- May Eve is the start of Beltane, that wonderful Witch sabbat and it is also known as the Devil's Birthday. There are many legends and traditions that go with this date, and here I unpick the details and throw light on why and how they are performed..
It is my favourite date of the wheel of the year and I love the fact that it is filled with excitement and thrills. Should you want to join in, simply follow these easy steps and the path of the traditional witch.

I went to camp one time when I was 13. Girls tried to bully me and scare me by putting a toad in my sleeping bag. Their faces when I happily picked the toad up and let it go. 😂

and all !! But on Beltane I light the candles, watch the celebration in Edinburgh
and very much reflect on the Old Ways. Blessed Beltane, my Lady.

It is definitely my favourite time of year. In Wales we call it Calan Haf which basically means the first day of Summer. My cottage garden is on the side of a mountain so I like to have a bonfire in my garden and commune with the Tylwyth Teg (The Fair Folk) XXX

May Eve might be a good day for me to connect with my spirit guide. I tried once before while trying your advice from previous videos. I couldn't concentrate so I cleared the circle and unraveled the spell. Luckily, I asked my pendulum and no repercussions would happen. But- if the veil will be thin, then I will try and meet my spirit guide. Thanks for the idea Ginny! 💛

My guess would be plot out on a map the locations of spots said to have haunted houses and paranormal activity and it would correspond to the ley lines..just a hunch tho

aww I saw a toad in my backyard the other day, I put him in a bowl of water and took him to the creek.
Once a toad jumped into our "circle" while working late at night in the woods.we took it as a gift not a guest.

As a solitary I would always do some form of purification - part of your preparations for any rituals - (and fun.)

I googled this to try and find more info. It seems like most folks declare Halloween as the Devil's birthday. Where does the folklore of May Eve as the Devil's birthday come from?
This is English folklore - there is a lot of evidence that the Germanic
People also knew this to be so - but as with all folklore - nobody knows

Huh, I always felt drawn to toads. Ever since childhood. Wonder what it means. They love to eatcat food by the way. You can leave some by your door for them.
