As an artist I appreciate that you draw on the hoof. Facinating and informative ! Thanks for making these videos
Super interesting and useful, and I especially enjoyed when you said Whoa to the leg at 48.20! 😅
🤣🤣🤣
Fall asleep watching hoof trimming videos, (they feed my ocd) and here I am. My ability to collect information that has nothing to do with my life has migrated to my sleep. At some point I'm going to be talking and something that I heard here is going to come out of my mouth. And everyone around me will think I'm the smartest person in the room. They will ask me how do I know this and I will tell them I don't know.
Thank you for such an informational video, please keep them coming.
I like when the "horse" twitched at the sensitive central sulcus being probed. Nice realisitic touch. :D
This is so informative and I love it. Thank you so much for these videos! I just started my horse on barefoot.
You doing a good job
So helpful thanks
Ty for the big picture first!, it’s how my brain works but is rare in explanations.
عالی بود

Wow
Are you able to let me know what your measuring tool is called and where I could source one from? Many thanks.
JH Hoof Evaluator (Wing divider) is what it’s called.
The first hoof that had been shoed was Nice. The other had laminai separation. Strange to be so insecure how to maintain dead hoofs.
My belief has always been that the hoof wall has more height than the sole, that there is a go cavity to it. Right now my barefoot trimmer ( horses have been barefoot for years and feet have changed with new trimmer) is leaving a huge “ toe callus” on their soles, so much so that the toe sole is higher than the wall. To me it would be like walking with something under the ball of your foot and uncomfortable. Is this normal or desirable? I’m loving your explanations… just like we used to do 60 yrs ago!! We have soft footing indoor and outside
Appreciate your thoughts
This is an old comment, but you might still read it. From my point of view, this is absolutely normal and good if the toe is too long. How does your horse walk? If they walk comfortably with it, fine. Otherwise, leaving more wall might help.
@@AjnosMitSukarm he seems sensitive on that foot Hard to tell if it is the protruding toe callous or something else. He is retired and at 32 who knows ( X-rays last year only showed imbalance I’d discussed with farrier), but if I run a file and bring it even he seems more comfortable . He bops around like a 10 yr old. Thank you for the comment!
How do you put the hoof back on the horse?
Well done. 👏🏻👏🏻
Duct tape
@@amandalicorne7769 🤣
That’s what hoof glue is for
Something is missing in this vid, kinda feels like we started off on the wrong foot.
what happened to the rest of the horse? O.o
Honestly when I realised it wasn’t a real hoof my heart dropped lmfao
I’m rolling !!
Slaughtered because of health concerns because of poor quality care
It is a real hoove

🇺🇸👍👍👍OK
I wish human feet were this simple … if all I had to do is scrap and peel some stuff off for the soles of my feet to be ok I would so elated … human foot doctors are not to the rescue where are they?!
he is working on amputated limbs !!! ??
Cadaver limbs of horses that are deceased are invaluable teaching tools much like cadavers using in vet and human doctor educational programs. These are not amputated limbs from live horses.
lol course they are not from live horses, @@LamenessPreventionOrg ty from an Aussie barefoot trimmer .
Something is missing.
The other 98% of the horse.😁
Hahaha ..
Oh... MY gosh! I think I'm gonna puke.
Love the use of a dead horse’s lower limb ...chopped off at the glue factory for teaching purposes ?
