This is important. This was so hard for me to wrap my head around. Because there’s this idea that narcissists and sociopaths are just cruel and monsters you can just see. But you can’t! They can be so charming, funny, endearing and engaging! And not in an obvious way, but a human way - because they’re still humans at the end of the day.
Ask a narcissist genuinely “ what do you love about me “? And watch how it quickly becomes themselves 😂 , normal ppl wouldn’t make such a intimate personal question about themselves 😂 ask a sociopath that and they’ll probably just laugh
He was outgoing , flirty, fun, dressed well, we were both in nursing, he would hold the doors for me, buy me things (sometimes), other ppl would say or tell me he’s a good guy(all a lie/ act), walk on the outside of the sidewalk to keep me in. charming but once he showed his true self it was horrible but was nice to everyone else & begun to treat me badly. I wish I never met him

I'll say something good about my soon to be ex wife, she learned a lot of things, manicure and pedicure, rent clothes, sell drinks, do eyebrows and lashes, she is in love with beauty, that's why I think she can do good if she stopped her sense of entitlement and being disrespectful to ppl and loyal, and not taking ppl for granted (money wise) she can do great
My narc daughter is VERY talented in that area. I'll be the first to admit it. My whole family is very artistic but everyone uses that talent in a different way. She chose that. Top that off, she is very beautiful so it just fuels everything.
In the begining she was very charming and charismatic easy to be with she was a lot of fun!!! But that all changed quickly as soon as I became involved with her!!! I quickly saw the monster with the morbid jealousy and anger this escalated quickly into a nitemare!!! And look what she is still doing between the voice mails where she love bombing she still stalking me and still trying to get into my Instagram!!! Some people say wow it's hard to believe you went thru all that!!! I my self can't believe it times the things that she has done wow!!! I'm so so DONE
The narcs in my life definitely were creative but this 1 I have in mind, it wasn't in a very deep way. He could draw and play instruments but he clearly learned these things for attention. He always acted like I couldn't love the arts like he did especially music. (It was because I could sing and draw more than 1 style and I didn't let him milk it. I only helped with the set of his "movie". He got jealous when people complimented all my ideas and props. He insulted them but took credit for as many as he could.)
My narcissist baby daddy has officially turned my 13yr. son against me in a manner of 48 hrs. It finally kicked in. Not returning or answering my calls, smart response, not wanting to come to my house. I should have aborted mission when I had a chance. Because he doesn’t deserve my son. There’s nothing good about him because it’s all a façade.
My narc was ugly on the inside and the outside 😂 I saw his real personality and it was trash. BUT he was really tall, talented at his job and can dress well and was good in bed 🤔. That’s about it 😂

So in that case, your, “ goodness “ is void and null around zombies who don’t behave, towards you, in a good manner. So what good is knowing how to love if you can’t use or practice love, in your environment? Look at it that way and then what? Your goodness isn’t good; in fact, your kindness now becomes your weakness. Narcissists/psychopaths, throw a wrench into the workings of, agreed upon societal rules, that alone, makes them not good to allow them to walk amongst us. So in other words, even if you have one, who only abuses their nearest and dearest and maybe, behaves, out in public, at what point does their narcissism act up, even in a small way, that disturbs another citizen?

Iirc abuse by her dad, saying she deserved it. My last ex started trying to use my son, who my previous ex killed, as a weapon in the same manner. Claiming I had intentionally killed him and even so far as to claim I did in ritualistic sacrifice. This concept is absolutely absurd to even fathom. I want to know why they do this? Go to extremes like this, looking for anything they can possibly say that would clearly be hurtful. That's the part I don't get. This seems like a greatly ineffective way to get what they want.

I know a paranoid schizophrenic who has full-blown narcissism and he does not have the sadistic streak to him, like his brother does. Maybe there are factors that mess with how those genes are turned on and left shut off.

That might be Borderline or, “ empath “ empaths are also narcissists, just not full-blown narcissists. These types are usually attracted to each other. Also, these wives ( Ben’s too ) could leave, at any moment, if whatever they negotiated about, gets broken. So alls a narcissist would have to do is not break that requirement. Some of these marriages can last for 35 before one of them wakes up and ends the marriage.
