  • Having adjustable toe, camber, caster and even wheel track width can come in very handy when optimizing a car for track duty.
    Sadly, there isn't much adjustment available with the factory components so an upgrade in adjustable suspension arms is a worthwhile investment.
    We used a complete setup from the GodSpeed Project and installed it on our Nissan 240SX with relative ease.

    Everyone here do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy godspeed suspension parts. They'll seem great a first and then they'll wear out in a year or less. Spend a little more for some quality parts it will save you in the long run.

    Wow, GodSpeed has stepped up their game. I once ordered a set of rear camber kit and they looked really horrible. Your set looks very good in quality. Might have to reconsider them again.

    Hey you never even mentioned what you did with those front sway bar links yoi left hanging after you mounted the control arms..Did you leave them that way, where do you mount them?

    I just wanted to know why adjustable control arms are bad for daily driven cars.. so road noise and Tyre wear? is that it does it sacrifice the comfort?

    Should look into getting the little rubber boots that slip over and protect the rose joints, pack them with grease and the longevity of the bushes should be increased.

    • @speedacademy
      @speedacademy  9 років тому

      +thesam101 Agreed, the issue is finding proper boots. I dont drive this car enough to really have them wear out fast but people that do should have them.

    are you going to replace the bushings on the suspension eventually?

    • @speedacademy
      @speedacademy  9 років тому

      cuFFthisSh1T There aren't many bushings left to replace. The arms get rid of almost all of them. The subframe bushings are really all that needs to be upgraded eventually.

    question about the heim joint being so angled on the rear control arm, did that give you any adjustment issues with the camber? because might now on my pbms is like this one and my camber arm is all the way short and i cant get any negative camber adjustment if i wanted too

    • @speedacademy
      @speedacademy  8 років тому

      +Crazyrogue Sounds like you have yours adjusted too far in and need to push it out which will indeed add negative camber and allow for more adjustment.

    is it safe to say I can use a setup like this for daily driving but will be installed in an s13 platform

    • @CaptainTyler-xi9zs
      @CaptainTyler-xi9zs 6 років тому

      Brian Bejado the only reason it’d hurt daily driving is if you have lots of camber or toe. An alignment can fix that. But the only reason to buy adjustable is if you want camber or steering angle

    I have rear Godspeed control arms on 2011 maxima lowered and all is good after alignment but 1 year later I'm having a horrible clunk from them with any bump where the arm is connected to a threaded part to expand the control arm I greased it and tightened then loosened to see if it goes away and still there any ideas what's happening ?? Thanks

    • @speedacademy
      @speedacademy  8 років тому

      This is typical for spherical bearings that are street driven. Your issue is the spherical bearing has gotten dirt into it and thus worn out and is most likely causing the clunking. You can replace the bearing and it'll be all tight again.

    Did you get the chance to try out the arms? I'm iffy about GodSpeed... How are they holding up?

    • @speedacademy
      @speedacademy  9 років тому

      Sharad Sharma So far so good. Drove the car to the alignment shop and it drove fine without issue. Ill be heading to the track to test the setup as soon as I replace the rear subframe.

    do they wear out so much faster than normal ones? i daily my s13 and i dont want to buy new ones every year

    • @speedacademy
      @speedacademy  8 років тому

      Then stock bushings? Yes, since they're spherical and not covered with rubber dirt can get in them and wear them out.

    • @dannys1364
      @dannys1364 8 років тому

      but what do you consider faster? and can i buy those bushings alone if they wear out?
