Christian should give Sam a bun recipe in game and one day sam should be like "hold on guys FRIDA gave me something to remember them by. I can't move too fast, I have a bun in the oven." And it will be the most confusing thing the group will hear. Or something like that.
I can't help but wonder what Ashton would think of FCG's adventures while they were separated and scattered across Exandria. Just imagine your sibling or friend suddenly going abroad and then when they come back they tell you that in less than a week they meet someone, fall in love, found/reestablish their ties to religion, participated in a bull fight, went white water rafting through a jungle and explored ancient ruins, oh and also met the King and Queen of whatever country they found themselves in. These could be FCG's _walks up in chef whites and tomato sauce_ "No time to explain," stories LMAO
I've never laughed harder than watching matt as Donnie Boy desperately beg to not explode like his friend Jerry, who got murdered for absolutely no reason by 2 feral gnomes! Also you know it's gold when Sam breaks
What is pretty interesting to me is that Deanna did that right after Chet said that they can ride one together. So I kind of took this as her killing Jerry so that there is no out for Chet and they would have to ride together.
@@monosito59The part where his players didn't understand how big they were and he clarified it for them. Communication and theater of the mind is hard that way
This is such classic DM stuff. Trying to desperately communicate to your players just HOW dumb one of their ideas is without actually telling them what to do (and you REALLY don't want to deal with the fallout of this extremly dumb plan) and them hearing exactly nothing of it 🙄😁
It's not just DMing, managing a team is similar in that something that seemed straightforward ends up being imagined very differently by others and nobody checks assumptions until craziness happens 😅
before that desperate statement, i have a part of me that was just imagining the medium sized humanoids just dragging their feet/hooves while riding the goats. hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Man, Matt is just so fucking talented with voices and sounds. How does he keep one upping himself like that? That fish voice was spontaneous but still so damn impressive.
Out of everyone in this group, Matt has the most range with voices. It took me 2 years to realize that he voiced the Fanatic in Destiny 2: Forsaken. And that's only because I'm part of the Covid Catch-Up crew, and heard his Clarota voice. This man, is truly a god
The Campaign Two Aeor connections continue to grow!! So I have been rewatching campaign two, and posted something a while ago on a theory. We know that the Malleus Keys are being used to release Predathos from Ruidus by potentially being the key to opening the divine gate that keeps it in and through them, Ruidus is now locked in place. They are very high tech, very similar to Aeoran tech, and this is where it gets interesting. The city of Aeor was working on a project known as the “Factorum Malleus” or in common the Creator, or God Hammer. It was a weapon to KILL THE GODS and it was the reason why they we’re literally smitted out of the fucking sky. There are not many ways to kill a god and I guarantee that having two of them being connected under naming conventions like that, being that Malleus was apparently a word from the lost Aeoran language has got to be close to none. This only leads me to believe that Aeor was harnessing the power of Predathos with their God Hammer, or something like that. Also, now that we know more about Ludinus, he was connected to the fall of Molaesmyr, which lead to the corruption of the Savalirwood, which is the same thing that was corrupting PARTS OF AEOR. ITS ALL CONNECTED AND ALL COMES BACK TO THE MOON. Aeor was seemingly using its power to try and kill gods, Ludinus, potentially after excavating there, was using similar things from them in Molaesmyr and that lead to its destruction and corruption and now we’re here! Sorry, I know this is a ramble and paraphrasing my old comment with new info, but this makes me so unbelievably excited!
no this is a perfect comment! it arranges all the information we know in a really good and easily digestible way, especially for people who haven’t watched all of campaign two or calamity (like me)! i’m so curious to see what team uthodurn finds in molaesmyr, i feel like it’s gonna be a second moon prison moment
Just a thought - Maybe Predathos is tethered to Ruidus like the Nonagon was tethered to the creepy city on the astral plane. Which means that BH might end up having to work together with other members of the MN in order to dismantle Ludinus' plan.
Marisha may not have won the fight but she went the whole distance and stayed on her feet which in a debut fight is incredibly impressive, we all love her and we're super proud of her
After seeing Marishas sparring sessions, the fight went exactly how I expected. Marisha was very good, fighting a bigger, stronger, more experienced, and more aggressive fighter. Marisha was a more skilled boxer that night, but the skill gap didn't make up for her disadvantages. Both fighters performed admirably.
@@havenomouthMarisha was not a more skilled boxer on the night. She was leaning her head away every time a punch was thrown and was holding her arms out rather than keeping her guard up - she panicked. Understandable, but let's not give into hyperbole. She'll be better next year if she does it again as long as she practices getting punched in the face more.
Though about it but there is a way for it to make sense for FCG to think this. Aero was a floating city, so he'd have programming to think there is an edge so he didn't end up falling off.
Fearne singing the creepiest song ever to communicate that she has no clue where she’s going is fucking hilarious. By far my favourite Critical Role pc

He also played a spellcaster in Pathfinder where Giants are Humanoid (Giants), which in many ways make more sense than humanoids above a certain size being a new type.

