There is a well mod that gives bonus damage to melee when you pick up arc well, you can stack that with all these too, if all you want is one very strong bonk
@@persleng1536 It will probably reduce survival, I'm trying to build well of ions into the hammer, the problem is you have to sacrifice Supercharged for Prot light duration, to arc affinity, and then also be able to make arc Wells as a solar subclass, without losing more build survivability by using Overcharged Wellmaker. You either lose well of life or the ability to become charged with light, when solo. In a team run a well of ions while you have an arc class teammate, profit from melee god there
Been running this for a bit over a month now, and it is by far the most fun I've gotten from a build. I really like it, and with the new zephyr sword, and cold steel, you can apply stasis effect with focusing lens by yourself. It grants the same damage increase as tractor. However, unlike tractor you can freeze the target for another 3x buff instead of the usual 1,3x with tractor. This is very useful for one-shot scenarios where I believe this last increase can make a difference, like the corrupted boss. With ONLY your own abilities you can do nearly a million damage with one hammer, and barely any set-up.
Considering this to be true with a 3x instead of 1.3, this build is now optimized with Zephyr opening up use of WITHERHOARD!! Very glad I read this, didn't want to run double shotty
@@blacktemplar707 zephyr is more of a one-shot use. since the stasis effect goes away after the first hammer, the debuff disappears. Tractor is still better for those longer bosses
What’s even better than this build is how well you broke everything down and explained it all so well. As a relatively new destiny player who is looking to start diving into actual builds, this was an excellent and much appreciated build video
Only just recently have I started seriously watchin Destiny vids like this explaining builds for optimum damage/survivability. I've been doin things the hard way for so long lmao
btw the main thing i think could be improved about the video since you asked at the end is adding chapters, just makes sifting through the information much easier for viewers, otherwise i really like your explanation style its very thorough and clear
I don't know if it's common knowledge, but the Essence of Rage can be completed in the opening part of the new dungeon even though it says "super kills on the moon" so it's a super easy way to farm for a one-two punch primary shotgun
Been doing this for like 2 months now. Its so much fun and makes the game almost feel like Borderlands at times. Running through Master and Legend Lost Sectors is a breeze
Complimenti per la spiegazione dettagliata! Contenuto perfettamente strutturato e chiaro. Per essere il primo video di questo tipo il lavoro fatto è davvero notevole.
10/10 perfect I think you should start to make more of these videos because no one do it in you way. 100% destiny community will like this practical way of explaining builds
As soon as the video started I loved it, been watching your content for a while on a different account and this kind of content is always a welcome surprise/change.
just tried out this build its SO much fun u feel like a walking tank! i never bothered to get into elemental well builds because i thought charged with light was better but now i realize ive been missing out! thanks for the in-depth guide
Yes! This is the video I was waiting for! I’ve seen many videos of players using this build, but no good explanation of everything. Thanks Saltagreppo! 🙏
Such a great video. I finally made my own build and with about an hour of practice, one phased the Ogre boss on GoA. Melee wellmaker + Well of life feels like a cheat code.
Severance enclosure chest peice is way better than running synthoceps. The chest peice on melee kills sends out a huge explosion killing all enemies nearby so you can literally kill 10+ enemies off one hammer throw and keep spamming it. Instantly get x3 roaring as multiple kills, also run; - melee wellmaker, - striking light, - well of life, - taking charge, - elemental charge, - thermoclastic blooming, - absolution, - recuperation (consistsnt he with orbs as you generate them non stop), -thermoclastic strike, - one two finisher (incase you lose hammer), - focusing lens (if team running stasis this is ridiculous combined with chest peice) If you want run the tractor cannon, and the one-two shotgun as well just so you still get the damage buffs. Sacrificing the little bit of extra damage so you can kill 10+ enemies every hammer throw and x3 instant roaring flames is so much more OP
I disagree, unless you are doing an encounter with no major or bosses I would never do that, and even then I would probably just use Dunes. Obviously though feel free to use what’s best to you!
