The purist’s place is on their own garage. I can honestly say that I’m ok with mods that I don’t agree with…especially if the owner loves it. I like to see passion and happiness.

Same. I love it. There is a guy that has a red and white c7. It’s pretty hard on the eyes but man. That guy loves that car and has the biggest smile when I see him in it. It’s an inspiration!

    It’s an open canvas. It’s not a collector car.. it’s a toy..
I bought a C5 for all the same reasons. Doing rims, tint, stereo, exhaust, seats. And a LS platform to fiddle with when I want more hp. It will never be a collector car. But it’s mine.
I like the stripe. Wet sand and clear coat.. it’ll look great.

Love it! I purchased a 92 with 95,000 on the clock. It was treated ok in her previous life. So I understand correcting the sins of previous owners.

I feel like people say that because they only know how to work on their car at the dealer. I walked back out the door when my local dealer couldn't tell me the cost of an oil change until the work was done. lol. I was like. you know how much is going to go in... why can't you tell me the price before I let you put the car on the lift? The response was probably the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. " We won't be able to price it right because we charge by the current price of the oil. I laughed and walked out.

@@QCLT4Guy you are correct. I have 14 years of dealership experience. I worked both Lincoln/ Mercury and Toyota dealerships. I have a few years of service advisor years under my belt. Most say that because the tech does all the foot work. Gets the estimate. Most advisors just sell the job.

That I am aware of. The I wish I had gotten a set of LT1 gaskets so I could have shown the difference when I installed them.

By hand. It takes a lot of effort, but it is something I do with all of my cars. I HATE working on a greasy, dirty car.
