!!! 💖 💖 💖 Great job preparing him Shelby Dennis!! 💖 💖 Best Regards and Stay Safe Everyone!! From Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
“treat now please.”
he did so well!! he was definitely a little confused at first because it was new but you handled it really well in not rushing him :) also, not to mention how beautiful his body condition is!! he’s a well fed boy (but not too much)
he definitely shows trust in you :)
Very good Shelby excellent nice and slow way to go wish I had been watching your channel sooner so I could have seen all the changes but now I get to go back and catch up almost as good 😁😉🐝
I think bansky is going to be a wonderful horse. Especially with Shelby being his mom.
Terrific job Banksy!! He looks so good and you can certainly see the time spent together made this experience fun instead of scary. I love watching him grow up.
Oh my god, he’s getting so big 🥲
He's such a lovely young man!
Omg i cant believe it i waited sooo long to see all that .. Its magical from the precious horse pregnancy pictures till now *_*
Holy smokes.! I haven’t seen a video of him in quite some time and now I’m flabbergasted at how big he’s gotten. Just WOW!!!
he looks great!!!!!!! you did amazing!
awe he is such a big boy now! Also the one person who dislikes this video is crazy, I see nothing wrong.
He's got his momma's head! Even with different markings, he looks so much like her!
Oooh! Just imagine what his gaits will feel like! Bouncy? Smooth? Rocky?
Love this!
What a good boy! Bansky is a big kid now. You're gonna go far together, I can sense it =)
Love seeing the great foundation you've made with him bring him come out in this video🥇Excited to see more!
LOL, I just read what I wrote...? 🤓
Wonderful vid, Shelby! Oh where does the time go? Seems like just yesterday that Banksy was born.. and I will never forget him running into that fence! ❤ What a fascinating journey you have shared with us.. thankyou..
He looks quite dapper under saddle.
Excellent job you've done with him! He's a beautiful boy.
You’ve done such an amazing job with him. I’ve been watching since before his birth
that is a very happy horse! it's been amazing watching you work with him since he was tiny
Such a nice progression of training! He was so good for you.
I really love how you work with him. And he is so good! ❤
this is how it should be done!! excellent work Shelby. you ARE AMAZING
It is almost funny to see because he was such a rambunctious colt. Now nothing bothers him. Of course he loves training. He gets to be with you and he loves treats. Training = yummies.
Love him! Love y’all!
I've been waiting for you to start him under saddle. He's sooo beautiful!! He's gonna be a great horse for you Shelby. You've done everything right with him.
He’s not being ridden at all this year, just getting used to wearing tack :)
@@Milestone-Equestrianby the time you do climb aboard I don't think you'll have a bit of trouble. He already seems to have a great mind. Sending good vibes!!!
Love it!!! Yaaay you & Banksy = win/win
If all ponys and horses were trained this way what happy equines
Banksy is gettin' thicccc, and he has the cutest face! He's doing so well!!!!
Wow looks great. , BE PROUD SHELBY AND LISA he is so perfect. 😍😍🇦🇺🇦🇺👏👏👏
Banksy has such a pretty face, his eyes are so soft. Love the video!
Omg. I can't believe he's two!
Firstly your way of working with horses is something that I really admire and wish to be able to do w a of my own one day. Secondly, you must have the cutest colt in the world. Big boy banksy ❤
super early he's growing up so fast
omg little bansky isn’t so little anymore😭🥺🥺
Banksy is basically Shelbys son
Absolutely excellent! Will you also be doing an update on his ground driving? I’m curious how you start teaching that since it’s so different from leading or lunging.
Yes, I’ll do another video on that once I have more footage but I also showed how I teach it in the recent video I posted of my pony client being started under saddle
Wow. Times flys huh. He’s turning into such a gorgeous horse. It’s amazing. Shelby, you have done wonders with Banksy, I can’t wait to see the rest of your journey with Banksy. Also, how tall is he? And how tall do you think he will be once he’s fully grown?
He’s about 15.3 now, I think he will probably finish around 16.2/16.3. His growth should start to slow down soon
@@Milestone-Equestrian Awesome!
LOVELY TO SE BANKSY AGAIN,THANKS FOR THE VIDEO SHELBY
Nooooooooo, Banksy with a saddle, is it this time already ?!! I know it’s still a long long way for him to actually be ridden, but in my head, it was just yesterday that the vlog of him being born was uploaded 😅😅😅😅 It may be me being old and sentimental, but time flies way to fast now that I’m over 30 😂😂
Joking aside, he did so so well. Your liberty training is really paying off, wow!
Awwww
What treats do you give him? I cant seem to find anything that I can give a lot of without my standardbred gaining loads of weight. Really like the way you introduced the saddle! Did the same with my mare even though she was technically used to tack because she used to course, but a harness is still different than a saddle. Gives you really nice and quiet horses
Step 5 maintenance grain (it’s in large pieces so takes them longer to chew) + alfalfa pellets
@@Milestone-Equestrian Thank you!!
any advice my horse is fine being trimmed but wont let my farrier shoe him so he has to get sedation to be shod and it will be his first time getting sedation other than being gelded and first time getting shoes also we are worried once it wears off he will be terrified and hurt him self he is very head strong he was in cross ties and pulled back so hard he was sitting down so my farrier recommended sedation. all of my horses are barefoot and would love to keep it that way but he has a big chip off of his front foot.
I would gradually get him used to hammering sounds on his barefeet when you’re picking them up and reward him for any calm behaviours. I also wouldn’t tie him at all during his farrier appointments if he pulls back
@@Milestone-Equestrian ok thanks so much will help out alot!
What treat are you using as a reward and how much can be given in a session i just got a horse he needs some weight put on we are gradually building him up also he has a big problem with his hind feet being touched picked up never mind picking he is only 5 i have only owned him a few days i bought him knowing this problem i want to help him with it so I am working on him with this but I do not want to pump him full of treats ....thank you its so appreciated
Alfalfa pellets and step 5 maintenance grain. You should be good to feed any type of food that’s not high sugar or high fat, but forage based ones are best
@@Milestone-Equestrian thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it also any advice on hind feet my guy is not a fan of picking up his back feet very unsure he strikes out if he feels your going to hold his hind feet for anything we have been trying to work on this with him this is why I was asking about the treats/pellets your using im also a bit nervous throwing a lot his way seeing he needs to put on a lot of weight and needs tlc I'm nervous to over do it but the hind feet are major he needs a trim bad I have only had him a few days any advice is super helpful thank you for taking your time out to answer me he is only 5 green baby lol
He is handsome
Hi Shelby! I am new to your channel, I love what you do! Are all the horses and ponies that you rescue and train going up for adoption? Is that the goal? I haven’t read & seen all of your videos yet.
beautiful Shelby.. but if you bribed me with Heath Bars like you reward Banksy I'd stand till for about a year :)
ah yes, the very uneventful process of saddling a horse for the first time. As it should be