Thank you for this video Saltagreppo. When I saw you one phase the first boss in Grasp of Avarice, I had no idea how you could throw hammers that close to the boss. Thanks to your video, I now know how it is done. This is an excellent build video since you take the time to explain all aspects of the build.
This video was very informative and helpful! Will definitely recommend this video to friends when teaching this Build. The video is paced very well and even goes the extra mile with Keybind options. This is unlike any other Build creator and is greatly appreciated! I hope that you continue to show us some other builds that you think are both deadly and fun. Looking forward to your next Video!
this actually cleared up a lot of stuff and told me why im dying so quickly since i dont have the most life saving mod .. or im just bad anyway still super useful thanks a bunch!
That’s actually a good idea considering I do use r3 to slide. I also have R2 as my powered melee and circle as my uncharged melee. I haven’t binded my finsher button yet but it’ll probably go with one of the d-pads.
Been running this for a month now since HaterTheOne put his video out. He also altered the build a little yesterday using zephyr and focusing lens to hit the 999,999 cap pretty consistently. Definitely recommend giving it a try!
I was already going to comment b4 you asked for feedback because this was so well done and a great topic. You covered all the little nuances others might have left out but really succinctly. Excellent vid Salt👍 GG's
Thanks for the very detail build and also took the time to explain how to change the hammer throwing! I was also one of those that was like... this build is useless i can't throw this hammer to save my life. Thanks!
Also one of my favorite pairings with this build is to use a blinding grenade launcher. Currently I have an empty vessel with Lead from Gold and disruption break. This helps a lot with ammo management as well as closing the gap on mobs. Also great for getting snipers to leave you alone and is handy to use if you lose your hammer. Also normal melee counts as kinetic so if you do happen to hit something with a solar shield then you gain 50% more damage to your uncharged melee which can be clutch at times.
This was clear and covered all the topics. I'd also suggest talking about the seasonal mod that gives you an orb of light with every mele kill as it's fun to spam super. But that's just a fun thing. A+ mate.
It’s not applicable to future seasons and seeing how much popularity hammers has gotten recently, I would be shocked if bungie didn’t nerf any of the buff stacking involved with this build.
Thank you this answers my question. Im playing on the controller and couldnt figure out why this build didn't work for me. Same with perrogreen greaves
Loved the perspective! I honestly tried hammer a couple times but the small things like 6 seconds with bionic enhancements and utilizing the well of life with melee well maker etc…. Gracias
For my one-two punch builds, on controller, I bind my melee ability and uncharged melee to the same button. It prioritizes charged melee. It doesn’t solve the stomp mechanic, but I’m not at that level yet anyway.
if it helps, I made charged melee RB (but it's bound to a paddle which I press instead, if you have em), and uncharged to right stick click. can quickly stop throwing the hammer and do a regular melee to negate stomps
Sup Saltagreppo, Thanks for going into detail and explaining some of the better ways to optimise key bindings. One of the best videos demonstrating this Titan Melee 1-2 punch Build. Also, for future reference what you done by explaining the mods is great, you provided reasoning and provided options /alternatives to regain your melee by switching quickly to cheast of illupi (I think thats what you said, need to watch agai. ) throw up a barrier and chill for about 8 seconds. Very cool build. Ill send you friend request so we can slay out mate cheers :)

Great guide on this build! I’ve seen you put it to phenomenal use, and I figure it’s time to try it myself. You went over everything perfectly, and I’m glad I’ve had my melee setup like this on console since they changed it. Thank you sir!
this synergises really well with dune marchers just swap exotics around. add clearing, survivabilty and boss dps with just 3 exotics and not even changing weapons you dont even need synthoceps to do insane damage so its still good to run Heart of inmost light and dunes while not doing dps if you dont have heart of inmost light, hollowfire heart is a good alternative
