Hi! I use the Missha Sun Milk (Soft Finish) SPF 50. It is liquidy, dries slightly matte, and has a light rose fragrance. I’ve used it for 2-3 years and no matter what other brands I experiment with, I come back to this one. My family uses it now too!

I started using the EltaMd sunscreen in a jar after watching you use it in a GRWM. I really like it. Leaves a slight white cast on my skin. I fixed that by adding 1 pump of DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen and mix it together. Both use the same filters.

I discovered the Naked Sundays one thanks to your videos! Even though it’s not oil free and I have combination/oily acne prone skin, I don’t find it greasy. And the tint is not orange at all, even on my pale redhead complexion!

Love glow screen when I’ll be wearing makeup. It’s such a great primer and brings a beautiful luminosity to the skin. EltaMD is my fave non-tinted. UV clear to be specific :). Congrats on a beautiful baby boy! I have 2 (4 and 6)

I am so happy that Naked Sunday is approved by you, Dr Ellis. I prefer mineral sunscreen to its chemical counterpart. It’s difficult to find ‘good’ mineral sunscreen…and by good I mean, no drying, no white cast, accessible in Aus, and in my case, pregnancy-safe. I like the mineral sunscreen by Paula’s choice but it contains willow bark extract which, I understand, should avoided during pregnancy.

I have super sensitive skin - struggling with Neurodermitis - and I really like the UltraSun suncsreens “Moisturising anti-ageing sun protection in 30 or 50”. Very moisturising, like a hydrating lotion, in spring or summer you don’t need a moisturiser underneath and it’s beautiful under makeup. Their family sunscreen is also amazing 🤩 Highly recommended!

I’ve been enjoying how color science wears through the day- it really has a nice satin finish. If I am feeling extra dry though I will reach for Elta md spf 44 UV elements. If I’m SUPER dry I’ll use the ceraVe tinted but that one is honestly a bit shiny for my liking. Color science is a perfect every day- not shiny, not matte.

Thanks for this video! I love the LRP Anthelios. I have dry skin and don't find it drying. It's one of the best non-tinted sunscreens in my view 😊 I currently use the Ultra Violet Mattifying sunscreen. It doesn't have much coverage but it makes the face look smooth and even toned. I want to try the Naked Sundays one! Is the texture similar to the Elta UV physical or the Australian gold tinted? It looks so similar & I love both of those. Also I am so jealous you have rosacea and can use chemical sunscreens on your face. I wish I could 😩 even the new non US filters make me so red lol. Also mega jealous of your Bay Area weather where water-resistant sunscreens aren’t a must-have 8 months out of the year. Here in NC, even doing everyday stuff, like running errands etc, you have to have water resistant because of the humidity.

I like the CosRX aloe soothing sunscreen SPF50 as a daily ‘moisturiser’ for my oily/dehydrated/acne-prone skin. I know there was some recent controversy around it not providing the SPF it claims to provide, but the fact that it’s now been independently tested and verified is enough for me. If I know I’m going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time I’ll use the Garnier Super UV, although I wonder about its UVA protection as it only has 3 stars (I believe this is a UK rating system?)

I live in London and it is very cold here in the winter, I just brought a sunscreen and although I have left it in my room inside my make up bag, it still feels so cold. The DRMTLGY sunscreen has been around for years. I used atleast 4 bottles of the Universal tint than moved on to other products. The reason that I switched is because I ended up with enlarged pores and my melasma became darker. The cause of the enlarged pores is hard to pin point. I used the Universal tint twice every day. Last summer I started using all mineral sunscreens with higher spf. Now my pores are smaller and melasma patches have faded so much that you can barely see it. Apparently they added an all mineral sunscreen but I haven't tried it. The reviews said there was a white cast. I don't want to go back using makeup foundation.

Hi Dr Ellis I have a hard time with spf's tbh - my skin type is very dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone. My current favourites are the mineral spf's from Paula's choice and Avene, or in the Summer when my skin is less dry the Ultrasun chemical spf's usually work for me. My rosacea has been flaring a lot recently and at that time I have to use a mineral spf tbh. i tried the bofJ one shown, plus the much hyped isntree HA spf and had a bad reaction on patch testing. The LRP never works for me (I am in the UK so it is the one shown). i also had a horrible reaction on patch testing to the bondi sands mineral spf (lots of botanical "extracts") and cannot even use most of the chemical baby spf's available here from Avene, LRP, Bioderma etc. My skin is just super finnicky with spf. I tried an alba botanical mineral spf and it was a no too. it's been really difficult finding an spf my skin will tolerate on a daily basis. I know I have to wear it everyday and I do, but so many of them are very drying on my already sore/irritated/dry skin. I always need a moisturiser underneath, but allow at least 10 mins after applying before applying my spf and I use a good amount. I do have a prescription azelaic acid from my Doctor and am really good at looking after my skin, but rosacea flares and calms ongoing even so. I choose skincare very carefully and patch test every single product I use, but my skin can tolerate something well for ages and then suddenly decide it hates it one day. Thereafter i can't use it again and have to look for something else. Best wishes.
ps I also use the Ultrasun lip spf in either the 30 or 50 - it's the best one I have found that actually moisturises the lips.

@@lizzichi86 Yes I have thanks. The tinted version is too dark for me (I'm super pale), but the white untinted version works really well. It's the price that's the kicker - it's over £40 for a 50ml bottle ouch. I do really like it, but with the amount needed and reapplication it's an expensive one to keep buying. I've used 3 bottles last year. The other issue is it doesn't hold up well in warm weather and runs or melts off, so is better for the cooler months. It does sit beautifully under makeup though acting like a primer. thanks and best wishes.
