Extra info: Gems meaning minerals that you find in-game during your missions and mine, not any paid currency They're also used for your upgrades but they've recently introduced a new mineral 'phazyonite' that's used specifically for unlocking cosmetic items, so you can opt to use those instead of the upgrade minerals.
Another Extra info: You cannot pay for anything in game with real life cash! Only a few cosmetics DLC that make up less than 5% of the total cosmetic DLC. And they Don’t push you to buy them!

The same good folks that owns the Red Faction ( still waiting for a new entry there ) series for exampe. Its hq is in Sweden too. A mostly AA + Indie and a few AAA kind of union of games. Search it up and correct me if Im wrong
I just want to point here, that the game gets more fun in higher hazards, the satisfaction of huge multi-killings, the frenetic feeling of hit and run, damn. But, note: ur beard might need some gray till there

The grenade launcher is actually pretty bad against single targets, so don’t waste all your ammo on a pradetorian. Save it for groups of weaker enemies
Just wait to you unlock the unstable overclocks Fat Boy for massive aoe or Hyper Propellant for extreme single target dmg. One becomes a nuke the other a makeshift railgun, coil gun
@@odinulveson9101 RJ250 Compound is also great overclock. You have to pair it with the heat mod but it'll one shot a group of grunts like normal, with the added bonus of more ammo and a special power effect

Worth mentioning that all updates are free, and old seasonal updates get merged into the game as some of the random encounters and one of the new missions, industrial sabotage, you may have seen already. And all cosmetics from previous seasons are purely earnable. These Devs are out for my heart. Didn't even mention the server browser making team play more accessible.

It is important to note that while leveling and perks are "unique" to each class, besides your first promotion, at no time are you forced to play a specific class to work on it's weapon and perk unlocks. This is especially notable as once a character hits level 25 and gets access to a promotion assignment, you can change to a character that is not level 25 to do the mission set as a level 25 will no longer get exp until promoted and reset to level 1 (level, nothing else).
The monetization in the game is also a dream. All season pass stuff IS FREE and anything you don't unlock by the end goes in the same loot pool as every other unlock of its type. There are only about six sets of cosmetics you have to pay to unlock, everything else is unlocked in the naturally spawning crates and lost backpacks or part of the current event. Oh and that holiday stuff you missed out on? You will get it free just for logging on next time that holiday rolls around.
DRG's easily the most underrated masterpiece, AND the greatest co-op game of all time. Over 1000 hours later, me and my buddies still play it, all the time. There's also a steady stream of new players coming in every once in a while, and there's honestly nothing like being the great senpai of the deeps and helping these greenbeards to find their footing in the dark caves of Hoxxes. Oh, did I mention that the whole games only 2GB in size, costs barely anything, and came out of the Early Access 3 years ago, yet still gets big content updates each year? AND supports mods + has private servers out of the box, yet zero P2W crap? Yeah, DRG sounds 2good2beTrue, but it's just badass fun.

Tbh the one thing im still surprised by is the fact you dont have to do that much digging. Its mostly cave exploration while when i first got thr game i assumed youd be tunneling and boring much more often.

As far as I know, they recycle old season content as "earnable" cosmetics that can be found in different missions. But their different season are pretty frequent, and any purchasable dlc content is purely cosmetic. These devs are definitely "for the players" type of people, and its amazing.
