Great show Jason. Really enjoyed the rough shooting section, nothing better than heading out with dog for an hour or two and getting a pheasant for the table.
Great show mate. It was great meeting you at the shooting show. Keep it up. Loved the bit when you showed the kit you used. Stuff like that really helps a novice like me👏
Sadly a lot of wildlife habitat has disappeared on irish farms in recent years due to the expanding national dairy herd. Here in the South East of ireland , walked up pheasant shooting is a thing of the past on the farms i used to hunt
Great show Jason. I would love to attend one of the Shooting Shows over there but its a long swim from Canada. Nice muntjac though. Thanks for the show.
Great video as usual. Got myself all certified and shot my first deer this season, so next is to get a pheasant next season. Any advice on a nice game/walk up gun. Think the clay gun is a bit heavy for long walks haha.
Patrick B682 well done Patrick! You could do a lot worse than the Benelli Matt is using in this film. I’ve really fallen for this gun. The range of adjustments means it can fit just about anyone. Super light and nice to carry makes it ideal for game shooting.
Great episode as usual Jason. For a total beginner with no experience in deer stalking would you recommend a trip to the UK after a muntjac or cwd for the likes of me or is it prohibitively expensive? Shooting one is one thing but I’d like to learn how to field dress the animal properly, it always looks too easy on any video I see .It’s been in my mind to get into deer shooting for a long time and I had planned on getting a guide to take me out here in Ireland but after talking to you at the Shooting show I learned that estate rifles were not really a thing over here.
kranob1 yes I think going on a few hunts with a guide is a great way to learn and to see if stalking is for you. It doesn’t have to be expensive at all if you go for a doe muntjac hunt. Look up Paul Childerley’s website and give him a shout. I’ve brought guys to him before for their first deer and he makes sure it’s a great experience.
Jason Doyle I have seen his website and saw it was beginners welcome but was worried I’d even be too much of a greenhorn for even that. I just have to bite the bullet and go for it, not getting any younger as they say. Thanks Jason
Excellent show. Liked what you said at the end that every part of the bird is used 👍🏼. Not just the breast. Have come across people who shoot game and don't eat it. Vile and disgusting
Grandad story. ❤️. Lucky guy lovely space there.
Great show Jason. Really enjoyed the rough shooting section, nothing better than heading out with dog for an hour or two and getting a pheasant for the table.
Nice one fieldsportsIreland! Humble rough shooting is always such fun, good honest fun!
Looking forward to next month 👌💪👍👏
Josh Burton thanks Josh. Yes working hard with your dog for a couple of birds is hugely satisfying.
Great show, meet jason at the shooting show and what a treat he was very friendly and a real gentleman
Reub Sales are you sure it was me? Not usually described as a gent 😂. Hope you enjoyed the shooting show and thank you for your kind comment.
Another good show Jason. I envy Matt being able to walk wood and field with a trained dog for such beautiful birds.
reminds me of when I lived in Ireland and joined the local gun club in Foynes , great days . keep up the good work .
Kevin Shepherd thank you. Gun clubs are still going strong here.
Great rough shooting there. Lovely bit of ground he has.
Top work again. Great video Jason!
Nick E thanks Nick.

The guy on the pheasants was great and very entertaining
Awesome, well done.
Got some nice shots Matt 👍
You guys need to get English Setters! Awesome dog for walked up shooting!
Funny how he says not too many woods left in ireland not suprise english cut down most of them
I’m a gamekeeper and I have 2 fox red lab and a cocker spaniel
Exzellent!

Great channel. I've enjoyed every episode. Any plans to do a woodcock episode? We had a great season woodcock hunting in Roscommon this year.
J. Padian yep defo wanna do some woodcock next season. Very tricky to film but we’ll give it a lash.
Great show Jason. I would love to attend one of the Shooting Shows over there but its a long swim from Canada. Nice muntjac though. Thanks for the show.
I love pheasants

Would love to see some lamping with lurcher or some driven foxes in Ireland
Ethan Doran we are going to do some driven foxes with hounds. It will probably be next year.
Brilliant I’ll be looking forward too seeing that episode
Great job again jason, really enjoyed it, question for you, have you ever come across munjtac in Ireland?
Niel McG no I never have but all my hunting is in the mountains. I believe there are a few about. Would be great to see more of them!
Ooh controversial! / Charlie
@@jasondoyle6061 yes it would be nice to have deer shooting all year round, its a long 6 months!!
Great video, thanks for posting. Just wondering what shot size and load do you use for walked up/ rough shooting?
Does anybody have any idea what hoodie he is wearing
What is the brand of cap Jason wearing?
Andy Lawrence it’s from the great guys at The Somerset Hunters. Look them up on Instagram instagram.com/the_somerset_hunters?igshid=1hixvlcy1psur
Jason Doyle thanks Jason I have

kranob1 go for it mate. Paul is one of the good guys. You’ll have a ball and learn a lot. You’ll be able to take the meat home with you as well.
What breed of spaniel is that dog. Class
Kevin Mc Cafferty it’s a cocker. Cracking little thing.
😉👍🏻
Try a cocker or English spaniel labs r retrievers
Good vib.jason

Don't like this always expensive pricey not for working class
Just a reminder that this sport is the reserve of the very very few and privileged. And shooting pheasants beside their feeders isn’t really sporting.
