How to clean up rotor housings on a budget.

This is not going to work if you’re housings have lost chrome, or if the housing have deep scratches. This is something that could be used for housings that need a little bit of a clean up. This process takes a lot of material fast so you must be careful when doing it. Also wear a mask and PPE so that you’re not inhaling those metals.

How was the compression on them? Did you try fine grit and use some cutting oil while doing it to get a nice finish?

Always use oil or some sort of lubricant

May do more harm than good. Hand-guiding will risk apex seal wavy contact and more chatter. Just my 2c.

It could do more harm than good if you’re not careful. I have done this a few times with great results.

this dosnt ad the chromium surface. this is nothing more than a hone.

Correct, if you read carefully the description you will fin that no where in there says re-chroming, only clean up the surface.
