The Houdini is worth every penny. I bought mine in 2015 and still wear it on a regular basis. Depending how much the wind is blowing, the use is divided between the Houdini and a similar jacket from Arcterix, which has some ventilation in the back. So in any strong winds the Houdini is the first choice
Just ordered one from REI for $73. That seems like exactly what I need for the brisk days this time of year. Thank you for the recommendation! Hopefully it will be here in time for my race next weekend. Going for my first 50 mile finish.
Hey I know this is an old review, I'm thinking of getting a regular houdini for running as well. You mentioned that after running with it for a period of time, the jacket retains sweat. Do you by chance know how long that would be? I just run 30-40 min every other day. Thanks!

Yes! This is a great tool for sure!
Also look at the Patagonia Airshed hoody and the Houdini Air which is more breathable for high output activities. 👍

Awesome Doug. I hope you like it!
Bought one for a friend. Hope he likes it.. In fact, he better.

Would this work as a wind shell for running in the winter? I’d wear a base layer and mid layer for warmth, but need something to cut wind.
Definitely helps cut down the wind. My choice is the Salomon bonnati for extra wind and warmth.
$180 for the Houdini or Houdini Air?
Houdini but this video is pretty old so could be cheaper
