My brother broke the news to me saying "I don't get it I was just talking to her last night!" we would later learn that she knew she was dying, and spend her final days telling everyone how much they were loved and cared about. The MV Outer Edge which carried the group left without the couple and they where left drifting in that vast stretch of ocean. Due to Dehydration, it brought a state of delirium in both of them which caused them to remove their diving suits. Because of the removed Buoyancy, they would have tired of treading water and drowned. To this day their gear has been found but the bodies haven’t been. They were able to write a message on the divers slate used for communication that read “Monday Jan 26; 1998 08am. To anyone who can help us: We have been abandoned on A[gin]court Reed by MV Outer Edge 25 Jan 1998 3pm. Please help to rescue us before we die. Help!!!”

I have been there.. Writing those final goodbyes. Being 110% okay with dying. It is a peace like no other. Not saying this in a suicidal/depressed way. I mean the contentment of it. I believe it is like some sort of supernatural anesthetic for the ease of transition from one plane to another. I believe whole heartedly in an afterlife just by my own experiences. To be lucky enough to be able to say goodbye is a rare opportunity among the dead and dying. But to live afterward, after making peace with everything. Life will NEVER feel the same.

0:28 something similar happened in Australia in 1998. Tom and Eileen Lonergan were diving with a group in the Coral Sea. Help!!!”
