Cushman Truckster Ignition

Short video on how to wire up a cushman OMC truckster ignition.
You will need one resister/ballast, two coils (or one onan coil with 2 spark plug wires). Run a wire from the key to any side of the resistor, should have 12 volts when the key is in the On position. Run a wire from the other terminal of the resistor to the positive side of a coil, and on the negative side run that to the positive side of the second coil. From the negative side of the second coil, run that straight to the Points/Distributor. If you have a Ford "Fender mount" solenoid, It has a "I" & "S", the S terminal can go to the positive side of a coil for starting. Or run a switch that jumps the power across the terminal when on, for starting ONLY! If the coils or points are always ran on 12 volts, the points will melt. Hope this helps anyone!
