I saw Fleetwood Mac in 2014 I had seat near the front middle stage and when they played Tusk, Christine was playing her accordion and I acted I was playing one too, and I looked at her she and smiled at me. I miss you Christine. Thanks for that memory.❤
Christine was the heart of Fleetwood, such elegance will be missed! Thanks y’all for the great music and memories, with great affection!
cool story
OMG best memory ever😂😮
Hands down, best fantasy girlfriend ever!
Oh, that’s such a sweet memory! RIP Christine ❤
I wish I had been in that concert.
In it or to it if you would have attended you'd have really been into it I promise you that it was such pure magic nothing around you bothered you or distracted you NOTHING
Me too. Lindsey was killing it🎉❤🎉
I was part of the original band that recorded this track at Dodger Stadium in 1979. Later we got to perform this with Fleetwood Mac for several consecutive nights at the Forum. Some of the best experiences of my life. Thank you Fleetwood Mac for choosing the TMB for this number.
That’s a great story
How cool is that?!
My dad "made" me watch this when I was a kid. I still remember how incredible it was. Now, I showed my kids this video and they are equally amazed. Truly a one-of-a-kind performance!
No doubt
Demon s
Ummm…..you do know “Tusk” is a slang for Mick Fleetwood’s penis, right?
My mom made me watch this too
I agree. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and my daughter loves the music from that era. She was blown away when I had her listen to "Locomotive Breath". Great music is timeless.
I thank God that I lived in the time of the best music ever performed.
Agree. First concert I went to was Leonard Skinard. Saw some of the absolute best in my time. These days ain't it.
Il est exceptionnel de voir Christine sortir de ses claviers ( j'ai une viseo de 1978 ou sur *Second and news" elle s'éclate aux percussions
If anyone is making music like this, no one's tell me about it.
Agree
I agree.
This is one version of this song that no matter how loud you play it. It isnt loud enough.

Exactly 💯
My neighbors in the UK would agrue with that!
Indeed!!!
Exactly!
An unusually amazing musical piece, something you could never ignore
I agree... I can't ignore that Buckingham's vocals are flat.
So is the teddies but who's counting
Amazing LB!
...it works though. @@c.a.t.732

I love how deranged Mick Fleetwood looks during The Dance! He’s like a drunken sea captain staying the course. Driving the beat and “this ship” into OBLIVION!
Legendary performance by Fleetwood Mac
Mick .... the inspiration for "Animal" of the Muppets......
Lindsey too. Really channeling his inner Golden God
Absolutely! I love him Mac Fleetwood!!! He's always seemed a little deranged... lol
😂😂😂😂😂
That's the disco dust.
McVie and Fleetwood are the soul, Stevie is the attitude, Lindsey, the brains, and Christine was the heart. R.I.P.
Mick and Fleetwood are the same
@@arthurbrumagem3844 lol. I wanted to say Mac, from McVie. thanks for correcting me.

Well stated!! RIP
And we the ears 😍
Perhaps the single greatest FM concert moment ever captured on film. Part of what makes this performance of "Tusk" so special was the surprise element. Nobody really expected the band to bring the USC Trojans onto that cramped stage, and nobody would've faulted FM for playing along to a marching band backing track (or just doing away with it altogether). The moment when Trojans all came "marching" to the stage during Mick's drum fill was absolutely exhilarating. You could feel the excitement. And you can tell FM is enjoying the Trojans' performance just as much as the audience is.
This song must’ve been incredible to hear live! Those drums are absolute killer!
It was. We saw the Dance tour in Manassas, VA and they had a local marching band there. It was amazing live.
It sounded like a swarm of bees. 😒

