Great minds think alike. I've been doing this hairstyle for the past three weeks. I love it. I can keep this hair moisturized throughout the week and not have to worry about small strand knots. I also don't get any breakage when I take it down.
Hi Danelle. Love to join you on your journey loving your self and your natural hair texture. I wish I had the patience to shingle my 4B/4C hair. I just pile on as much gel as humanly possible and get out the old Denman brush. Keeping that definition in for 14 days that's amazing. Love your channel!
How I do twist outs is I drench my hair in water before unraveling, then I coat my hair in castor oil as I take it down. It looks like a wash and go and doesn't knot up. I can sleep on it without worrying about the shape changing or bad tangles since my hair will air dry like that and have the coils formed.
@@belindacobb I have a mixture. I would say mostly 4a4b but on the back of my head is 4c with some 4b. I sleep on the back of my head and it doesn't tangle so I would say this method is good for 4c as well. I have high porosity so the water and oil dry up quickly. I use the LOC method so with just water and oil my hair stays extremely hydrated during the day. The oil stays at the end of the coils but I never see them fall. The hair traps the oil inside. I prefer to use a lot of oil, but it does vary sometimes
This has always been my wash and goes. I would go crazy trying it now. As someone with 4c hair, high density, thicccc strands right now i cannot shangling every damn hair strand. That's crazy! It'd never dry without heat. Also little trick for 4c hair. It loves green tea! At least mine does. He adores it.
I have ultra fine strands and high density. I do not have the time patience or energy to finger coil each curl. Nah. Nope. I will do my sideburns and call it a day. Lol!
You’re hair is looking soooooo excellent gyal! Way to go! Looks healthy! Those products just sound like great quality👍🏾 but your technique is MASTERED!
I respect you my love, because I have NO time lmao. I have type 4 midback lengh hair and the wash and go is the bane of my natural hair existence. Also Cleo (my hair) despises gel so a head full of it doesn't sit well with her. She tangles and knots and then she shrinks, locking herself in that position. Not to mention the snowstorm. She's a real diva 😪 But your hair is looking BEAUTIFUL, love 💓
Had to pause to say - I'd advice against method for 4b/c curls cause it causes massive tangles on wash day. Take it from someone with same texture that has tried it and lost so much hair combing this out.
Giving YT the win for this recommended channel. Not only are you absolutely beautiful, your energy is SENDING me. You are a heckin' delight. Can't wait to see more of your videos.
I feel your pain😣. I have a looser pattern in the back and left front. I hate the mullet look too....But I'm trying to accept what my hair wants to do🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😅
Your wash and go looks great. You are actually doing the shingling plus coiling method which takes longer to do but lasts quite long. I do the shingling method and my hair lasts 14 days without refreshing but I have medium porosity hair which holds moisture well. I just put on a bonnet at night and in the morning I just fluff and go.
You have more patience than I. My wash n go method is the rake and shake method. I smother sections of my hair in product, detangle/ rake it in until I see clumps and definition. Then when I'm done with my entire head I spray extra water and shake, so my clumps separate naturally and it coils on it's own.
My husband does a wash n go literally everyday for over a year and a half now. He moisturize it daily. He has it down packed. Doesn't take him long. His curls are beautiful. Everybody always think he went to a salon and got a comb twist because his curls are even tighter than yours. He finger combs only and it works wonderfully.
God bless you, child. Forget the amidextrosity--the PATIENCE to shingle your entire, dense head of hair... I can't even IMAGINE how long that takes. It looks amazing.
Starpuppy thank you soooo much for making your hair videos. You remind me a lot of my own hair journey in accepting and learning to love my 4c and sparse density hair. Now, thanks to you I have discovered the game changer that aloe vera is in my wash n' go. I tried to finger coil my hair at first like you did but the coils weren't coming out the way I liked so I tried raking and shingling it instead which gave my hair more of a 'separated coil look' then continued throughout my whole hair and I absolutely fell in love😍 bc not only did my hair, lolz, "clump" beautifully but they were unbelievably juicy and moisturised like never before. Also, my hair was so soft and flexible in the wind which wasn't normally possible from the gel I would use to define my coils. I might not have been able to follow through entirely with your wash n' go (finger coiling) method but you still helped me find a better way to do it - in a way that really compliments my hair😊.

Girl, girl, girl! I did this method using similar products and it worked! Like I'm so shocked. Thank you for this video.
How I do twist outs is I drench my hair in water before unraveling, then I coat my hair in castor oil as I take it down. It looks like a wash and go and doesn't knot up. I can sleep on it without worrying about the shape changing or bad tangles since my hair will air dry like that and have the coils formed.
Wow that's awesome. Do you have type 4c hair? What they call type 4c because we are not hung up on typing right?
Oh is it soaking wet and do your hair be really oily?
@@belindacobb I have a mixture. I would say mostly 4a4b but on the back of my head is 4c with some 4b. I sleep on the back of my head and it doesn't tangle so I would say this method is good for 4c as well. I have high porosity so the water and oil dry up quickly. I use the LOC method so with just water and oil my hair stays extremely hydrated during the day. The oil stays at the end of the coils but I never see them fall. The hair traps the oil inside. I prefer to use a lot of oil, but it does vary sometimes
Either three strand twist or you are not twisting properly, I found out I was twisting completely wrong.
@@kld6 I know how to do rope, three and regular twists, but why might I be twisting wrong??
Your hair is so beautiful and looks so healthy. I’m happy that you’ve found a routine that helps fluff nugget thrive.
She's a real diva 😪
But your hair is looking BEAUTIFUL, love 💓
Fluff is soooo beautiful like her owner ! I love watching you and your hair.
You have the patience of a saint!! I could NEVA!! But ur curls r poppin!! 🥰🥰
That's more work than I am willing to do but I watched anyway because your personality is fun and engaging.
I found that putting on a shower cap for a few minutes after the leave in helps it absorb moisture better
Oh my gosh finally somebody with my hair please show me more ways to keep it moist
Thanks so much I’m tired of UA-camrs lying about having 4c hair.
Man I'd so try this if I had a consistent curl pattern
I have 3c hair in the back and I rather not have a mullet for 2 weeks
Oh yeah I have those weird back pieces and temple pieces that for some unknown reason take a ton of gel and 10 minutes to define one tiny curl!
Girl the mullet life is so real 😩
😂😂😂😂
I feel your pain😣. I have a looser pattern in the back and left front. I hate the mullet look too....But I'm trying to accept what my hair wants to do🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😅
Hahahahahahahahahahhaha!!! Me too!!!
The patience you have!! It's really pretty!!
Since we're quarantined I think I just might try this after I take my braids out
The shear effort you put into your wash and go!!!! Love 💘 it!!! Love the humor you put into coily hair
I'm so happy to finally see someone who's actually got my type of hair
4C hair..... highly appreciated🙌🏽💞
This is exactly what my hair does. Your hair is beautiful.
I really thought nobody else did this 🙌🏾 100% worth the effort
Your hair looks INCREDIBLE! I love, love, LOVE it!
Omg loved this! So wanna try this on my boyfriend’s daughter’s hair! 🥰
