Oh Kim that turned out so cute. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friend.
This is awesome, I'm going to try making one. I think I will cut out a plastic disk and try painting it the color of the rope and then hang it on my covered patio. That way it will have a bottom when viewed from below. Of course, once you have a bottom, you could put the rope on that as well. To give it a straight bottom without sagging. Thank you for sharing this video with us! I'm all about the honey bees, as I'm a beekeeper and love all things related!
This is so cute and creative! I have seen these made and glued to inverted flower pots..but this is so much easier, I think. Now I have to make one! The tutorial was great by the way..thank you!
Ty so much. Your son is a doll. Loved project. You did great as a teacher. I'm new at this and ty once again. Loved it so much. Blessings to you and family. DIDI, 76, FROM SF CALIFORNIA.
Kim Thank You ! How BRILLANT! You made it look so simple ! I certainly will give this a try. My husband purchased one for me afew years ago . I Love it but need I say I will not place it outside. Due to the expense. This I wouldn't mind and these look more sturdy. Great tutorial.! Continue the great work. You have a pleasant voice. Lovely to listen to and make us think we can do it! Lol Thank You sincerely for sharing this great DIY! Spring is here and we are truely ready in Indiana. I'm a new Subscriber but I've enjoyed watching many of your videos. ty once more.
Carolyn Haskett you are so sweet!!! I am glad you enjoyed it and thanks for subscribing! you can definitely make one, they are pretty easy!!! thanks for watching!❤️😊
Gracias por la temática tradicional Silvestre dé los panales. Somos apicultores dé Guatemala y agradecemos que le den la importancia a éstos animalitos que dé ellos depende la vida humana gracias
Loved your tutorial! You came across as confident in what you were doing which encourages me that I too can do it. Thanks for keeping it real and sharing your tips with us. Hugs, A
You did great with your tutorial! Our neighborhood pool just opened today but I bet the water is still cold. I have a pool as well but I need to vacuum it. I even have a solar heater for it on the roof but something came loose in September not long after we moved here and I need to try to find someone who will go up there an glue whatever pipe came apart back together.
I think I'm going to have to try to make me one of these! Like I told you the other day, I do have a few of the honey pots, nothing like your collection, but I loved the way yours looked in your latest foyer tour!
Hey fellow South Carolinian...so glad I stumbled onto your video. Where about in South Carolina do you live? I can't wait to make one of these. You made it look so easy and gave some great tips. I too, will cut my rope into pieces. Looked like a better way to manage the rope. How did you decorate your home with them? Loved the bees too!! Super natural job on the video!!
Audrey Young, I believe the use of hot glue for this project is the best. The hot glue adheres the rope to itself very fast. This project would be difficult to make if using any other glue. This way, you can pick it up, turn it upside down and whatever you need to do because it dries that fast. Using other types of glue would mean that you basically couldn't touch it at all until it was fully dried (hours) or it would just fall apart. When I use my hot glue gun, I wear thinner, flexible, rubber gloves so as to not burn myself because I can be a clutz when working with intricate designs. If someone else knows of another glue that dries as fast as hot glue, I'd love to get the info on it. :-)
Use large Easter eggs as the form, but it needs a way to prevent the glue from sticking, mine was a bit more sloppy when gluing, and the first one I had to rip it off the egg, redo gluing, and then the glue got even worse, lol. The size depends on how big an egg you can find.
Hey there Kim...I love these!! And you did a great job girlfriend--it is *not* easy to figure out camera angles, and manipulate whatever you're making so that it is in the shot...not to mention our heads and those darn earrings...haha...I can SO relate to that!! Fantastic tutorial sweet lady!
This was a great video! I craft just like you...I never measure anything. But that makes it one of a kind and if I wanted perfect, I could buy one, and where's the fun in that!
Thank you Kim great job and you did AWSOME explaining everything I can't wait to make these I'll let ya know and I'll post mine on Instagram and credit you for this fun idea love it
Linda Novitske mine are on my porches and are fine, but not sure how they would be all the way outside. There is a spray that you can buy called Never Wet that is supposed to help with keeping things water resistant, but I have never tried it before.
Somethings are just not for decoration and I think this is one of them. I used to work for an old man bee keeper and I had to keep a safety distances from them.
Wondered if you could hot glue a circle of cardboard up inside of the skep to help it keep it's shape? Knowing my guys, they are like bulls in a china cabinet and that thing would be smashed flat if there wasn't something inside to help keep it shapely.

I too am from SC...Greenville.
Just a suggestion. What if you glued the rope to a paper mache cone. Might be a little easier. It’s very cute nice deco for outside. Love ur video
I ❤ your DIY 🐝 skep!! I'm going to try to make one. it's so adorable. Thank you for sharing. 👍 great job. You did awesome on your tutorial. 😊🐝

Awesome bee hives-tfs👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌺🌸👍🏽

LORI MARKMAN glad you like it!!! tfw!🐝😊❤️
You did an excellent job , need to make a set ! 👍❤️👍
I love this but hot glue not really sure about use of it because of heat. I wonder if you can use something else other than hot glue?

Dim watching you right now ... I love the realness;) when your earring fell off ... Same reaction I would have had! Lol
Daveda Lane lol!!! you have to just roll with it sometimes!!!
Use large Easter eggs as the form, but it needs a way to prevent the glue from sticking, mine was a bit more sloppy when gluing, and the first one I had to rip it off the egg, redo gluing, and then the glue got even worse, lol. The size depends on how big an egg you can find.
Adorable! Thank you for the tutorial!

Linda Novitske mine are on my porches and are fine, but not sure how they would be all the way outside. There is a spray that you can buy called Never Wet that is supposed to help with keeping things water resistant, but I have never tried it before.

Wondered if you could hot glue a circle of cardboard up inside of the skep to help it keep it's shape? Knowing my guys, they are like bulls in a china cabinet and that thing would be smashed flat if there wasn't something inside to help keep it shapely.
You could take a bleach bottle and cut the bottom off and use that as a form! Hope that helps!