RIP Christine. You were a class act and super talented musician.
The very best.
So sad! She was so talented..
One of the best ever!
I heartily agree with that sentiment.
Liar
Wow, what an experience for that marching band. Something they can tell their kids and grand kids.
The USc, University of Southern California, marching Trojans.
More than 2 generations of Marching Trojans have had that memorable experience.
@@steelblue58 👍
I imagine so. There are few things as visceral as massed drums. And this is one of the best.
Everything about this song and each band members instruments just shine in this song. Lindsay's voice and guitar, John's bass, Mick on the skins, Christine on the squeezebox, and Stevie just dancing around in the background.... It just all works so harmoniously. Rest in peace Christine McVie ❤
Mac at their peak. the whole Dance album shines. great DVD. what a show
Fleetwood Mac is a hell of a drug.
And the magnificent USC Trojans Marching Band continues to entertain every year on the 4th of July when they head up the hometown parade on Avalon's Catalina Island off the coast of Southern Calif...TUSK is always part of their repertoire, and what a thrill it is!
That will be today.
Absolutely magnificent even in 2024!
Sin duda alguna.
Top class performance 👏
Proper music by musicians, playing actual musical instruments.
Here in 2024 as a 32 year old and absolutely mind blown of how good this concert is and how great they all sound. Fleetwood Mac doesn’t get enough credit when you speak about the greatest rock bands of all time, they are up there for sure
A few years older, (44ish) and as being a UCLA allumni, I still love this song, and band.
Exactly 💯
Einfach tolle Music
Well they came 5th in a recent Radio 2 poll of the greatest British band of all time behind Beatles, Queen, Stones and Pink Floyd.
This STILL gives me goosebumps. Nothing ever like it before or after. My God!
Just listened to Three different Playings of this.... Got me Fired up as it does Every time I hear it(Didn't know that it was Pretty much Standard for them to Play with USC until 2 Diff "Official" Fleetwood Mac Vids Included them)... Which makes it Even THAT Much More Special... cannot get this Smile off ma Face

One of the greatest Fleetwood Mac moments.
Lindsey is just so bad ass. He is so respected,he is also a staple good of Fleetwood Mac and nobody EVER replace his voice.
Or his pick’in!
That's right!
I put on my Rumours CD after listening to this yesterday in honour of dear Christine, grew up on Fleetwood Mac, love them, timeless music, BRILLIANT !! I hope she is flying high like a Songbird !! 💖🕊 x
Mick always looks like he's having more fun than anyone else.
Lol, drugs.
He was on more stuff than anyone else 😂

Holy Jesus!!!
This song surely is a golden experience, it has truly, truly made in heaven!
Im so glad jojo introduced me to such cool music
It’s better d4c
Never get tired of this song. I first saw Fleetwood Mac in 1976 in Foxborough, MA that included Boz Scaggs and The Eagles. Unforgettable concert and only cost $13.50.
Never. Its the first Single I bought ...
Damn Mac & Boz double header!?
Wow!! That’s amazing!!
Heck, parking is 3x that now!
I was in college in Florida when "Tusk" was a new album. "Tusk" had to compete with Zepplin's "In Through The Out Door", McCartney's "Back To The Egg", Pink Floyd's "The Wall", Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall", Donna Summer & All The Other Disco Records at the time. Just a GLORIOUS time for music, a GLORIOUS time to be in college at USF in Tampa, Thanks God, for giving me my VERY Appreciated Youth back then, versus now. Fleetwood Mac is more like a Family to my generation, a Family we Love to return home to in our hearts & minds.
After all these years!!! Magnificent! Goosebumps still, SO GOOD! RIP Christine, you brought so much joy.
I remember being in a marching band and that special feeling you got, playing at a special event and making a difference . I get that same feeling again, watching this. This is very inspiring and gratifying to watch, for the musical inclined people out there.
These bandmates will have a lifetime of "remember when" stories to last a lifetime!
Mick always looks so happy to be there.
I was there! What an evening at the Dance. 05/23/97. Hard to believe 25 years have passed.
Crowd went nuts when USC Trojan band came out.
@Alex NutCasio ,
This song would not be the same without the Mighty Wall of Trojans. I have to wonder- did Fleetwood Mac drag USC out to the theater in all their gear for just 2 minutes on stage, or did they play on other songs?
However much it cost, it was worth it. Electrifying. Fight on, USC.
·
@@DrChaad Just Tusk. The whole concert is floating around UA-cam. I don't know if there's HD for the whole thing, though.
Correction: They stayed on for Don't Stop, with the horns moving down to the pit.
Lucky you!!
Cool. You know someone from the Trojans will be commenting shortly.
Your memory of that night will never fade
Fleetwood Mac one of the greatest bands the world has ever seen !!!
I never get tired of this. What a memory if you were in the USC Band.. Once in a Lifetime moments for sure….
Thanks to Fleetwood Mac. Their pain made some of the best music of the 20th century.
Thanks for the posting, at 84, I don’t get to see much live music. ESPECIALLY my favorite musician playing my all time favorite song. I still have my records, TRAFFIC, Derick and the Dominos, all the greats. MY YELLOW TRAFFIC T SHIRT. Too small. I should have it framed. Antique, like me. Thank you GOD I have heard the greatest music EVER and recognized the gift it was and is. 11/8/24. Linda
Agreed.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate how good is Johnny Mac
Amen!

