Anker makes good stuff. I've tried several hubs with my XPS laptop but being able to put power through them has been problematic, this one may do the job.

Got the same model. It heats up but from what I read it's normal.
Also, macbooks only output this as 4k 30hz. If you select 1080p 60hz HIDPI its blurry and it doesn't activate retina scaling.

Can you use 1080p 120hz? I'm wanting to buy a monitor that is 1080p 120hz, and want to buy this to hook it up with my macbook m1 air

@@DeepBlue-tz1sp 60hz is the maximum refresh rate for 1080p (non-hidpi). If you want to output 120hz you need to buy a proper dock that costs about $200.
Edit: or just buy a thunderbolt monitor with power delivery. That way, you can eliminate the need to use a dock.

@@jonathanpaulpano I asked the anker332 seller on aliexpress (taobao), and he said 1080p 120hz is supported.
Furthermore, the internet also says 4k 30hz is downscalable to 1080p 120hz. I'm not saying you're right, but are you sure it won't support it?

@jonathanpaulpano of course, it's possible you're right, because I asked the seller of a similar hub (by ugreen) before, and that seller had no clue. Seller said I must purchase the 4k 60hz hub, and then changed his mind and said the 4k 30hz one will work too 😂

@@jonathanpaulpano did you try outputting 120hz with 1080p, or 4k?
      Because 1080p 120hz requires less bandwith than 4k 60hz and 4k 120hz

Yes. I’m running a Belkin hub out of the Anker from which I’m running two external drives simultaneously. My laptop only has two USB-C ports. The Anker is going to one of those, and the other has my Apollo interface. My power cable goes into the Anker PD port, and the Belkin plugs in to the other USB-C port. From the Belkin (4 USB-C ports only) I’m running a T7 and a WD 2TB external hard drives. They’re both USB-C with thunderbolt cables, but if the Anker is running those with no issues, it should run your USB-A drives (at least one of them). Try picking up a second hub with faster ports and plug it in to the Anker. That’s what I did. Hope that helps. 🙏🏼