Well to be fair not a lot interact with creature type, and bards don’t get (usually pick) a lot of them. Or get into situations where they are important.
if Fearne's conversation with the Fishy Mori ever gets animated, I'd like to see it twice - first just from the others perspective and then the the actual conversation. It's such an entertaining thought that the first few minutes is just Fearne with her head stuck in the water and you can clearly see the bubbles from having a conversation with something and then coming up to ask what was it she was supposed to find intel on. I love her so much!
There ain't nothing more peak D&D than Fearne talking to a fish to get information about where they're going and then told by said fish that there's an even bigger monster on the way lol
So like y'know how there are compilations of Jester's sending message? There needs to be comps of Fearne's speak with animals spell, every time it's gold!
The way poor Donnie Boy has been absolutrely TRAUMATIZED. First being MILKED by Fearne, multiple times, then watching his buddy being slaughtered in FRONT OF HIS EYES then to be abandoned as well!! I cant even 🤣🤣🤣
Same, I've been loving the longer-term guest characters, so we really get to know them. But I miss Orym and Ashton so much. I can't wait to see what that side is up too.
0:20 Marisha might not have won, but she fought someone with an entire fight (including training) of experience. And she went the distance! And showed so much freaking heart! Marisha and Haley really had fight of the night, in my opinion. They both did a fantastic job and helped raise a lot of money. Marisha has played a Monk, but she proved she's definitely a fighter. I hope she knows how happy and proud we are for her!
If she can take hits like that after 6 months of training, the other fighters should be very worried what she can do with a whole 'nother year. She's gonna be unstoppable.
Fight of the night? You guys are unbelievable. You really can't just give a sensible balanced opinion, you have to exaggerate everything. It was one of the worst fights of the night because of the lack of technique on show, and also the most one sided fight. Marisha tried to tie up her opponent more times than she tried to punch her, even several times being broken apart by the ref and immediately ducking down to grab her round the waist again. If she's happy with just surviving thats enough for me and it should be for you, you don't need to make out like she put in some incredible display of boxing skill and for the love of god don't start hyping her up for next year because it'll probably lead to another embarrassing situation like the one we just saw.
1:29:56 I had to watch this whole "He exploded 😨" section again to focus on Sam losing his sh*t 😂😂 I love it when he laughs so hard there's just little squeaks that come out. Like in the Grog oneshot when Trinket "died" 😂😂
EXACTLY! This 1000000%. Watching Sam lose his shit is one of the greatest things in the world. Pretty sure when Jerry was talking about his friend exploding Sam was on the verge of tears lmfao
I love how their solution to the "we have too many goats" problem was "we shall bring the same number of goats in terms of physical mass, but one of them is now just a pile of wool and a stack of meat."
It's when you put the two together - that's what breaks you, and I bet that's what broke Travis XD Goat milk next to that is pretty chill. Besides - there was Fearne goat milk joke last episode, so this wouldn't have come as a shock ; P Have a great day!
Let's just give a round of applause to Sam Riegel Yes we've seen our favorite heros connect with their gods, but I think Letter's pure soul shined. I've been waiting for them to do this & they didn't ask for favor just confirmation that she was there, that she was REALLY watching out for them. Thanked her and (just like FRIDA said) asked if she needed they're help. I guess it's hard to admit it as a Goddess but she is Change and gave her a little peek maybe of some of the others? Either way it was a beautiful moment and I was touched so deeply.. I cried & got the chills
Headcannon. Orym is Fearne’s anchor. The way that Fearne nervously asked Imogen if she was gonna dream walk to check for Laudna kinda made me think, she’s desperate to find Orym. The same way that Orym died and she revived him by saying,” Please come back, it’s getting really scary here”
Agreed. I saw a comment on another episode a while ago that was pointing out how Orym seems to be Fearne’s moral compass, as she is fae and doesn’t really have one of her own, at least not one that would be acceptable in Exandria. But she knows Orym is generally considered good by people around them, so she looks to Orym for the “right thing to do”. He helps her know how to respond to situations, and since he’s not here right now, she has no idea what to do, and that’s terrifying
I absolutely love Molaesmyr in all its cursed, crumbled and reclaimed glory! Matt's description of it is so vivid, in that it's not just an old decrepit pile of rocks, but a place that was once lived in and breathing. The mention of the figure walking just out of sight gave me goosebumps, as well as the multitude of ancient bones being twisted within the brambles and vines.
Congrats on being Ganondorph in Tears of The Kingdom Matt Mercer. I'm sure you're going to be awesome as one of the most Iconic Villains in gaming. So so excited to play the game.
Oh my god I laughed so hard at that goat scene the screaming the harvesting the "what happened to Jerry" best chaos since the immovable rod and the golems scene
@@jeepersmcgee3466 it was the heist episode they where low on spells and where trying to race other teams to find an object that was between two golems knowing they where low on spells they chose to take the item and leave but they left an immovable rod and the other team locked them in the room hoping they would get killed it causes Travis to scream at matt "NO MATT!!! you can't do that we're in here!" Honestly this felt like one of the worst roleplay scenes I've seen in CR. A highly anxious life cleric just slaughters a giant goat whom she's been riding and bonding with for days, with no thought or discussion? Then later enjoys being covered in blood? The cast making joke roleplay actions like that is great, it's not great when it's done for real.
“We’re gonna stay and eat Jerry” is my favorite TTRPG line I’ve ever heard. And that’s not an exaggeration. I laughed so hard I choked on an ice cube. Donny Boy has me making real life death saves.
Holy crap this episode is SO GOOD. "This can't be the worst thing you've seen, your dreams are bad!" will be one of my all time favorite critical role lines lol.

