Troy Metzger absolutely wrong in saying tips dont change sound. If i have a pinched tip the sound is going to have to push through a smaller space and be deeper then if you put a wide circle on it the end of the pipe

That's not how this works. Exhaust systems are very similar to basic wind instruments. The sound of the instrument does not come from your breath, but how its shape interacts with sound waves. They both serve the same function, just used for different intended results.
