The king of UA-cam guitar, it never fails. Marty has every random song i look for, and when i look for a song I immediately look for Marty because he's the best
My favorite from Sheryl! Always awesome to see lessons from you man! getting from e to c in tempo is so much harder than c to D - - perfect chord practice!
I keep getting adds saying I should watch guitar lessons on yt. Dang watch you was the best discussion I’ve ever made! I’ve learned so much from you ty so much!
This song doesn't get enough credit for all the funky chords in there and it still being a top 10 pop hit. Another banger hit with weird chords is Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots. Check out the descending chords in the verse, so weird and cool. Also, that slide or Dobro in the song is sweet corn
Hey Marty! Could you please do a lesson on ac/cd's overdose. I can't find any good lessons and I know you have the best lessons on this site. So if you could that would be awesome!
Great work and easy to follow as usual, chap. You mentioned "jazzing up" the A7 & Bb7 chords in the vid, which reminded me of something. Is it possible for you to do some "beginner" jazz guitar vids? Specifically playing leads over jazz chord voicings. Thoughts appreciated!
Hey Marty! Thank you for all you do brother!! Hey I have a request and I know you are one of the few that actually take these requests into consideration for future lessons and I know we all really appreciate that! Its one of the many reasons you are as successful as you are...but anyways, my request is a lesson on the son "Jane Says" by Janes Addiction. I can't find anything if you already did this one. Keep up the great work you do brother!!
Yo man! Thabks for the great lesson, as always. I know it may not be for starters but can you teach how to do the strumming and tap palm stuff...I,m having a hard time figuring this out on hot to play the way u do.
Jerry Garcia played a Takamine for years, I know of a acoustic electric for sale, I know it's from the seventies and my guitar dealer says pro musician's loved that the electronics were rugged and seemed to never fail. Jerry loved them , maybe a lesson on Peggy O, would be appreciated, thanks for all your hard work and your Dedicated, Thanks dude.
Here’s a question : I watched Sheryl play this song on the Howard Stern Show and the camera had great shots of her guitar playing. She was playing a C7 chord and sliding up two frets to the D7 instead of going from the cowboy chords of C to D Major. Besides it being easier to transition, why choose C7 to D7 instead of C Major to D Major? Just curious and trying to learn.
@@JohnNesbit1957 Do you happen to know what strings/frets she does for that intro? I've replayed it a bunch of times but I'm still too novice to figure it out, including if she has a finger down just to mute.
@@fuzbcuz7613 ua-cam.com/video/5HBeD2T7p9E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheHowardSternShow She is playing it on the 8th and 9th, ad 10th frets. with two fingers. Marty Schwartz also gives a little tutorial near the end of his lesson on this song, for that particular rift as well.
Once again great video, Have you ever heard of Status Quo? Well!.. I'd love to learn the intro to one of their early songs It's called (Railroad) from the "Dog of two Head album" 1971 Anyway... keep the great videos coming 🤘
Hello marty can you please do a tutorial vid for simply by sara hickman. I noticed that there is no tutorial for that here in youtube.. this will help many people especially me. Please help us learn the song. Thanks. more powers and thank you for being a great teacher.
Getting in at the 6th comment. Dude Marty all I gotta say is you are the tits man. Taught me so much. Don't think I'd be playing right now if it wasn't for you. Many thanks and just appreciate you man!!
has anyone already tabbed this out? Is this right: E - C - D - E - C - B7 - E - A7 barre/ A#Barre (or A9) ? Ok, please correct me if it is wrong and thanks!
I would love to see a sun kil moon lesson on "carry me Ohio" It's finger picking but not super hard and It's a classic but I can't seem to get it on my own and I think there are a lot. of people who love that particular song.
Not basic enough for beginners. You don’t show us how to strum, you don’t take the time to show the notes after the first couple stanzas ( would be nice if you included diagram next to your head). Frustrating because I really wanted to learn this song.

I also saw this same thing on that video. It is an easy transition and makes a lot of practical sense. Also, her intro is slightly different as well.
