That’s not an ‘emotional parent’- it’s an abuser, who also happens to be a parent. Im sending my love to the daughter, I can’t imagine what this was like for her. She must have been terrified that her father was going to shoot her boyfriend and/or herself. She was madly in love with this young man, & evidently shared no values with racists but carries the burden of shame, feeling she is a representative of her family/father.
May she now be safe and happy, and continuing to heal. No matter what happened between her and her love, I hope they still have a friendship or at least send one another thoughts of love & respect when they think of each other.
How this didn’t end in a triple murder suicide that day is nothing short of miraculous.

It’s not about race. Any boyfriend trying to sex a daughter in the backseat is not good news. Also u can clearly see why the dad didn’t like him- they way he responded. If I’m dating a cops daughter, I’d be like yes sir no sir than u sir. But this kid has attitude issues and no wonder the dad disapproved. Finding the daughter in the BACKSEAT was the last straw. She didn’t go to jail btw. And the boyfriend was let go immediately after finding the daughter. This was a scare tactic to discipline but he shouldn’t do these things while in uniform. A parent sees the opportunity to help their child succeed in life at the risk of the parents' own freedom and next to no harm to anyone else. So many parents would take this opportunity if they had the means to do it. It's not right, it's not honest but it's a sacrifice that I understand you'd make for your child despite not having children myself.