I cannot watch this enough! What brilliant talent all on one stage! Iconic!
To me, this night is the greatest live performance in their history as well as one of the greatest live concerts in all of the stadium rock era.
Wow, I wish I had been there! What a spectacular performance of a unique great song and with the marching band.

The Chain with Christine McVie , members of Fleetwood Macand fans will never be broken. Christine, RIP !
How thrilling to be a college kid in that marching band playing with one of the greatest bands that ever was!
What a performance! Lindsey doesn't hold back on anything!
The band, as a whole, plus the augmentation - absolutely wonderful. RIP Christine - first lady of rock.
Whole song gives me goosebumps!!!!!!
It’s crazy how talented every band member is/was amazing, all of them are totally fucking badass, Mic’s killer drums J.McVie bass hitting my soul, Lindsey’s haunting folk guitar and the lovely ladies, BRILLIANT!
It must have been simply amazing to have been at this gig ! I love how they had the USC Trojans marching band on stage too - awesome !! 😎

He's so underrated. Listen to his isolated vocals for go your own way and prepare to be mind blown. And the picking he does on the guitar in",the chain' is outrageous
This is the tenth time I am watching this. The drummer bugs his eyes out and I bust a gut. This band and the USC Marching band do the most awesome and amazing performances.
That is hilarious isn't it? McVie being McVie. These guys really loved playing together even when they hated each other. How many other bands could take a lesson from them?

I've loved classical music all my life and never cared for any other style until I discovered Fleetwood Mac at the young age of 77. True story.
As a lover of Classical ... how do you react to the band Renaissance - the track "Song of Scheherazade" in particular.
Closer to the heart - Rush
many years later....a teen-ager is scrolling through different videos and discovers this and screams...."DAD YOU AREIN A FLEETWOOD MAC VIDEO!!!!!" Now wouldn't that be a mindrush?
Epic version of the song. The Dance is phenomenal. Thank you for many years of entertainment.
Yes, I would agree that The Dance is their best album.
I just don't have words... amazing!!!!!!!
AWWW! since the first time that I watch "The dance" VHS concert, its music captivated me, thanks for so many years of wonderful music, TUSK with marching band, awesome and motivational! thanks fleetwood mac! warm regards from Jersey and Peru!
🌀TUSK still gives me the pure adrenaline RUSH I felt 49 years ago when I first heard it.
I keep finding myself listening and watching this clip for the hundredth time, looking for some more cameras from more angles, more images of these beautiful musicians making beautiful music. I keep wanting to go back in time to that concert and see their interaction, hear their live music, see Christina, who is especially wonderful here. I want to touch that moment again.
Beautifully said!