Misophonia timestamps! There's a plate of Eshteross' famous cookies at the table this episode. He was actually giving the goats a much-needed swim around the boat to prevent their muscles from dystrophy. So, can goats swim? The answer is they're great swimmers and have been known to swim long distances and even across seas to populate on close neighbouring islands.18 Mar 2020
Fearne and the magic catfish was one of the moments that made me laugh the most so far. Matt’s delivery and Ashley’s commitment are stellar when it comes to wild bits like this!

2:35:34 Correction to the subtitles... Matt is singing the Ultros battle theme ("Grand Finale") from Final Fantasy VI; not the Atreus theme from God of War Ragnarök. In FF6, Ultros is a giant tentacle monster that you initially fight while traveling down a river on a raft.

Holy shit insane good theory
Holy shit you may be onto something
no this is a perfect comment! it arranges all the information we know in a really good and easily digestible way, especially for people who haven’t watched all of campaign two or calamity (like me)! i’m so curious to see what team uthodurn finds in molaesmyr, i feel like it’s gonna be a second moon prison moment
such a good comment, I was thinking about this earlier and you've said it perfectly!
Understandable, but let's not give into hyperbole. if Fearne's conversation with the Fishy Mori ever gets animated, I'd like to see it twice - first just from the others perspective and then the the actual conversation.
Between the goat floating and the crocodile flipping the googling of animal facts and proceeding to apply them is a new favourite trope

The cast: WHAT are you EVEN talking about??!?!?!?
He was actually giving the goats a much-needed swim around the boat to prevent their muscles from dystrophy. So, can goats swim? The answer is they're great swimmers and have been known to swim long distances and even across seas to populate on close neighbouring islands.18 Mar 2020
Fearne and the magic catfish was one of the moments that made me laugh the most so far. Matt’s delivery and Ashley’s commitment are stellar when it comes to wild bits like this!
35:06 The frost giants speak broken hungarian? lol. It sounds like Matt sais ,,KI volt az?, Ki volt az?"(Who was that?) when the giant gets picked up by telekinesis.
The constant Galaxy quest “I have one job. It may be stupid” from Ashley kills me.
Matt writing down something after FCG interprets the world being flat based off his description of a God.
Sam Reigel went from scanlan the horn dog to “I just want them to be happy, healthy and warm at night”. That’s character growth
watching this live was a WILD experience matty as donnie boy “i don’t wanna explode” was fucking hysterical
You didn't watch anything live, their episodes are pre-recorded now, but good on you for believing.
@@murasasme semantics dude, they watched "live" on Thursday night when the ep aired
@@murasasme i meant like when it was streamed on thursday i know it’s not live live i was enjoying the live chat and twitter reactions
@@murasasme no need to be passive aggressive towards OP you could've just said everything is prerecorded now without the attitude
@@drayjustdray2181 not live, just on schedule, like TV 📺
2:35:34 Correction to the subtitles... Matt is singing the Ultros battle theme ("Grand Finale") from Final Fantasy VI; not the Atreus theme from God of War Ragnarök. In FF6, Ultros is a giant tentacle monster that you initially fight while traveling down a river on a raft.
