  • An airline passenger was waiting to board a flight when she received a strange text on her cell phone, “Hey, Ashley! How are you?” Ashley Barno didn't recognize the phone number. Moments later came this text: “You are looking very gorgeous in that gray top today.” Someone was obviously watching her. Ashley says her anxiety grew when the man texting her claimed to work for American Airlines and he was on the same flight she was taking from San Diego to Chicago. #InsideEdition

Some of you want to ask "Why didn't she just block him?" She could have, but then again she was scared and wanted to know who was watching her, who had her information. If she "just blocked him" she never would have been able to figure it out, never would have been able to build a case and sue him for illegally looking at her information. He even knows where she lives. I would be worried if I didn't find out who he was so she did the smart thing. But way to try and act like it's somehow her fault that he obtained her personal information and when she told him to stop he was still persisting. The fact he texted her as an employee of the airlines without telling her who he was and watching her is already grounds for getting fired and extremely inappropriate, so I'm glad she listened to her intuition and kept the conversation going to figure out who he was and let him build a case against himself.

He definitely needs to be held accountable along with the airline if they knew he did this previously and ignored it. He could be potentially dangerous with her personal information and clearly had no sense of personal boundaries. However, it is weird this woman kept texting him back almost as if encouraging his behavior. Maybe she was scared to tell him no and to block him but she shouldn't have encouraged it by texting him so much. If it was me I would have texted how uncomfortable I was with him crossing the lines and then pretended to fall asleep so i wouldnt keep engaging him after telling the fight attendants about him.

Don't engage with someone whom you don't know and don't allow them to send over 100 texts. It can be misleading to the person. I think Ashley you just block.

Maybe she was in cahoots with the guy. Airlines with deep pockets sometime offer generous amounts of cash to settle lawsuits they think they might lose. Pay a couple bucks to file against him then drop the case later to keep up appearances.

@@travisbarnes6132 common sense is out of the door with this situation, a person with common sense wouldn’t look at someone’s luggage information, take their phone number and start texting them. The only reason I can see her entertaining the texts is so the person doesn’t go looking for her once she stops responding since they’re both on the same plane.
When you’re dealing with someone with no common sense or moral judgment it’s dangerous to ignore them since they obviously don’t understand social cues.
