Praying for you to have more money for food. You are inspiring. God is watching over you, be assured of that. God bless. By the way, maybe you should look into getting food from a food pantry or through a local church.

If it were only my husband and I, we’re set for about 9 months. If our elderly parents needed us, we could sustain everyone for 6 months. I’m hoping to get to the 1 year point but for now, I’m thankful for what we have.

I love your balanced approach and that's what I'm striving for too! You aren't blocking out the news and the possible threats, but are also breaking it down into just what you can manage and doing what you can! Sometimes the anxiety gets the best of me, but there is only so much we as individuals can do, and then we relax knowing we did what we could and leave the rest to God.

I am the exact same way when it comes to being aware, but not letting it consume me. I can't live everyday worrying about things I can't change. It's just too overwhelming. We live a somewhat prepared life to keep our family going and don't worry too much about the things out of our control.

I live in North Yorkshire in the Uk and slowly have built a pantry to last my family of 5 a couple of months. With the world as it is I feel it is important to plan for the worst. As long as the supplies don’t go to waste I think it’s a great thing to to. I have a veggie plot to so looking forward to the growing season ! 😊. The only thing I wish we had was a basement! They aren’t as common here in the UK !

I sincerely want to thank you as I put in my delivery order from our local Kroger’s this morning, as I watched you shop I had forgotten a few things you picked up!! So I had to amend my order! We are 10 miles from our main shopping area and they have extended deliveries out this far!! Blessings for a disabled lady of age!!
I saw the picture of Kodie’s celebratory table full of friends and food! It looked like a fun time was being had by all!!

I always like to have a stocked pantry and freezers it has very little prepared food as it's healthier AND cheaper to prep your own. Having just done a 2 month pantry challenge with my friend it was deeply comforting to have easily done it while eating well!!! For me a stocked pantry is a blessing ❤️❤️ Love from the UK x

Northern Indiana. I don’t worry but I am prepared. Just my husband and I could last about a year on what we have stored and what we would grow in the garden. However, we have 2 adult sons with their family’s that we have put extra away for them and our grandchildren. We have been helping them learn new skills and establish their own homesteads. Garden, chickens, etc.

It is a very good feeling knowing we have a well stocked pantry. It's been in the making for a few years now. We have a good 2 year supply of dry and canned goods including pressure canned meats, poultry and ham, veggies and fruit. Same with toilet paper and hygiene supplies. There are only three of us but we have family members who are not on board with the idea of longterm storage so we keep adding a little more each time just in case. You are certainly on the right track. Keep up the good work! We should all be bracing ourselves for a financial collaspe or the next Great Depression. Many blessing to you and your family.

My husband and I made this promise to always have a 1-year supply of food. Then we asked ourselves "how in the world are we going to do it?". I took a cue from my grandparents who fed 11 of their children, plus other family members, through the depression. Granted, my grandparents had a farm, but if they didn't raise it or grow it, they didn't eat. We are in the 'burbs but our entire back yard is a garden. We take advantage of local farmer's markets to get the extra produce we need and the meat we can't raise. Then we come home and can, freeze and dehydrate. We also shop Costco and local discount grocers for canned goods and grains. It has taken us over 8 years to meet this goal. It was hard at times, but SO worth the work. We did a little when we could, and it turned into a lot. I have peace with our pantry. Recently, our pantry has been able to bless family that were going through health issues and could not work. This is the REAL reason we do it.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS and ALL who watch your videos.

My husband has always been an eat to live person. He doesn't eat cheese, Italian(no garlic), very few spices. He eats chicken and very little beef. I have had gastric by-pass and was a real foodie. I do think about the food because lots of times the shelves are pretty bare. I am a Christian and everyday I tell myself God is in control and I ask Him to take care of my kids and grandkids.

I buy things on sale, and also have “ cheap” meals when needed in an emergency. That being said I do not panic or worry for several reasons. 1.. God said he would supply all my NEEDS according to His riches in Glory.. 2… in the book of psalms David said he has never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread. I trust God’s promises 💕

We live in Kentucky and we’ve been worried actually for a while. Since early January, the prices of everything ,it seems, jumped drastically. I mean we have six in our home and I shop for us once a month, it’s a very tight budget. I really just don’t like going to the store anymore because the prices have yet to stabilize, they continue to rise, and that’s where the worry is. Seriously, how are people able to budget for their families when we aren’t sure what the prices will be when we get to the store?? That’s the uncertainty and the stress and worry and so every month we’re getting less and less food. We will definitely be fishing a lot, that’s at least one way we can try to gain some food security. Anyway, great video Jessica and have a blessed day and wishing Kodie a very happy birthday 🎉🎊

I have to tell you not being dramatic. But I honestly keep having panic attacks when shopping. I have to stop 1/2 way through and just breath. I don’t know if it’s I can’t take the prices so I have not gone back since the last video or if it’s the realization of the prices. Can’t say for sure. But it’s having a real very real devastating effect on people. Thank you for being here anyway.

Just hubby and I (empty nesters); but we are food organized; budget conscious; and mindful of food security. We have 6-8 weeks of sustainable food at most times. I utilize the double up method of cooking and freeze portion size meals (or portions of) i have an organized freezer system and use and replace. I personally think being organized and knowing what you have AND menu planning is most of the battle. I love how organized and thought out you seem to be. I use my crock pot a lot because I work outside the home - it's a great safe item I can leave cooking all day!

I will admit, I am over stocked, but if things go south I will be very happy to help others. My biggest goal would be to help my 4 children and their families. 15 grandchildren is a lot of mouths to feed, but with the slow and steady process of stocking through the years I can truly help my family. Glad you stock but don't panic, that is the best way to do it.

I finally got hubby back on board with bulk shopping with pantry staples to offset inflation. After the craziness of the pandemic we’ll always have a good supply to get us through. I have noticed in our neck of the woods the prices of some things have come down and I’ve used what we’ve had on hand to not have to pay crazy high prices, eggs in particular. Everyone has different circumstances and we all have to do the best we can for our households and loved ones. Bartering has come in handy as well.
