1986 4.9 F150 Carburetor replacement

The new carb, running, after a few simple adjustments.
I JUST learned, if you select "safe for kids", UA-cam turns off the comments. Really?
So I had to change this to "not safe for kids" (even though it is), just to allow comments.
Sorry, I JUST found this out.

I have a 1986 also, Can you give me some info on the one you have because I know that will work for mine and I am having problems finding the exact same one on amazon that you installed. Thanks

Hey Darrin, I have been VERY happy with the replacement carb (except for the air cleaner screw threads. Fix that BEFORE you install the carb!)

@@EhWassAmattaU I saw some that look the same but say it fit only an 85 f150… looking for one for my father in law truck

@@jomi1413 I don't know what an 85 4.9 manifold/throttle cable looks like. The one I got doesn't have all of the smog solonoids and "add ons" that Ford put on the subsequent years "trying" to reduce restricted emissions. I just wanted a carb, engine and exhaust (with really basic ignition). It worked.
